We had a wonderful stay at the villa in Frigliana. We had our extended family including 2 infants and and 8 year old grandsons staying with us and their parents.
The villa has many exceptional features including the views from all the balconies to the mountains and sea at nerja. Just a short walk and your are in frigiliana which we have been to many times before.
The pool and all the swimming toys were great and everyone enjoyed it as the weather was quite warm at 32° .
Plenty of dining areas including by the pool which was really useful.
The main balcony by the living room was a great place for all the family to enjoy food, socialising, playing cards etc .
The top floor master suite was delightful plenty of room, dressing room and separate bathroom with shower and bath.
The kitchen was well equipped. One minor point is that as the fridge freezer was small for the numbers in our party.
Overall we had a great time. Thanks to steve and kate the local cleaning and maintenance team who were very helpful and accommodating.
Overall we had a very memorable family getaway.

The villa is beautiful. It has superb views to the south and close to the excellent facilities in Frigiliana. There are loads of places to eat. There are some great walks in the area; the local tourist office ranks their difficulty but even the easy ones are a tough walk. The arrangements for the villa were good and it’s easy to find with excellent access to the motorway to Malaga / Granada.

We went with family to this villa. The villa is so much better than advertised, everything you need is here. It was very well equipped and it is absolutely beautiful. The photos and description don't do it justice. Frihliana is beautiful and a very friendly place to visit. We will definitely go back there, and hope we will be able to stay at this wonderful villa again

We've holidayed as a large family group round Andalusia for the last 12 or 13 years, and this villa is as good as any we've stayed in.
Inside, it was clean and airy. The temperatures were pushing 40 for most of our stay, and the air con had it's moments, but by and large, it held up. Loads of cutlery and glasses for a large group. Maybe a few bigger pans needed. The rooms were all spacious, and the two young ones liked having their own room apart from the main house.
The views from the villa are stunning. I get first choice of rooms for organising it every year, and the master bedroom on the top floor - when you open the curtains in the morning. Wow. Mountains all around, and a clear view all the way down to the sea at Nerja.
Outside, the pool area is great. Faces south, and plenty of spaces to lie out all day, as well as a shady naya with a fridge and table for those who were beat by the sun, and just wanted to read in the shade. A few power points as well for charging phones and Kindles.
Frigiliana is a typical, friendly, white-washed Spanish village. Enough bars and restaurants, with one of the local bars showing EPL football for those who need their fix. An Eroski has enough for a decent shop, including a good butchers, but we ordered online through the Mercadona app for the big shop.
Few tips - it's a good 20 minute walk to the main plaza area in the village. Best to go downhill at the roundabout, and then there's a gradual climb back up near the end. If you go the other way, uphill, there's a couple of bars to break your walk up, but in 40 degree heat, you will need them! My calves are still tight, 2 weeks later! When you come back to the villa, come this way, as it's all downhill.
There are two rubbish drops close by, but unless you're walking on into the village anyway, use the one down to your left as you exit the villa. A lot easier to walk downhill with lots of rubbish bags, and stroll back up again.
We never hire a car, and if you just want to stay in the local area, you don't need one. We spent a few days out in Nerja and Almunecar, and it was a 15 minute bus to Nerja for just over a Euro. Another 25 minutes by bus, takes you to the more Spanish town of Almunecar, for about 3 Euros. Ubers are about 12-15 Euros to and from Nerja if you miss the last bus back.
We've never visited the same place twice in all these years, but if we did, we would do it here, and that's about as big a compliment as I can give it.

Frigiliana Family Holiday
We had a great week in this spotless villa with breathtaking views. The accommodation allows for all ages and has loads of space and things to do. We only put the tv on once to check on some news. The pool area is fantastic and there are numerous shaded areas for the fair skinned or if you want a break from the sun. The air conditioning is easy to use and cools the spaces really well. Frigiliana is a beautiful white village and only a 10 minute stroll up the small hill. Great for wandering back after dinner at night. We really enjoyed the whole experience.

Beautiful villa in a magical town
The photos don't do this property justice. This is a modern high spec villa that easily accomodated 3 generations plus spouses plus toddlers. 6 adults and 4 children. Sufficient room to give everyone their own space when needed, but also plenty of space to be together. The views from the swimming pool and balconies are truly stunning.
Owner was very easy to deal with and responded quickly to requests for info, and got checked into the villa very easily with the contacts on site.
Frigiliana felt like a true spanish town which catered for the tourist demand yet retained its own culture and charisma. The old town is beautiful.
Addressing a few of the previous reviews: the air con was absolutely fine, there was plentiful cutlery, and the villa 2 doors down appears to be nearly complete.
We really enjoyed our time here and would love to come back in the future. Thank you for having us.

A good villa with lots of space
This is a good villa with lots of space inside and out. It was generally clean and well appointed. The location on the outskirts of the village is ideal for the 15 minute walk into the centre. The views from the balcony are amazing. The villa is split over several levels and we found this did impact slightly on our older family members as there are lots of stairs. A few niggles and why I didn’t score it 5 stars. Only 2 wine glasses for up to 10 guests? The air conditioning is on a motion sensor which is not much use at night. The unit in the master bedroom also had water pouring out of it if you had it on for longer than 10 minutes. It constantly flooded the floor. The information folder in the villa could do with more local information and hints and tips. None of these minor things affected the enjoyment of our stay and we would highly recommend it to family and friends. Frigiliana is a lovely village with a good selection of bars and restaurants. Nerja is a 10 minute drive and is a lovely place to visit.

Lovely villa in a great location!
The villa is lovely with plenty of room for 10 people. Set over 4 floors the villa has everything you need. Comfortable living accommodation as well as plenty of outside space. The pool was cold but we were there in May and didn’t really bother most of us. One issue was with the air conditioning , it’s one size fits all in terms of temperature as this is set centrally so each room is the same. This isn’t really ideal for a big villa and 10 people with different needs. To be honest, it didn’t really bother us too much as we didn’t have it on much but I would anticipate this being a problem for some especially in winter or the height of summer. Location is fantastic , with beautiful Frigiliana within a 10 minute stroll and a bus stop to Nerja a few minutes away. I would definitely return to this villa but would recommend the owner consider the air con situation.

Great villa, beautiful location and amazing views
The villa was perfect for two families with children. The villa is spacious, well maintained, has plenty of places to sit both inside and outside and in a peaceful location. The kids loved the pool and the games room and the views down to Nerja and out to sea are amazing. Frigiliana is a beautiful village with lots of great shops, bars and places to eat and within a short walk of the villa. Would highly recommend both the villa and Frigiliana!

Just right for a family holiday
The villa is in a superb position, with views down to the sea, and of mountains on either side. The layout works well, with the top floor suite for the 'most important' members of the family, and the other bedrooms on the lower floor, beneath the living room/kitchen. The swimming pool and BBQ/eating area were put to good use, and we were impressed that someone came mid-week to clean the pool and its filters.
Frigiliana is a very attractive pueblo village and is only 5 minutes walk from the villa. It has some good restaurants - Restaurante El Casino for rooftop meals and a chocolatier on the Plaza de las Tres Culturas for spiced hot chocolate.
If you like walking then go up El Fuerte as the sun is rising for really spectacular views; there are many local walks in the area but the signage and written descriptions are not very accurate or complete. Trail running is to be recommended!

Amazing villa in a lovely area.
We are just back from an awesome stay in this beautiful comfortable villa. As a party of 9 adults we had plenty of room to all socialise together but also the younger members had there own space to relax. Leaving us oldies to enjoy the large terrace. This is an excellently equipped villa in a lovely area with beautiful views. We used the pool constantly with great enjoyment and spent some time at the Plaza where we had some lovely food and cocktails. We would all love to return to this fantastic villa.

Just right
We've just come home after a fortnight stay in this lovely villa in a wonderful part of Spain. we are two families - 4 adults 4 teens - and this accommodation gave us everything we wanted... space, pool, games room, large kitchen, lots of seating space, air con, lovely balconies, and an easy walk into Frigiliana. Kate and Steve were on hand to sort linen, clean pool etc. and Caroline was very responsive via email to answer all our questions before our holiday. Thank you.
We love this corner of the Costa Del Sol and this villa gave us the ideal base. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Fab villa in superb location
We loved the villa it is very spacious we were a family group of 9 ...3 generations. It is very well appointed beds all comfy lots of bathrooms. The downstairs area was fab for us we made bbqs and played cards down there. The pool area is great with plenty of furniture. We were there early April so didn't use the pool as was a bit too cold. Frigliana is a very beautiful town lots of character and loads of eateries to try. It's quaint streets are magical. We will definitely go back

Beautiful mountain views
The property and location are stunning but unfortunately the construction site next door with diggers and bulldozers creating noise and dust every day made it impossible to relax at the villa or enjoy the pool apart from Sunday when they were not working. I would return but not until building work is complete in the future.

Fantastic villa with panoramic views
We visited this villa from 21 July to 4 August 2016. We were 2 families of 4 in each - the youngest being 9 years old. It is very spacious with 5 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms/toilets and so perfect for 8 of us. The property was very clean and well maintained and there were plenty of towels. There are lots of seating areas and the master bedroom on the top floor is amazing. We had a minibus for the 8 of us to all go out together in the evening for meals but this was not necessary as there are lots of very good restaurants in walking distance. It is steep up to Frigiliana but, as long as you are able to walk, it is a lovely stroll to a beautiful place with panoramic views. The view down to the sea and up to the mountains from the villa is spectacular. There is a shower and toilet by the pool and also a kitchen and barbecue. The pool is small but deep so lovely to cool off in.There is a lift in the villa as it is over 4 floors but this was not in service when we were there but we did not require it. I assume that if you requested it, it could be in service. The kitchen is very well equipped and there is a washing machine outside in a utility room. There are 9 sunbeds and some umbrellas by the pool. It is a short drive down to Nerja where the beaches are lovely and there are lots of watersports such as parasailing and jetskiiing. We went to Granada for a day, went walking in the Sierra Nevada, enjoyed parasailing and also went to a waterpark but, mostly, we stayed by the pool in the villa. The only downside of the villa was the air conditioning. It was very hot in August (up to 39 degrees) and the aircon wasn't very cold unless you had the remote control of which there was only one. You couldn't put the aircon on an hour before you went to bed because it would automatically turn off but we understood that this was because previous visitors had left it on constantly for 2 weeks and it is very expensive so we appreciated the problem.. The owners provided good customer service as, when we contacted them, Steve came out to solve any problems we had and he also came to clean the pool mid-week. It is very Spanish in Nerja and Frigiliana so we enjoyed trying out our basic Spanish-speaking skills which were appreciated in the restaurants. We would definitely visit this villa again as it was superb!

Spacious well equipped, great location villa
Absolutely loved the villa and location,it had everything you needed and close to the village and Nerja, bedrooms all good sizes and the master bedroom was special. Pool area well laid out with plenty of sunbed space and shaded area eating or relaxing in the swinging chair.
Would highly recommend the villa to all people young old couples or family

Spacious, clean, fully equipped
From the road, there is little to announce the house and then one steps inside and out on the balcony and there is one of the most spectacular views you will see. To the right is Frigilian gorge and straight ahead lied Nerja and the sea. The master bedroom has its own balcony with the same view and three floors down other bedrooms open up to look down the river valley to the sea and over the pool. The house has a spacious living room and dining area, a big kitchen in which many people can be preparing and cooking at the same time. The balcony can easily take 8 or 9 people sitting in the sun enjoying the view and breakfast. There were 9 of us (4 couples and one teenager) and we never felt there was any lack of space - plenty od places to be private and also public. It's a short 10 minute walk to the centre and a few minutes from the bakery and cafe. Frigiliana itself is pretty and the surrounding hills meant to go for a hike we could walk from the house and rarely had to use the car except for supermarket runs. I can thoroughly recommend this property for a hoiday - we had a great time.
