We loved how the owner had decorated the property in keeping with its era. We were pouring through the bookcase of interesting books to find out more about the house’s history. The light fittings, furnishings, books and decor were beautiful. We had everything we needed both in the property and due to its location we had everything at our doorstep without having to get in the car.

Definitely lived up to expectations, decorated superbly, comfortable & conveniently located.

Fabulous feel to the cottage, superbly decorated with a nod to its heritage, lovely modern bathrooms, comfortable beds, couldn’t get a better location in town for convenience & experience. It had everything we needed.

Nice house, get in contact before arrival

Lovely old house.

The previous (not current) owner’s phone number is associated with the property, online and printed on the front of the property. We had no mobile internet coverage in Beechworth, so we didn’t get the email with details, sent just before we arrived. We were ready to book a room at a nearby hotel by the time we got the lockbox code for the key.

Superb

We loved how central it was.Modern conveniences. Bath was lovely but would have been nice to have some bath products.Eg Bath salts, bubble bath, but overall absolutely loved the old world charm and would definitely stay here again.

Being old school I had trouble working the modern stove top, and I couldn't find any instructions in the pamphlets provided, but I eventually worked it out.

We loved everything about our stay and wished we could stay longer.

Loved everything. The location was excellent. Close to shops and restaurants. The house was tastefully renovated and decorated with lovely antiques and furniture. Very cosy and well heated. Beds were comfortable and made with luxurious linens. Bottle of wine and crumpets were a nice touch. Coffe shop next door was great.

We loved the location Situated right in the historic centre of town. The combination of old world charm and modern facilities worked well in the quaint Cottage All amenities were of a high standard.

We loved everything. However a coffee table in the lounge room would be good.

Marlo House was ideal for our stay in Beechworth.

My wife & I loved everything about Marlo House. The location of Marlo House is perfect, just off the main intersection of Beechworth, within walking distance to everything in Beechworth. You couldn't get any closer to the centre of Beechworth. The house itself is lovely and decorated beautifully. Lots of old clocks & old bellow cameras. Perfect for the house. The kitchen is clean and well stocked. All the bedrooms are very comfortable & the bathrooms are clean & bright. The lounge room has a beautiful old chesterfield couch, very comfortable. We would be very happy to stay at the Marlo House again in the future.

The only thing we didn't like is that we only booked for 2 nights. We could have stayed much longer and will next time.

Beautifully renovated and tastefully decorated. it was a pleasure to spend time here.
