This Carolina Beach Vacation rental is a few short blocks from the Carolina Beach Boardwalk, you can even sit and watch the Thursday Night Summer fireworks display from the comforts of your oceanfront deck.

Good: Large, on the beach, easy access to everything. Very clean, easy good communication from owner Bar: House as whole was very old, Large bathroom had 0 water pressure, everyone had to shower in second bathroom...some appliances new, beds were new...everything else looked and was very old. No TV's in bedrooms. It felt like something from the 70's. Definitely needs remodeled for a vacation home.

Arriving at this rental was a nightmare!! There was mold in the showers and the shower curtains were covered in mold. The air vents were covered in mold as well. The house was filthy! I had to go to the rental agency, showed them pictures and they were horrified. They did send a cleaning crew (who were also dumbfounded by the filth) several hours later it was much cleaner but still quite disgusting! I spend 3 of the 7 day vacation cleaning dishes, floors, and walls. I had to wash every dish in the house as they were dirty. This is unacceptable for the amount of money we spent. The porch was so covered in sand I was never able to get it completely clean. The rugs are nailed to the floor so it's impossible to shake the sand out of them, also there was no broom, and the mop was so filthy that using it made the floors dirtier. The reality company did send a new broom and mop after I requested it. The toilets were very wobbly and great care had to be taken when using them as to not fall onto the floor. The bed are VERY old , I had to purchase a mattress pad ($80) to be able to somewhat sleep. I have been coming to Carolina beach for 35 yrs. This by far was the worst experience of my entire life!! Also the website is not accurate about the view. There are sand dunes infront of the house so there is NO beach view you are able to see the water. But not as shown on the site. And there is no beach access. You must use the public access located next to the house. The kicker of it all was the fact that I rented a house for 10 people but only had parking for 2 vehicles, the neighbors renting the bottom of the house decided all the parking was for them and ultimately cost me $389.75 in parking fees and tickets!! I will NEVER stay here again!! ABSOLUTELY filthy and unnecessary expenses that the rental company should have disclosed. I am beyond disappointed!! My entire vacation with my adult children was ruined and my husband and I are absolutely heartbroken!

Old,worn,shabby,dated,smelly. All 4 beds/pillows totally broken down; flipping mattress no help. Faint smell of old beer, urine throughout. No comfortable furniture inside or out. PLYWOOD used for some counter tops! 1 bathroom size of plane lavatory completely unacceptable. Needed plumber twice, embarrassed to take new son in law there. Family called it the animal house. Reminds me of 30 year old mobile home thats never been touched or updated since new.Outside of building, porch, etc very shabby, torn screens, mismatched. Ceiling so low one said felt like being in a coffin at nite when lights turned off. Not even helpful that it was a bargain as it was NOT cheap for this dump! Insult to injury. Had to buy toilet paper and paper towels, no beach furniture included. Suitable only for freshman or sophomore college students with very low standards. Not suitable for any kind of family stay. Had to ask for a cleaner to come out, dirty tub for baby, hair on the floor. Our worst ever vacation rental. will not use Carolina Reality again since they represent this as acceptable. Would give it zero stars if that were possible.
