Ideal für Kurzaufenthalt

Am oberen Ende der Altstadt gelegenes Hotel mit einfachen Zimmern zu vernünftigen Preisen. Ideal für einen Kurzaufenthalt in Fribourg.

Excellent!

The room had space enough for two persons and excellent equipped. The hotel is situated in the heart of Fribourg and very near to the railway station. Daily impeccable cleaning.

A happy, friendly and comfortable stay in a very interesting city, thank you.

We had a very warm and friendly greeting on arrival, the staff were very cheerful and helpful. the room was spacious and clean and very quiet at night and the central location was excellent.

It would have been good if there were a few more drinks sachets, coffee tea and milk for example, but good to have a kettle in the room and a fridge.

A very old hotel at a great location that needs a major renovation

Location was great. Perfect location when travelling with children and public transport. Lots of shops, restaurants, historical sites, and train station near by.

Door knobs were not properely working (both room door and bathroom). And the building has a weird oder. Breakfast was overpriced. Room was full of built-in closet, which was not nessesary. Kitchen at the room did not have any silverware or plates.

Nice hotel, but not for a 1-night driving stop-over.

The room was an apartment, and well equipped in terms of kitchen and supplies. It was shaped very angularly, but there was plenty of space for 2 people. It was comfortable and we slept well in the beds. The location was central and on a shopping street, so there would be plenty to do and see here. The staff proactively made sure we knew how to get our key when we arrived after normal check-in hours.

We stayed here 1 night while travelling from NL to Champery for skiing. We arrived at 10pm and left at 7am. We never saw the staff, which was fine. But the fact that this hotel is on a shopping street meant we had to park in an underground, public parking lot where we could not safely leave our stuff. So, we carried everything (in 2 trips) through the parking facility and through the village to the hotel, because you cannot unload anywhere close to the hotel. The hotel would be great for some things, but for a 1 night stopover on a long drive, it's the wrong choice.

suite had a kitchen but nothing to cook or eat with, also the floor cleaner they use has a strong smell that is hard to adjust to

practical and comfortable room on central pedestrian street less than 10 min on foot to train station

central location less than 10 min on foot from train station, price, prompt response of staff to fact of checking in outside reception opening hrs

reception not 24 hrs,…poor maintenance of shower cabine door

A small, modest friendly hotel in the old part of town.

Situated in the old town. Heating came on morning and evening, very cold so early in the year.

Comfortable, quiet, clean and practical

The staffs were very kind and I felt at home. The room was very clean, full equipped, and also very quiet. The location is also perfect, which is easy to reach from the station, is in the center, and was also close to my destination.

The only point that I have to complain was the position of the plug-ins. I wished to have the plug-in one in the bathroom and one on the bedside.

great position, clean room

Hotel du Faucon is in a central position, easy to reach from the train station. The room I occupied was not too large yet it was comfortable, clean, and there was also a refrigerator. The self check-in procedure with keys in a box worked smoothly.

Second home

I booked this hotel for while moving my residence. It had enough floor space, cabinets and shelves to keep my stuff organized. The full sized refrigerator and kitchen sink were helpful. And right outside are restaurants and the commercial center of Fribourg. Friendly staff.

The pillows could be firmer. And FYI, the stove and oven one might see in the pictures do not work (and never have since 10 years ago that I stayed here). Not that I would use them if they did work, but seems a waste of space.

Passable

The location of the hotel close to both trainstation and a nice, old-towny area with lots of cafés and restaurants.

The room looks a bit worn down, several small defects like missing curtain sliders, lose lamp fixures etc. gave it a slightly shabby look. The in-room kitchenette was not working on purpose, and in the hallway there was an unpleasant smell of sewage. Our room was looking out on an ugly backyard - bad luck, I know, but it didn't help the overall impression.
