About this villa rental
With it's own, private swimming pool, which can be heated at your request (subject to an additional surcharge), in manicured grounds offering total seclusion and privacy, this magnificent villa has been re-furbished to a high standard and lends itself to provide a first class choice of holiday accommodation. The property has ample accommodation, along with added extras, such as 46' LCD TV with SKY & DVD player, games room with pool table and table football, jacuzzi baths, inviting sun terraces with gorgeous views out to sea, BBQ, fitted kitchen with dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, oven & hob, laundry room with two washing machines & a tumble dryer and maid service. The master bedroom on the top level has it's own, large private terrace which enjoys breathtaking views; the sea in one direction and the mountains in the other! We have installed an alarm system to ensure a high level security. Air conditioning is included in the price. Wi-Fi is available for a small additional fee. Provided for our guests are towels (bath and poolside), bedding, iron and ironing board, hairdryer and the kitchen is fully equipped. The property management company who look after Casa Joy for us is based in the town. The villa gives seclusion and privacy to its guests; opposite is an expanse shrub land and the garden is not overlooked. It is situated within easy walking distance of the town, which has various shops and a tempting array of superb restaurants and bars, and of course a sandy, picturesque beach. The well stocked mini supermarket is just round the corner (5 minutes walking distance) and the large supermarket (Intermarche) is a 5 minute drive away.

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Joy. The house was perfect for us: a family with 3 childeren all with +1 and grandparents. Because of the 3 levels in the house, everbody had enough priacy- and living space.

Overall communications with the owner were first rate and check in procedure was very smooth. The villa is beautifully appointed and extremely clean, luxurious and comfortable with a great location, which is easily walkable into town. The outside area was a particular highlight for family gatherings, with plenty of seating and large tables.
The pool was a good size. We all had a great holiday.

We enjoyed our stay. The house is fully equiped and the owner is helping out where he cans for questions. It is possible to find a quiet place because of all the terraces and rooms available.
It is the perfect house if you are with 2 family’s as well.
You can walk to the village and beach. Lots of activities are available.

We stayed at Casa Joy for two weeks in July. There were twelve of us in total (a variety of ages) and it suited everyone. So well equipped and enough space to be able to have your own space!
The games room area was a hit with our children and the pool was a good size. Plenty of sun beds. The large balcony with seating area was perfect for family BBQ/meals.
The owner, Ray, responded quickly to all my emails and gave us lots of info and advice about the area. The whole process was very straight forward. I would highly recommend this house for large groups and will definitely be going back in the future.

Fantastic break
Fantastic week spent at this beautiful villa, it is spacious enough to accommodate two large families with plenty of space and privacy. Large pool with lots of comfy sun beds available, several different seating/eating areas to relax in, great games room with a snooker table and football table. Walking distance of Carvoeiro centre with its many restaurants and bars and a beautiful beach.

A great place to spend time with friends and family. As soon as you arrive at the villa you feel welcome and relaxed as it is just as described and more. The owners make a great effort to make your stay as perfect as possible. They love the area and give you addtional information with their personal recommendations which are updated regularly.

Huge villa with far-reaching views of the sea
Really big villa with plenty of space for a number of guests. Air-conditioning which is always a bonus in the summer. Lovely pool and gardens with plenty of terraced areas to sit in. Relaxing pergola area at far end of garden. Gated with space for 3 cars. Steep but easy enough walk from Carvoeiro centre with its beach and all its bars and restaurants. Well stocked kitchen. Smartly refurbished bathrooms. Very relaxing stay in a very welcoming villa.

An amazing property to celebrate a life stone landmark
The property is amazing from top to bottom, from inside to outside set in fantastic grounds and a brilliant location being a short walk to town. We had a fantastic family holiday with three generations helping to celebrate my 50th. The layout of the villa was perfectly suited to our needs and split over 3 levels with all having access to outside space. The villa is very well maintained and furnished to top standard.

Fabulous villa
The villa is fabulous. The accommodation is over three floors easily providing our three families with privacy when wanted with the lounges/terraces offering plenty of room to enjoy family get togethers.The pool and gardens are lovely. The location is ideal being walking distance to Carvoeiro centre [downhill going, uphill back] and a local supermarket. An unbeatable location for the large extended family seeking a villa holiday in a lovely resort. Also the owners Karen and Ray are a delight to deal with making the entire holiday experience a joy.

Fantastic Villa and location in a beautiful area
We had the most wonderful stay at this beautiful Villa - everything was exactly as described and exceeded our expectations. The Villa itself was huge with big airy rooms, and fabulous facilities. The Villa was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The Boys in our group loved the games room and everyone loved the Pool and the large seating areas. The Villa is based within easy walking distance of the town and the town beach.
We had excellent assistance from the owners Ray and Karen, and from the lettings company who arranged all our transport.
We loved the town as well - so many fabulous places to eat! We were spoilt for choice. We particularly liked Onze, by the beach, The Wolf Bar, Tia Ilda (which has amazing views) and Medici. Also don't leave with a trip to the Tivoli Hotel and their amazing rooftop Bar,.
I would recommend this Villa and location to anyone - we loved it and hope to return

Fantastic 5 Star villa
It's very daunting finding a villa for the whole family, eight adults, six children and a baby but as soon as we walked through the doors of Casa Joy we knew we had hit the jackpot! Fantastic villa, great location, beautiful pool and garden. The children were in the the pool all day ( the big kids as well). I have no hesitation in recommending this villa. Carverio is a lovely buzzing town with plenty of restaurants. Go on book Casa Joy you will not regret it!

70th Birthday Celebration
My family and I celebrated my 70th birthday at Casa Joy from 1-9 April. We were a party of seven adults and six children ranging from age 7 to 6 months.
The villa is conveniently located in a quiet residential area within 10 minutes walk from Carvoeiro town centre. It is exactly as described in the brochure featuring lots of space both internally and externally.set in lovely well attended gardens.
At the suggestion of Karen, the owner, we had the pool heated which was an excellent piece of advice. The kids played in the pool early every morning and again in the early evening when we returned from the numerous gorgeous beaches in the area.. Although we enjoyed lovely sunny days around 25-26 deg C the pool enjoyment certainly benefitted from being heated.
Each of the spacious bedrooms had modern en suites and the villa was exceptionally clean and well kitted out with more than adequate furnishings and facilities.
A 5 minute walk to the little supermarket in the morning provided fresh bread and croissant and of course the essential pastel natas! The larger supermarket was about 5-10 minute drive and it was stocked with fresh meat and fish and everything you needed.
We had a BBQ every evening because of the gorgeous weather and it suited the kids better. Thus we ate outside on the terrace, drank lots of good wine and watched the sunset.
My family have rented villas most years for the past 40 years and we all agreed that Casa Joy is up there with the very best. Carvoeiro is a small seaside town with lots of bars and restaurants to suit all tastes. We were fortunate to holiday in a quiet time but there was still a good friendly atmosphere. It is certainly a good base to explore the many beautiful beaches of the Algarve.
A special mention must be given to the owners, Karen and Ray, who were extremely helpful at the pre-booking time and provided excellent assistance throughout our stay.
Anyone renting Casa Joy will undoubtedly have a wonderful holiday experience. We can certainly highly recommend the property. Definitely 5*****

We had 3.5 families stay and all enjoyed the holiday just wish we could have stayed longer. The owners are very helpful and will answer any queries they've also compiled a very good guide book in the villa.Carvoeiro is a lovely town ideal for a family holiday although it is hilly getting back up to the villa from the town which is probably the only slightly negative thing I could say. Perfect Villa for our family of 15!
We stayed in this Villa with our extended family of 15 (ages 2-60) including children aged 2, 5, 6, 11, 13, 14 and 16. We had an amazing time - there is so much space to sit and chill out - inside and outside. The pool area and gardens are lovely and really well presented - and we used the barbecue three times. Everything is provided for you including kitchen equipment, towels etc and information e.g. about where to eat which was really helpful.
The owners were really easy to contact all all times during booking and before we arrived which was reassuring. The Villa is in the perfect location to be able to access the town and shops easily without needing a car - and without being so close to the town that it is noisy. The only things that were remotely negative were that the bedrooms seemed very dark (but we find the same with any villas because of how they have shutters on the windows and low lighting), and one of the bedrooms did not have air-con which proved to be very hot for the two girls sharing it (fans were provided but we had very high temperatures during our stay). Overall, the Villa was fantastic, and we hope to go back again next year!!! We would definitely say 4 and a half stars.

Fabulous Spacious Villa
We had a wonderful week at Casa Joy . 3 generations 80yrs. to 15 months and everybody had a great time.
Outside space and facilities were excellent. As the weather was wonderful we hardly used the inside rooms at all (apart from bedtime).
Owners Karen and Ray were great to deal with and provided lots of useful local information.

Casa Joy was a great place to stay with a large group of friends and family. The villa is very spacious, well maintained and clean, so plenty of room for everyone. It is within easy walking distance of Carvoeiro centre and the beach with handy local shops. The villa has a lovely pool and garden and a great games room with pool table etc., which was popular. We could not fault the place.

Perfect
We initially enquired to have a weeks' stay which included our wedding reception at Casa Joy. Within 48 hours, we received contact from Karen and Ray who provided us with all the information we required to make our decision.
From start to finish, Karen and Ray made the entire experience a pleasure and they were genuinely excited by the fact that Casa Joy would be hosting our wedding reception. Every question was answered and more.
The villa itself is stunning, with ample room for the 10 of us that stayed for the week. The pictures simply do not do it justice.
The villa manager Peter (based nearby), Lena (the cleaner) and Alex (the pool guy) are all very efficient and very polite. Nothing is a problem.
The pool is gorgeous. We paid for the pool heating and found this was a great decision based on our evening/night time swims :)
The villa has everything, including wifi. It's also a short 10 minute walk into town so no need to drive to restaurants etc.
We loved our stay at Casa Joy and would like to thank Karen and Ray for the wonderful memories.

Absolutely stunning
We have stayed in Casa Joy twice and most recently for two weeks with all our family. It is the perfect large family villa and really well positioned to walk to the centre of Carvoiero. The pool area is spacious, well maintained and clean with a large pool. No shortage of space, and amenities. We hope to go back again soon.

Fantastic, Clean and Spacious
Casa Joy is the perfect Villa for us. We have stayed there twice now and can't wait to book again.
The first time was on a family holiday. The children loved the pool (a lot bigger than we expected), we loved the space (3 floors and loads of private and shared space). It had everything we needed there and now I see it also has Wi-Fi which just makes it even better.
The 2nd time was to celebrate my Birthday with friends and it proved the perfect base for our various trips to golf courses, as well as a great place to just relax and enjoy the pool.
In terms of location, it's less than a 10 minute walk into Carvoeiro, which has everything from restaurants, shops and the beach. We hired a car and found it very easy to get to various other places for trips out.
I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Casa Joy to anyone who wants a holiday in Portugal - be that a family who wants to stay at the Villa all the time, or family and friends who just need a great base to explore and come back to a relaxing environment.

The villa proved ideal for our needs. Plenty of space and room for the little one to play safely at the lounge and balcony level away from the pool.
Even the little one managed towalk all the way from town up the hill to the villa.

Great holiday in great villa
We stayed here July 2013. The villa was exactly as described. Extremely suitable for this special holiday to celebrate dads 80th birthday with 3 generations having enough room to all have fun. Dad really enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching the grand kids have so much fun in the pool. The kitchen was very well supplied to enable easy catering for 12. All the rooms were pleasantly furnished and the bathrooms were very well appointed. Would be happy to recommend this villa.

A wonderful villa
From the first contact with Karen she could not have been more friendly and helpful,promptly returning answers to my numerous emails!!
The villa more than lived up to its description,we were a party of 9 friends,couples and singles and we were all amazed by it
Everything was just as described and the location was perfect,no need for a car
We wandered down to the numerous restaurants most evenings and also had a couple of bbq's in the villa
The resort itself is lovely

Fab villa, fab holiday, great central location
We loved casa joy and carvoeiro. The villa was everything we hoped for, and within a 10 minute walk from the town centre where there are lots of shops, restaurants and live music on the beach most nights. The villa was clean, mostly well maintained - the kitchen was a little tired if I'm honest but the bathrooms were lovely. We had a couple of minor issues with the dishwasher and the pool but they were sorted out immediately. The owners of the villa were very helpful in the run up to our holiday, and the manager in the town while we were there. I would definitely recommend this villa, I hope to go back some day.
