Villa Melek is genuinely the best villa we have ever stayed in.We were amazed by the cleanliness of the villa along with the availability of anything and everything anybody could ever need in the villa. It truly felt like a home from home experience . The location of the villa was a mere 10 minute walk to town, yet the tranquility and privacy of the villa were first class and meant that we could all enjoy the pool and the surrounding gardens peacefully. We genuinely have nothing but fantastic things to say about our 10 day stay at villa Melek, from the airport transfers to booking online with Jane who was always on hand to answer any of our questions. This is definitely an experience that we will not forget and will certainly be back again next year.

We have just returned from what can only be described as a dream holiday. Dalyan is a hidden gem and Villa Melek was the icing on the cake. The villa is set in beautifully kept grounds with plenty of sunshine throughout the day but lots of opportunity for shade if required. The villa is spacious and clean with everything you could possibly ever need for a two week holiday. The owners really have thought of everything. Transfers were arranged for us and the property management company checked in with us regularly to ensure that we had everything we required. We had regular communication with the owners too, who gave us lots of advice on things to do and recommendations for restaurants etc., We took their advice on several occasions and all of the trips and restaurants exceeded our expectations. I would really rather not recommend Villa Melek as I fear that it may make it more difficult for me to find availability in the future. However, this Villa and Dalyan are exceptional and I will definitely be returning. Many thanks Jane for all your help and for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful home. We hope to visit again soon.

We enjoyed the stroll into town on an evening for dinner and made good use of the bikes provided in exploring the area. One of the red way marked cycle routes is located near the villa and we also cycled down the Turtle Beach road to sample a number of places offering Turkish Village Breakfasts. The villa has lots of outdoor spaces - around the pool, balconies, the terrace and the kosk - all great for seeking either sun or shade. The WiFi signal was good, especially downstairs and reached beyond the kosk - ideal for following the cricket and tennis! The property manager checked in from time to time but was never intrusive. The water cooler was superb and was only 10YTL for a full tank. The welcome pack on day one was an added bonus and the ice cold beers included went down a treat.

This was a first visit to this beautiful villa and it will not be the last, this is one of the best villas we have stayed in, it was very private, exceptionally clean and the garden and pool maintenance perfect, also the manager was very helpful but not intrusive. Great communication with the owners who were very informative Very comfortable beds and great showers, the kitchen was equipped with everything that was required to make our stay home from home! The Wi-fi was excellent, even receiving down the end of the Pool/garden which was great for getting the radio! The pool was perfect with plenty of sun beds to chase the sun round, there is also plenty of shady areas with very comfortable rattan chairs to enjoy a sundowner We cannot recommend this villa highly enough if you like privacy and peacefulness within easy reach of all the nightlife this is the one for you, 5 star rating, in fact we have booked again already!!

It has all the facilities you could want including a beautiful swimming pool with lovely mountain views, your own Kosk in the garden which is lovely for an afternoon siesta in the shade, extremely comfortable king size beds in all bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, including microwave and toaster and an all important Tea Pot, a rare commodity for Turkish accommodation but for us tea loving Brits, essential! The garden is very private and although there is a small boutique "hotel" next door we were not disturbed at all during our stay. The villa Manager Huysein was always available although the only time we needed him was to replenish the 15L bottle of drinking water for the cooler in the kitchen and at 6 Lira (approx 1.50p) for supply and delivery its another great facility and service. Dalyan itself is a truly unique place with access to an amazing Beach reached by public boat through gorgeous scenery and the small town with its many restaurants, few essential Supermarkets and typical tourist shops adds to its appeal. Also the lack of large package holiday hotels where sunbed wars commence at dawn definitely adds to its relaxed laid back feeling .........Turkey at its wonderful best, Can't wait to come back next year.

We stayed in this Villa for 3 wonderful weeks, it is home from home. This is our 4th visit to Melek and we absolutely love it. It has everything you can possibly need, very modern and spotlessly clean. It is in a really quiet area, with mountain views around. There are bikes provided with a 5 minute cycle ride into the heart of the town. It has an excellent pool and lovely outside seating areas to enjoy. The owners are extremely helpful. Already booked for 2018 and honestly could not think of anywhere nicer to stay.

We are regular visitors to Villa Melek. We have been so often in the summer that we fool ourselves into believing it is our own. Sadly it is not but Karl and Jane's welcome and ability to share experiences, help and advice makes it feel exactly as if it is. We love where the villa is - on the edge of Dalyan so lots of peace and quiet. We love the simplicity of its modern furnishings and its cleanliness. We love the pool, the shade and the gardens. The three bathrooms are immaculate, the bedrooms are comfy and light and spacious. We stay for up to three weeks and pay for extra cleans throughout which is worth it and very reasonable - after all we are on holiday right? Huseyin the villa manager is superb and helpful. He can help you hire boats and recommend where to go and what to see and do. The pool is cleaned daily and the garden well tendered. The visitor book is overflowing with compliments and everyone loves the simplicity of the place. Dalyan is a fantastic place. It has all you need for a lovely holiday. We have become quite daring over the years and now drive out and explore the region as well as doing the old favourites of beach and lake. The cold water river in the mountains is a real favourite. We would recommend this property to friends but are often too busy using it ourselves for them to try it out (teachers so we are all off at the same time!). You can be as busy or as tranquil as you like in Dalyan - there really is something for everyone: markets, excursions, bars and excellent restaurants. Local people are kind and friendly and add to the family atmosphere. No doubt we will be making use of 'our' holiday home for many years to come!

First visit to Dalyan but been travelling to Turkey for 18 years. We couldn't have chosen a more perfect villa in an amazing location. Wonderful Mountain views and just far enough from main town to make a lovely quiet location. Everything you could want on hand too, bikes to ride as its lovely and flat so really useful, wonderful pool, very well equipped kitchen and large rooms with good Air conditioning. Itzitzu beach is amazing and the boat ride through this unique river delta makes the day at the beach even more enjoyable. Saw many of the areas famous Loggerhead Turtles, which is a wonderful site as they rise up from the deeper waters... Beach has a shallow rake so also great for children. The local people and house manager were wonderful, friendly and always helpful. I Can't thank Jane and Karl enough for renting their lovely home to us. Definitely will be back!

Wonderful holiday. Very relaxing, the views the position of the Villa surrounded by orchards backed by the mountains was spectacular. One of the nicest Villas we have stayed in with such a beautiful pool. Many trips to go on if you wanted too we just totally chilled out. The transfers were spot on and the manager was on hand if we needed him. I cannot think of one negative thing to say and hope to come back again. This was our second stay in Villa Melek and we loved it as much as we did on our first stay. Gorgeous villa, immaculately clean and very well equipped. Fabulous pool area where we spent several days enjoying the sunshine. Quiet area of Dalyan which hopefully we will return to again soon.

Having been on several villa holidays in various countries villa Melek is undoubtedly the best villa we have stayed at.The villa was clean and comfortable and contained everything we required for a great stay.The gardens and pool were well maintained and ideal for relaxing in.Having been to Dalyan the previous year we looked forward to this year's visit and if anything we enjoyed it even more than last year.A great place with warm ,friendly people.We look forward to returning in the near future.

Villa Melek is a beautiful, peaceful property and the photos really don't do it justice. We had a great family holiday which was our first in Dalyan. Dalyan itself, has some high quality restaurants and fantastic scenery with plenty do. It feels like a well kept secret when you are there! Thanks again Jane for your help/advice beforehand and for organising the airport transfers.

Everything about the villa is perfect. The location, the facilities, the scenery in every direction, the pool, the transfers so kindly arranged for us by Jane, the visits from Huseyin to ensure all was well- we could go on.......and Dalyan has now come top of our list of places to be, it is lovely in every way,the views across the river with the emerald water and mountain backdrop-wow! The locals are the friendliest we have come across and made us feel so welcome wherever we went to eat or drink or shop. The boat to the beach is so relaxing. We did the jeep safari with the "best reviewed" company in town, what a fantastic laugh a minute day out (get very wet but needed to in the heat!). We split visits to town by foot and taxi which is only 13/15 lira. It was always lovely to get back to the villa for a cooling dip in the pool, and then much time was spent in the lovely kosk in the evenings in the peace and quiet with a tipple of choice-bliss! We cannot recommend Villa Melek highly enough, we miss it alot. Thank you Karl and Jane for the ease of process re booking but most of all for the stay in your villa-and we would most definately put you top of the list of places to stay in Dalyan. Well our yearly reviews are going to be frighteningly similar I am afraid! Villa Melek is still the great place it has always been. You can feel that Jane and Karl love it - and Dalyan - as much as we do and attention to detail, mod cons, great pool, best location ever all add to our fantastic yearly holiday here that gives us so much pleasure and rest. Boat trips, drives out, Jeep safaris and beach trips all done again but astonishingly it is a different experience every year. This year we had different sets of friends staying in and around Dalyan - in villas, in guest houses and in hotels - but all agreed that Villa Melek was the best for location, quality and sheer bloody loveliness! Huseyin was yet again attentive, helpful and full of local expertise to get us old timers and newcomers settled and orientated. We love it here and of course will be back...

My family and I had a wonderful time during our stay at Villa Melek. The villa has everything one needs for a great and relaxing stay. The pool is spotless and maintained daily as is the garden. We would not hesitate to go back and is highly recommended. Dalyan is a beautiful town and we already miss it. Thank you so much once again!

We landed late on Thursday evening - Jane had organised transfers for us (only took 20 minutes via car from the airport to the villa) so once collecting the luggage we had no worries. When we arrived it was dark outside, however when we awoke in the morning it was like waking up in luxury - truly breath-taking. For a couple it was like being in a mansion with three very big double rooms, one with en suite and the others fully equipped with double beds, wardrobes etc. Downstairs a large kitchen, dining area and lounge area along with a downstairs shower room. Two of the rooms upstairs had gorgeous balcony’s looking over the garden. The villa was fully equipped with everything you could need for a wonderful stay. As for Turkey itself the people were very friendly, with town only a short walk away where any food, restaurants or bars could be found (we walked into town every day). Sofra bar became one of our favourite places to drink, and Saki was top of our restaurant list. We used the guide provided in the villa to find some restaurants and tried 3 out of the 7 in the list – they were all great. We went on a boat trip to the famous turtle beach and the mud baths. This was also amazing. In summary I could not recommend this enough, the owners Karl and Jane could not be more helpful, the villa surpassed our expectations as did Turkey itself - we only landed at 3am this morning (29th May) and I have already enquired about going back next year!!!

We had the most amazing holiday at villa Melek. The villa was fabulous, clean bright open and airy. It was fantastic havering three bathrooms with all our family staying here. The garden is beautiful and we all loved the pool with views of the mountains everywhere you looked. The owners made sure we had all we needed for a brilliant holiday and Hasayn who manages the property looked after us arranging transfers to and from the airport. There are five bikes which we used everyday to get to the town, five mins ride and safe for us all including the children in our group. Dalyannis a lovely town with great shops, restaurants and boat trips. We fell in love with Dalyan more and more each day. Friendly people very clean and extremely safe for families. We can highly recommend Villa Melek and we will definitely be back again and a again.

Have just returned from a ten day break in Dalyan staying at Villa Melek. We had a wonderful stay everything was so easy. Jane kindly arranged our transfers and from the moment we stepped inside we knew we were in for a treat. The villa is equip with everything you need for the perfect stay. Having bikes on site makes exploring so easy. Dalyan is a unique place everyone is so friendly and you feel safe everywhere you go. Looking forward to returning next year.
