About this villa rental
Casa Alexandra is a very private three-bedroom house with spacious pergolas and terraced gardens surrounding a large pool located amongst mature almond, carob, olive and orange groves. Overlooking traditional countryside of low hills, orchards and nearby a selection of beautiful beaches.
A private, quiet and welcoming environment, perfect for couples or families. The garden around the house and the pathways are fully lit.
Casa Alexandra has a welcoming and generous living space with comfortable settees beside the open fireplace. There is a smart television, with possibility to view streaming platforms. A large dining table with seating for six, sits between the two French windows that lead out onto the covered patios and large pool terrace. There is a dining table and six chairs for exterior dining. Leading off the lounge area is a new fully fitted kitchen, which has access to the garden at the front of the house and steps down to the parking courtyard.
Two twin bedrooms, a large family bathroom and one master en- suite bedroom with King size bed are reached from the hallway and have access through French windows to their own terraces. All bedrooms have fitted wardrobes. Apart from one small step in the lounge , the villa is all on one level. Casa Alexandra keeps very cool in the summer, with ceramic floor tiles throughout. Casa Alexandra also has unlimited wireless internet access.
Quality sun loungers deck the terrace around the pool and there are sun umbrellas, tables and chairs available.
A baby cot, linen and high chair are also available.
The beautiful swimming pool measures 10 m x 6 m with steps leading into a shallow end of 1.2 m and a deep end of 2 m. Freshwater pool with Chlorine cleaning system. The pool is serviced twice weekly during summer and once weekly during the rest of the year by a competent and reliable professional. Pool and garden lighting is available.
Casa Alexandra is totally private and not overlooked (or overheard!) in any way. Follow the cobbled pathway in the garden up to a private pergola with stunning sunset views!
The nearest houses are approximately 400 metres away down the track, Casa Alexandra is the penultimate property about 1km down a quiet country lane that has no throughway, accessed from a small B road that leads straight into Moncarapacho.
There is a blissful sense of total tranquility and quiet in and around this accommodation.
The mini supermarket, cafes and restaurants of Moncarapacho can be reached in 5 minutes by car, walked in approximately 35 minutes.
The closest selection of beaches being Fuzeta Island, Barril beach and the islands off Olhão, namely Culatra and Armona.
There are excellent golf courses within 15 to 20 minutes drive from the accommodation, namely Benamor, Quinta da Ria and Quinta da Cima, Monte Rei.
A car is recommended for this property, especially in the heat of summer…and for reaching all the beautiful and interesting places further afield. Car rental, taxi transfers and bicycle hire can be organized with local reputable firms in advance or by calling the local representative.
Arrivals are flexible, though we aim to keep bookings as close as possible. Departure is by 10am and arrival is from 2pm unless otherwise arranged.
We provide a once weekly linen and bathroom towel change including a clean of the bathrooms. During longer winter lets cleaning and linen changes are agreed on an individual basis.
There will be some toilet paper and soap for arrivals and a hamper of beverages, with additional breakfast and snacks are provided for late arrivals.
Guests will be met at the villa, or otherwise informed where to locate the key and visited soon after arrival. We ensure a prompt and competent service from a team of property managers, who can be contacted at anytime.

All very good and lovely, but the house need ar conditioning.

We had a relaxing and peaceful family holiday at this wonderful villa. It is well equipped in the kitchen and has plenty of space both internally and externally. The pool is fantastic and the landscaped setting around he villa is beautifully authentic with carob, olive and orange trees. It was a hot week temperature wise, high 30s. The villa could benefit from a/c at night but this is not a complaint. We thoroughly recommend it.

It was amazing. It’s such a special place and we had a great time. Especially the garden and the pool area are breathtaking.

The rural Villa location is beautiful & is situated amongst fruit farms. The Villa requires work to smarten it up.
Replacing bathroom sealant, throwing out broken/ rusty sun beds, parasols & BBQ equipment.
Swimming pool was only cleaned once during our 12 day stay & bed linen changed 4 days before our departure. This didn’t comply with the rental terms.

Just returned from a 10 day family holiday at the villa. Our overwhelming view is we all loved the place. The villa is equipped with everything you possibly need for a family holiday, from the obvious things (utensils etc), to beach umbrellas , cool box , Tupperware box’s etc.
It’s a great location if you are looking for a peaceful and private location. There is a 900m rough track leading to the villa, but not an issue if taken slowly. Hire car is essential.
15-20 min drive and you are at a beach or Tavira/olhao for a meal. Angie was always on hand for help or advice on places to visit.

We had a wonderful stay in this property - the photos don't do it justice.
As other reviews have said, it's decoratively a little tired (only really the bathroom) but this was reflected in the price.
It's the most peaceful, beautiful place to stay - the views from the tower at the top of the lovely garden are just stunning.

We had a wonderful holiday! A lovely, peaceful villa set in beautiful countryside. The pool was fantastic and the bougainvillea very pretty. Really could have done with an extra week!

Get away from it all
If you need a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday living then this is the place for you. Set in a very rural part of the Algarve but near enough to good restaurants and the coast. A car is a must as the villa is set about a mile up a narrow unmade road. Perfectly driveable though. Surrounded by orange orchards and nature. The villa was probably too big for my husband and I but would be perfect for a couple of families with everything you could need for a comfortable holiday. The outside space is amazing with extensive well kept gardens and a sparkling spacious swimming pool. I would highly recommend this villa.

Ruhe pur!
Das Haus liegt mitten im Grünen, neben einer Orangenplantage in einer absolut ruhigen Umgebung. Ab und an hört man mal ein Flugzeug, aber das war es auch schon. Die Anfahrt geht über einen Feldweg, das ist aber kein Problem. Haus, Pool und Garten sind wunderbar, man findet immer ein schönes Plätzchen zum Lesen, Entspannen oder Sonnenbaden. Das Haus ist geräumig und es fehlt an nichts. Alles war sauber und gepflegt, zur Begrüßung stand eine Flasche Wein in der Küche und 2 Flaschen Mineralwasser im Kühlschrank. Der nächste Supermarkt ist gleich in Moncarapacho (ca. 2 km entfernt), bis ans Meer fährt man eine Viertelstunde mit dem Auto. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen! Hinweis für Gäste mit Kleinkindern: Der Pool ist nicht eingezäunt und über 2 Meter tief. Kleinkinder müssen hier beaufsichtigt werden!

Privé huis met groot zwembad
Het huis met 3 slpkmrs (gedateerd) met het fantastische zwembad van 6x10 meter en mooie tuin ligt afgelegen en bereik je d.m.v. 5 minuten rijden op een onverharde weg. Alle prive. Met een paar minuten zit je in het dorp met een kleine supermarkt waar ze verse broodjes verkopen en een tankstation. Olhoa ligt op 15 minuten rijden: grote supermarkt en restaurants e.d. Faro vliegveld ligt op 20 minuten afstand. Het enige tweepersoonsbed heeft een prima stevig, maar niet te hard, matras. De douche in de grote badkamer heeft een verrassende goede waterdruk. Kortom tevreden en voor herhaling vatbaar. Enige minpuntje: de 2 kleine parasols/standaarden passen niet in elkaar, vliegen rond je oren bij een windvlaag.

Rustic villa with excellent pool
Had a lovely stay here with friends. The villa is off the beaten track within 1.5 miles of nearest small town Moncarapacho. We walked to 2 restaurants in the town and had excellent meals.
We had some lovely days relaxing by the pool and swimming 😎 Also did an island boat trip, and superb walk around the natural park. Saw lots of wild life.

Sehr schönes, ruhiges Domiziil
Das Haus hat eine sehr ruhige und abgelegene Lage, was wir sehr schätzen. Allerdings sollte der Mieter wissen, dass er auf einem sehr holprigen Feldweg zum Haus fahren muss und er ein entsprechendes Mietauto buchen sollte. Das Haus ist sehr geräumig und gut eingerichtet. Unserer Meinung nach fehlen allerdings Moskitonetze über den Betten, die für einen erholsamen Urlaub in dieser Gegend absolut notwendig sind. Außerdem sind die Betten mit einer Länge von 1,85m für den Durchschnittseuropäer, definitiv zu kurz geraten. Ansonsten sind wir von Jacaranda holidys sehr freundlich empfangen und betreut worden. Gerne wieder😊�

Great property, difficult location
Directions to property not entirely clear, led to false hunt up wrong lane. Correct lane still a challenge, dirt track with rocks that split a car tyre costing over 300 Euro to replace. Property itself was a joy, very much enjoyed by young and old. Main complaint was the beds: hard and unforgiving with pathetic pillows - a common feature of villas in this area in our experience. Also the wifi service provided proved useless. Could connect to service but could not access even an email.

Magnifique maison, en tous points conforme aux photos et à l’annonce
Entourée de champs d’oliviers et d’orangers, cette location est idéale si vous cherchez la tranquillité et l’isolement, sans aucun vis-à-vis. Le village de Moncarapacho n’est qu’à 6 min en voiture, et son petit supermarché est très correct.
Nous avons adoré notre séjour, loin de la foule de vacanciers qui s’agglutine plus à l’ouest, dans la région de Portimao.
La maison est belle et confortable, d’une propreté irréprochable. La cuisine est bien équipée, la salle de bain principale est immense. Les chambres sont grandes et possèdent des armoires encastrées et une commode, donc beaucoup de rangement.
Le jardin est très fleuri et bien entretenu, et la piscine est très grande, avec un côté bien profond et un accès facile grâce à des marches. Attention toutefois, pas de protection ou alarme pour enfants en bas-âge.
Il n’y a pas la climatisation, mais un ventilateur sur pied dans chaque chambre permet de supporter les nuits les plus torrides !
L’agence a été parfaite, et notre contact sur place (Lin) était adorable et très serviable.
Bref, nous recommandons sans hésiter !

Villa de rêve dans un décor idyllique
Magnifique propriété dans un cadre idyllique très calme, au milieu d'une orangeraie. Emplacement très pratique, à quelques kilomètres pour faire ses courses et très proche( moins d'une demi heure ) de nombreux lieux à visiter , dont plusieurs iles très authentiques) N'hésitez pas à faire les excursions de ces iles et la visite en tuk tuk de la ville d'ilhao
La maison est très bien équipée, rien ne manque, et très propre
la piscine est très grande et profonde, agreable pour vraiment nager et plonger
Excellente connexion internet par wifi
c'est une maison adapté pour quelqu'un à mobilité réduite, mais pas un handicapé complet (plusieurs marches)
Nous avions quelqu'un en fauteuil roulant , mais capable de tenir debout et de faire quelques pas, la maison ne lui a pas posé de problème.
Bravo à l'équipe qui est très réactive au moindre problème et très sympathique
Nous avons passé un excellent séjour et recommandons vivement cette villa
Nous étions trois couples et sommes tous enthousiastes pour revenir, car de façon générale nous avons trouvé les portugais très sympathiques, conviviaux , contents d'acceuillir des touristes et de partager leur culture, sans chercher à les arnaquer comme c'est malheureusement trop souvent le cas dans certains pays

very relaxing and spacious holiday getaway
We loved Casa Alexandra, especially the outdoor areas. We spent over 3 weeks during October and the weather was fantastic apart from a few days of rain. The views from the pagoda are sensational, especially at sunset and the pool terrace and surroundings are spacious. We loved having barbeques by the pool and picking our own oranges and lemons from the trees. Moncarapacho and Fuzeta are very close and have a nice authentic feel to them. The beaches are beautiful and we loved how unspoilt they are.
We will definitely return!
