This quaint A frame is on a quiet street with a two minute walk to the ocean. We appreciated how clean everything was. I have a dust mite allergy so really appreciated the linoleum floors as most places at the coast have carpet, which is the worst. It even had seasoned cast iron pans!

Super convenient location for walking along the coast or walking into town to get supplies and fun. The house is cozy and inviting. When windows were closed, the window and heater dust and musty smell did activate allergies. Bring your own knives for sharp knives. Burner elements twisted and not level. Restful sleep with ocean waves. All in all it was a lovely stay and we hope to return some day!

Great overal. Only disappointing thing was the fireplace. I brought wood from home only to find out that I couldn’t use it. They only wanted presto logs. Needless to say I didn’t use it as much as I wanted to.

Overall good. A bit lacking on supplies and toiletries. Overall clean with the exception of under the beds. Looks like that has been missed for a bit. Would recommend and stay again. Property managers were very good.

Wonderful stay at the Kite in Yachats. Tucked into a quiet neighborhood with easy access both to the beach (literally a one-minute walk away) and the lovely little beach town of Yachats. Pictures are accurate, communication with the host was easy and the check-in process was blessedly perfunctory.
The beach was amazing and rather than leave it there I'll actually explain why. It offers a remarkable combination of long sandy stretches out in the open interspersed with small miniature coves filled with a menagerie of aquatic wildlife including mussels, starfish, crabs, and sea anemones. A veritable wonderland my five-year-old son loved to play in and explore.
The house was clean and well-supplied with all the various necessities. My wife and son loved our stay and so did I. Lastly, it was very reasonably priced, especially in this current market, and worth every penny. I would highly recommend staying here and would love to come again.

This house is right on the 804 trail and you can walk to a beach. Amazing ocean view with less than a block walk. It was a perfect house for our group, my kids loved it. Really close to Yachats City Center and other fun activities.

This uniquely built home is in a great location! Fits 4 comfortably (2 adults/2 kids). Everything was in good working condition & clean. Not much for views but a quick 2 - 5 min walk to the beach/trail was super convenient. Very quiet area. The "master bedroom" on first floor could be updated as the 2 upstairs rooms were great!

The kite was a great place near 804 trail.
All and all the whole stay was a great experience. Location was clean, quiet, and had plenty of room for a family of four. We loved how close it was to the ocean and being able to hear the waves at night. Would definitely recommend it to friends, as well as consider staying there again.

This home was clean and pleasant, it was big enough for 4 guests, but could accommodate 6 comfortably. It is down a quiet lane that ends 200 feet off the ocean. The kitchen and bathroom have everything you need, including a dishwasher and w/d for clothing. We can't wait to come back next year!

The rental agents were not very responsive to advance questions. Left messages but often got no call back. Written directions to property were not explicit enough-- glad we had Google maps. The property was still being cleaned when we arrived, we were not able to get in until 4:30 (4 was the checkin time, which is pretty late.

Location was perfect. Cute cabin has everything you'll need for a retreat in Yachats, however, An hour of cleaning with a vacuum would bring me back again. The ENTIRE WALL in the bedroom was COVERED with webs and dust. This was directly above my head while trying to sleep. The corners of the bedside tables were deep in webs and dust. I could not stay another night in that room and moved to an upstairs room. My husband talked with the property management office the next morning and they simply offered to clean it when we leave. EWWWWW. Also the heaters were caked in dust and soot. Along with the bathroom having someone else toothpaste splattered on the walls. Seriously, the homeowner needs to consider the cleaner they have hired and expect some cleaning.

The A-frame was great for us. We were able to do laundry and walk to the beach. The cable TV never could be accessed but we were able to watch some of the nice selection of movies. Good cooking facilities, dishes, linens, etc. All together very enjoyable.

We stayed at The Kite over the New Year weekend. The home was clean although it's a bit dated and shabby. One of the room heaters was not working but Peter, from Ocean Odyssey, promptly brought a space heater. The kitchen is fairly well-stocked although some of the shelves were very high and difficult to reach. We discovered shortly before leaving that firewood is not provided. Then when we got to The Kite, we found sign saying that we should only use Presto logs. We called around but couldn't find a local source for Presto logs. I would've liked this info to be clearly posted on the listing so that we could've brought the Presto logs along. The location of the house is excellent. It's a very short walk to the bluff overlooking the ocean. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

The Kite is always clean, good supply of pots and pans, plenty of towels, etc. A short walk down the street and you're on the ocean, a longer walk you're in center of the town of Yachats. Beds are comfortable, and the living room is great for just relaxing. Plenty of windows let the daylight in.

It was a very short distance coastal walk and we really. enjoyed that about the location of cabin. The neighborhood quiet except one night the guy next door made a lot of noise hacking and coughing. We really did have fun there though, very comfy with lots of amenities. Did not quite figure out how to get sat/cable tv, but enjoyed a movie with Netflix. We also have an aframe rental and it is quite different, inside The Kite it is just like a regular cabin.

Comfortable at the Kite
This A-frame cabin was clean, comfortable and very well furnished. The only issue we had was that the CD player wasn't hooked up to the TV, and there were no batteries in the remote which I finally discovered after trying to figure things out for 15 minutes with no success. Netflix worked though so we watched that instead. Operation instructions would have been nice. The two main bedroom mattresses were very comfortable, and the heating was good. We had a very nice stay even though the weather was really bad and winds were 70 mile winds that shook the cabin for about 6 hours. It was a pleasant and relaxing weekend playing games, eating and talking.

We had a wonderful trip and the home was in a great location!! It was clean, but I wouldn’t say sparkling clean. For the price it was great! The furniture is a little out dated, but the two beds were very comfy. The futons in the 3rd bedroom were not so comfy so an actual bed in there would be perfect, but all and all can’t complain. We decided to make this an annual trip and would definitely stay here again. However, the neighbors on the east side near where you park made sexual comments to me as I was packing the car on the last day. I am a single mom with two kids and what he was saying was not okay and made me very uncomfortable!!! Up until that point the kids and I wanted to book this house again, however will probably not book this particular property. This is the longest review I have ever left, but felt like I needed to say something. If you are a single female, I wanted to give you a heads up. Other than that, it was the best trip and a nice place to stay. :)

stayed 2 nights, great location steps from 804 trail and big beach. very comfortable cabin-we were 2 couples. kitchen stocked and beds comfy. appreciated that basic staples and paper products and cleaning supplies provided. Great TVo-was able to pull up soccer games via google chrome long in. I would rent again. Lacked a bbq which would have been nice. Clean and small town a plus in this time of covid.
