About this cottage rental
Old Schoolyard Cottage is a charming brick and flint period cottage with a character all of it's own. The cottage sleeps a maximum of four people in two well-proportioned bedrooms but guests should be aware that the stairs are quite steep. Downstairs, the dining room linking the lounge and kitchen and gives ample space for families to spread out.
The cottage is ideally situated being a few moments' walk from the beach and High Street, making daily trips to the local shops a pleasure and yet within minutes you can be on the coastal path or on the cliffs high above the town.
There is off-road parking for one car, on the concrete pad in front of the cottage and a long-stay car park 100 meters up Cliff Road for additional vehicles or visitors.
Free WiFi is available. Linen is provided but guests are asked to bring their own towels. The cottage has gas central heating and fitted carpets throughout, except for the bathroom and kitchen, and UPVC double glazing. The tourist information folders are updated each year and a selection of books, DVDs and board games is available. The rear porch area houses a spin drier, freezer, beach chairs and a windbreak but is also suitable for storing bikes etc.
We regret we are not able to accept pets. Smoking is not permitted inside the property. Short breaks are not available in July/August.

We had a lovely time, the cottage is close to the sea front and close to the high st with a great array of independent shops. The parking space fitted our ford focus very well. The cottage was comfortable and had everything we needed. If we were coming back to Sheringham we'd stay again

We really enjoyed our stay in the cottage and would book it again! The beds are comfortable, the shower is hot with plenty of water. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need for breakfast and basic daily cooking. Upon arrival the cottage was clean and inviting. Thank you very much for enabling a short stay over the Easter holidays.

A warm and cosy cottage in the perfect location for walking to the beach or the shops. Sheringham beach only a few minutes walk away. Supermarket, amusements, ice cream and fish and chip shops all very close by. We also walked along the promenade to East Runton where we looked for crabs in the rock pools and we got a bus to Cromer to have a look round there too. We had a lovely time and enjoyed our stay.

Excellent old fashioned cottage in great location
The cottage is very cosy but still really bright and airy. Itās so close to the beach and to the pretty shops and cafes of Sheringham Extremely clean cottage with comfy beds , and all the facilities you require. The only observation that could be worth pointing out is the very narrow steep staircase, which an elderly person might struggle with. But itās doable with care. Itās great that we could park the largish car right outside the cottage. Would definitely recommend this place as it wasnāt at all expensive, yet provides all you need to for stay right in Sheringham. The owner was extremely accommodating when we wanted to extend by an extra night.

Only one word describes our stay at the cottage that is BRILLIANT, It's cosy,warm the sea is so close ,walkings great and the locals are so friendly.

A great holiday
Very convenient location. Access round the back to keep bikes. Could not access one day because of scary dog in next door rental. Photos showed table and chairs outside. No-one would sit there as always in shade and next to bins. However, so close to sea this did not matter. Also, having been walking/cycling all day we were glad to put our feet up in the comfy lounge.

Beautiful cosy little cottage
A gorgeous little cosy cottage, the cottage was immaculately clean when we arrived and had everything we possibly needed for a family of 4. The parking space was a huge bonus too. Within 30 second walk to the beach and a minute to the town centre, it is in an ideal location . Would definitely book this cottage again and recommend to friends and family. All communication with the owner was amazing and gaining entry to the property couldnāt have been any easier. We had an amazing stay. Thank you for having us and we canāt wait to come back. Great location in quaint cottage
2 mins from seafront and 5 from shops with the bonus of a parking space the cottage is ideal for coastal walks, exploring Sheringham or going on the coast hopper bus. It was roomy for 4 people although the bathroom is very small with a folding door. It was well equipped, including lots of DVDs, books and games. Jane is an excellent host and came over to help us when we had some issues with the heating. Good value for money.
