Large airy apartment with sunny balcony but we were not advised that the swimming pools were closed due to the drought, neither were we advised that the adjoining flat was being refurbished resulting in a LOT of noise and dust throughout the stay. To date we have heard nothing from the owner re compensation or even an apology. The apartment was surface clean but the shower door track ways were filthy as were the trackways of the balcony doors. Apart from the extreme noise the flat was value for money although basic - the crockery and cutlery did not match, the sofa not very comfortable (unlike the bed which was extremely comfortable) and the access involves quite a few steps - not suitable for anyone with mobility difficulties. The builders refurbing the next flat were so enthusiastic with their hammer that they managed to knock a hole through the wall, showering the living room with rubble Thankfully this was in the last few hours of our stay and were not hurt but may have been had we been in the flat at the time. All in all, were were disappointed in this flat but have booked a much better (but pricier) apartment via VRBO for next year.

Just returned from a 4 night break with my husband and 18 year old son. Communication with Olive was great and a day or two before we left, loads of information was sent through on WhatsApp from Colm including details of taxi transfer which was great as we didn't have a car. Check in couldn't have been easier and accommodation is as described. It's not luxury, but it has everything you need. Location is good, 15 minutes walk to the beach but it is a steep hill so pack your good shoes! Loads of lovely restaurants and bars along the boardwalk. Perfect place for a short stay. The property was as advertised. What we liked particularly were the two bathrooms as this avoided queues in the morning. The apartment wS spacious with good-sized terrace which was sunny until late evening. Parking was a bit tricky but we solved that by unloading at the front and parking at the back.

The apartment is in a beautiful property, a 5 minute drive or 25 minute walk to Max Beach - nice and low key, had a lovely long boardwalk along the beach, and several nice beach restaurants, supermarket, pharmacy. Parking behind the Rocco Grill is always available and not cramped. The apartment is not a luxury apartment, but had everything you need - a lovely balcony with a nice sea view, and overlooking the pool, comfortable beds, laundry machine, decent kitchen, and all the necessities for a week or longer stay. Everything was spotless, and very well organized, and Colm was always just a message or phone call away anyone we had questions. A word of advice - RTFM 🙂 - Colm provided a lot of information about finding the apartment once you are in the development, which I didn't read in detail, and we arrived late at night, and spent a while looking for the apartment in the dark. So, do read the instructions in detail - which gate to enter, where to find the common light switches, etc. We enjoyed our stay here and will likely pick the same one of we are back in the Marbella area.

My husband myself and three kids aged 10,12 and 13, had such a lovely time staying here. When you walk into the appartment you are just with the sea view from the balcony. It was so easy to communicate with Colm the manager. He gave me a number so I could arrange an airport transfer. He sent me a welcome pack with all the details we could need and pin drops for the beach etc. My kids loved the pool and it kept them entertained we were able to walk to the restaurants and there was lots of choice. I would def stay there again. Thanks so much.

Excellent property, facilities and equipment were spot on and we all had a lovely holiday! The pools were both great and we did a mixture of eating in and out of the apartment. We had everything we could need to cook at home. Our favourite restaurant by a mile was Mamma Nostra for amazing pizza's and pasta. We're a fairly fit family and there is a 1km hill to the property which is not for the faint hearted (or unfit!) so supermarket / beach / evenings out required planning as you don't want to do the walk more than twice a day! Highly recommended for a lovely relaxing family holiday

Really enjoyed our stay. Everything was clean. The only place I’ve stayed where the freezer actually works! The ceiling fans in both bedrooms were a godsend, really quiet and keeps you cool all night. Just beware of the sliding door on the balcony…don’t close it if you’re outside. You won’t be able to get back in. Really friendly owners who give you all the information you need on WhatsApp. Cheers!

Great apartment.. clean and with very comfortable beds , well equipped kitchen and verandah overlooking the pool and with sea and sunset views. Immaculate gardens and pool areas. I hired a car which gave us a lot of freedom and flexibility but public transport in Costa Mijas is very good. Bus stops are at the bottom of the hill in both directions .....for Marbella , La Cala and Fuengirola. ( Change here for a visit to beauriful Mijas..a must!) Car or taxi needed for those with mobility issues but easy 12minute walk, otherwise...to the beach, restaurants and supermarket....and the great boardwalk which runs along the beach to nearby La Cala ....favourite village of ours with fantastic restaurants, twice weekly open air market , chiringuitos, on the beach and pretty little streets to explore. Communication with Colm and Olive was fantastic, they couldn't be more helpful! Wonderful holiday. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Christine ( May 2023)

We had a wonderful stay at Pueblo Los Olivos. The whole process from asking questions before booking, to departure was great with good communication. The all year round pool was clean and open as expected. Unfortunately the larger pool was slightly delayed in opening due to a pump issue but this was rectified whilst we were there and used it every day. The hill to walk up (that has been mentioned) is no problem if you are fit and well and take your time. If you're too hot, carrying bags or have had a couple of beers the taxi rank is opposite the supermarket and only €5. There are beautiful views all around the complex. We walked up to Miraflores and down to the beach most days. The bus stops at Max Beach and between €6 & €9 (single for a family of 4) to Fuengirola and Marbella. Marbella old town was stunning. We visited Miraflores Tennis Club and hired a court and rackets and had a dip in their pool. The beach closet to the apartment is a bit rocky but we walked along to Luna Beach at Calahonda which was sandy and safe with lifeguards on duty. It also had a lovely bar. The walk along the boardwalk in both directions (Calahonda or La Cala de Mijas) is lovely and there lots of chirringuitos en route to keep refreshed! Apartment perfect for a family. 2 bathrooms and a sunny balcony overlooks the all year pool and the sea. Well equipped for self-catering. There are comfy furnishings inside and out. Never had a problem with hot water (as others have mentioned). Well recommend 👍

This property is not for the lazy if u are not hiring a car, 15 minute walk up a steep hill but lovely view when u arrive on the balcony! Quiet location but easy access to numerous restaurants and bars, De vinci near Calahonda (take a right on boardwalk at beach) and The Garden Bar (take a left on boardwalk) were by far the best although Mao Chinese at Max Beach is a must for quality food and amazing setting ! Bus service is first class and runs constantly along the coast, definitely recommend a trip to Marbella and Mijas Pueblo

Wir waren als Familie mit 2 Kindern (9 und 11) dort und hatten einen schönen Urlaub. Die Wohnung wird als luxeriös und die Zimmer als groß beschrieben. Die Zimmer haben eine annehmbare Größe für eine Ferienwohnung aber groß sind sie wirklich nicht. Sie wirken auf den Bildern auf jeden Fall größer, als sie sind. Auf den Fotos wirkt die Einrichtung der Wohnung insgesamt noch sehr neu, das ist inzwischen leider nicht mehr so und müsste dringend aktualisiert werden. Die Küche ist inwischen sehr gebraucht (auch der Grill!). Das wäre okay, wenn es sauber gewesen wäre. Leider war es wirklich schmutzig (Dreck und Staub in der Wohnung, überall Haare, festgekrustete Fettflecken in der Küche, Schmutz auf den Arbeitsflächen, schmuztiges Geschirr im Schrank, vollgestellte und schmutzige Einbauschränke in den Zimmern...). Wir haben uns bei der Verwalterin Lesley beschwert und haben am nächsten Tag eine Extrareinigung angeboten bekommen. Das war nett, wir haben bis dahin allerdings schon selbst soweit sauber gemacht, das es für uns okay war. Die Sauberkeit war wirklich enttäuschend. Die Anlage ist sehr schön und sehr gepflegt. Es scheinen alles Eigentumswohnungen zu sein, die zum Teil an Feriengäste vermietet werden. Die älteren spanischen Nachbarn (Besitzer) hatten den Fernseher leider jeden Abend so laut, dass man jedes Wort verstehen konnte. Die Pools sind toll und werden täglich sauber gemacht. Der große Pool ist in 2min Fußweg durch die Anlage zu erreichen und wird von einem Bademeister beaufsichtigt. Der kleine Pool befindet sich direkt unterhalb des Balkons. Das war leider ein Problem. Der große Pool wird um 20 Uhr abgeschlossen. Der kleine Pool soll ab 23 Uhr(!) nicht mehr benutzt werden, was aber nicht kontrolliert wird. Dort sind spät abends alle Personen aus der Anlage, die noch schwimmen oder toben wollten. Teilweise kamen Jugendlich erst um 23.30 Uhr dorthin um noch ins Wasser zu springen und Musik mit dem Handy zu hören. Es war nicht einmal innerhalb von 10 Tagen möglich, abends in Ruhe auf dem Balkon zu sitzen. Furchtbar! Da es keine Rezeption wie in einem Hotel gibt kann man die Personen nur selbst ansprechen. Das haben wir einmal freundlich gemacht. Danach haben die Jugendlichen absichtlich laut geplanscht und zu uns nach oben gerufen. Fazit: Wir hatten einen tollen Urlaub. Die Anlage ist schön, die Pools sind toll aber es war sehr laut, das hat uns sehr gestört. Die Ferienwohnung ist okay (wenn sie sauber ist) aber luxeriös ist es nicht.

We spent a wonderful week here in August. The apartment had everything we needed and we couldn’t fault anything. The pools were great and not busy at all considering we were there in August. The apartment is in a lovely location about 10/15 mins walk to shops and restaurants. It is a little steep walking back up to the apartment but lots of taxis about. Would recommend the cable cars in Benelmadena and we had a lovely walk along the boardwalk one evening stopping for drinks every so often . This place is not for families with small children! For couples it might be fine, although this apartment did not live up to our expectations at all - and the price seems way to high!! (Especially compared to the apartment (***+) we rented instead on our SECOND day there!) We moved out already on day 2, because of all the disappointments – and we are NOT that sensitive people! There were stains on several towels. There was not enough sheets/quilts – only 2 singles and 1 double and we were 5 persons. There is no darkening possibility in the living room, so it is difficult to sleep there. There is only aircondition in the living room, which makes it difficult to cool the two bedrooms down! The internet sucks, even though you sit right beside the router! The doublebed was very bad to lay in – it felt like you were falling “through”/down in one of the sides. The sunbeds, which you have to transport up and down from the apartment to the pool area, was SO old and rusty, that it was not someone we wanted to use at all. The cushions for the furnitures on the balcony was also full of stains. Toiletseats in both bathrooms needs to be fixed. The pool area is also very stricted, as you cannot use pool toys (the life guard is very stricted about that). It is NOT true, that this apartment is within walking distance to several restaurants and the beach – even the cleaning lady (who was very polite and friendly btw.) told us when we arrived, that it was too long a distance for small children to walk down to the beach and back again – it is also way too steep there. There is only a small restaurant within 1 minute walk from the apartment and it doesn’t open until 4 pm. Otherwise you HAVE to go around by car. Even the garbage you have to take with you in the car. Even though we complained (we sent her a friendly email!) to the owner of the apartment after we moved out and kindly asked for a refund (at least to get some of the money back!), we only got the same kind of non-accommodating answer, as she wrote to others before “My husband told me not to answer this…. etc., etc.” The owner doesn’t meet the costumer as she should – by being polite and friendly. She immediately goes into a defence and can’t take critic at all. Not a great experience with her!! The only right thing for her to do, was to give a refund on at least some of the money we paid (At least the 90€ we paid for an extra night when we arrived on our first day!!). But she refused.

Very comfortable apartment overlooking the pool, ideal location for exploring the Costa Del Sol and Gibraltar etc. We're a family of four, two boys ages 13 and 10, loved the pool, which 8 times out of 10 we had to ourselves (in August), wifi was very reliable, don't think we ever struggled with connection. Loved our holiday and would recommend staying here.

the information is misleading - it's a long walk to the beach in very hilly area, so steep walk down and then back up with lots of steps. likewise to nearest supermarket and bars / restaurants - if this information was clearer I wouldn't have booked. the apartment itself is basic, small double bed in one room and 2 singles in another, so when there is more than 4 of you its a pull out in the living room. the hot water WILL run out and takes overnight to fully reheat. the towels that are supplied are smelly and rough - I'm not being fussy here - they stank!! make room in your case and bring your own. the apartment has air con unit in living room only - bed rooms have a ceiling fan so gets very warm in hot weather. the sky TV was a nightmare! constantly jumping and 'glitching' and so trying to watch a movie was awful so we just gave up! luckily we brought pack of cards from home so entertained ourselves and didn't bother. we passed this information on but heard nothing back... the balcony is nice - be careful when running the aircon unit inside the apartment as this results in big pools of water out on the balcony that soaks anything you've hung out to dry!! the gas BBQ was great - we wanted to be able to cook for ourselves - which we did many times - once we cleaned it first!! the lady, Theresa, who met us and showed us around apologised that she hadn't cleaned it before our arrival - she forgot - so we did it and then left it much cleaner when we left! a nice enough apartment - simple and basic - but for what we paid?? oh dear....

The apartment exceeded all expectations, it was a lot bigger than we thought, absolutely spotless and a great location. It's a 5/10 minute walk downhill to the bars and shops. The hill everybody is talking about is not steep, it's just long as it's the 5/10 minutes walking back up to the apartment, however a taxi is less than 5 euros from near the bars/shops to the apartment when split between your company is nothing. Anyway back to the apartment, it is quiet, the 2 pools are immaculate, (one adults one kids), and the view from the apartment is amazing, you can see the ocean from your balcony. The showers are perfect, bbq is top notch and to top it all of the sky tv with sports and movies was a nice touch. Will stay again next time I'm in malaga.

The apartment exceeded all expectations, it was a lot bigger than we thought, absolutely spotless and a great location. It's a 5/10 minute walk downhill to the bars and shops. Bliss in the sun

We arrived after a winter of snow and ice to a wonderful sunny balcony ideal for our breakfast each morning with views of the pool and lovely gardens and also the sea .We swam in the pool below which was cold but welcome ( had a spanish audience watching the mad gringos) swimming in the pool in march. We had 2 lovely bbq evenings on the balcony and also discovered an English supermarket and a number of restaurants about 750 yards past the thatch houses and turn right at roundabout one of them the terrace did lovely pizza and pasta .We had good times at the tennis mix ins and enjoyed our evening walk on the boardwalk we would love to return in 2019

We had an amazing few days here i relaxed with a book on the sunny balcony which had the sun until late afternoon i even got sun burnt after falling asleep on the balcony in november! balcony thermometer showed 29 degrees c every day we were there. Beach was a short walk as were the restaurants all downhill maybe 12 minutes the beach (we stroll rather than walk) the new beach restaurant at max beach is amazing and both La plaza restaurant and the next door rocca grill both very good not cheap but worth it will certainly return we watched season 4 ray donovan on the box sets and my boyfriend said system had more sports channels than he knew existed! couldnt work induction hob quickly solved by quick call to olive was childlock on the cooker (blonde moment) and another plus i only found out the day we left the supermarkets deliver!

Everything at the complex and apartment was just as Olive had explained to us and our info email was very helpful .Met Lesley on arrival showed us around and explained everything apartment was very clean with perfect wifi and sky tv which my son and husband loved.Spent most days reading and sunbathing on the balcony as my husband and son swam just below me although my son preferred the larger pool as there was more life and children his own age there.The area was very relaxing easy walk down to a small shopping centre and restaurants where we discovered one that was not on the info pack but certainly worth a visit it is called La Plaza an Italian just beside the shopping centre we also ate 2 or 3 of the beach bar/restaurants and our son Erik had his first swim in the Mediteranean sea we would love to return in 2017!!

The apartment is as explained, wifi, sky tv, spacious, clean, comfy beds, open plan, balcony with sun (will get to that). Please be aware there is no pool seating and you will need to take your own down to the pool, either on the elevator or down the 4 flights of steps! Contact with the owners was fine, met Lesley on our arrival and explained the security features. Like bars on all windows and locked metal gate on balcony. This was a bit of a shock to us and on having a look at surrounding properties seems to be the normal. Please be aware the property is up a hill! a very long and tiring hill and that was us just going down!! Although described by the owners as “car not needed” I would recommend a car. The adult only pool was full of children, you can catch the sun on the balcony from about 10. 00am-2.00pm but!! only if you can squeeze as close to the balcony edge as the sun goes no more than 2 feet onto the balcony. I return to the security features, which I am afraid to say caused a great deal of distress. On the Thursday 2nd June before leaving the apartment was broken into and a host of valuables and purchases were stolen, suffice to say this review is difficult to write. This is me and my wife’s review, but on the 2nd day at the resort my wife was asked by my daughter on facebook about the apartment and her response was- Disaapointing, remote,too many stairs, hilly, bars on windows, padlocked grill on balcony, no sun on balcony otherwise its ok!

Stayed here for the best part of 3 weeks in Nov 2015. What impressed me most was the owners offer of Wiifi and Sky TV along with central location. Both Wiifi and Sky were excellent which is not always the case in that part of the world. Communication with the owners was a major plus and everything necessary for a comfortable stay was in working order. A gradual climb from Riviera Center and a brisk 20 minute walk into La Cala added to the pleasure of the stay. Colm even threw in 3 weeks of sunshine as a bonus! Hope to be back!

Great Relaxing Break

Lovely clean apartment with stunning views. Helpful, friendly communication with owners and their assistants ensured a lovely holiday. Being out of high season the area was pretty quiet nearby but within 0.5 mile there are several good restaurants apart from Rocca Grill which is virtually on the doorstep. They all tend to be closed for one night a week but not the same one so plenty of choice of different cuisines from around the world! Comfortable furniture and all you need to make yourselves comfortable with UK TV channels on the large screen TV. The area is a bit hilly for the less mobile but taxis are plentiful and cheap. We had a hire car and found plenty of nearby, convenient parking which helped us to explore the area. There are good, frequent bus services towards Fuengirola and Marbella along the Main Coastal road. The main road is usually quite busy but there are some stunning scenic routes up to the mountains that were virtually deserted. Being free to do what we liked, when we liked made for a great break.

Relaxing and friendly break.

Stayed in this lovely apartment with my daughter. It had everything and more for our stay and the pool areas and gardens were gorgeous and very quiet. We spent our time walking to the beach or the bars and restaurants,The lovely Rocca Grill being too convenient just steps away! We caught a very cheap and easy bus into Fuengirola or Marbella in the other direction in the evenings for shopping and dinner. Would love to return soon!
