Cozy cottage about 7 km from Lake Orta. The position is hilly at 400 meters high, ideal for those looking for a reserved and quiet place. The house is spread over 2 floors. On the ground floor there is a sitting room closed by large windows, on a 52 inch television a comfortable double sofa bed and an armchair. After the living room there is the well equipped kitchen a fireplace then the washing machine inserted in the cabinet which also houses the pantry on the same floor as the first bathroom with shower. On the second floor there is the double bedroom and the second bathroom. Guests have access to an independent house with uncovered parking space and to the garden. The house is not suitable for small children and animals as it lives in a nearby area. Guests will be accompanied to the house, will have all the necessary information to manage themselves independently. The house has a kitchen in the pantry you will have basic food available for cooking such as oil, salt, milk and coffee. In the surroundings, a few kilometers away is the very pretty village of Orta San Giulio with excellent restaurants and local craft shops. We are about 1 hour's drive from Monte Rosa a beautiful 4000m mountain. 1 hour from the Canton of Valais in Switzerland and from Ticino with Ascona and Locarno. Excellent opportunity to ski in nearby towns. The area is not served by public transport so it is better to be self-employed. The house is also equipped with free Wi-fi. 2 flat screen televisions with paytv (SKY) and AppleTV. Very simple check in because I am the one who will come to pick you up. Classic Italian chalet just restored about 7 km from Lake Orta. It is located in the countryside in a very quiet village (Gattugno), from which several trails starts for quiet walks in the open air. The house is on two floors: - on the ground floor there is a large living room with windows, a LCD television (52 inches) and a sofa bed, on the right, going for a solid wood door, there is the well-equipped kitchen with washing machine and a moile that comes with assorted pots and dishes and finally the bathroom. - On the second floor ither's a master bedroom and a bathroom. It is a detached house with garden and uncovered parking. The house is not suitable for small children and dogs because there's a cat that live nearby. Guests will be escorted to the house, they will have all the above information needed to manage themselves autonomously throughout. The house is equipped with kitchen and will be available the basic foods for cooking like oil, salt, milk, coffee and pasta.

Nice house, nice large garden, no surrounding noise, only sound of birds and a little stream. Very friendly host. Close to the lakes.

Very nice house in a remote place, ideal for people who prefer a quiet place, yet be in proximity of Lago Maggiore and Lago di orta with tons of activities.
And in the evening relax in the hot tub. Very friendly and helpful owner. Five stars for almost everything.
Just two things that were a bit awkward - kitchen/dining room is pretty dark - a bit more light would be great, and the 'main' modern bathroom has a great rain shower but only cold water (there's a smaller hot water shower on upper floor).

Very nice weekend in Omegna
We had a very pleasant and relaxing stay at Laura's beautiful house which is situated close to Ortasee and Lago Maggiore (by car). The house is equipped with everything you need and has a nice and charming atmosphere.

Véritable havre de paix au milieu de la forêt...
Superbe petit Chalet traditionnel niché en pleine forêt mais pas trop... La bâtisse est typique de la région avec sa cheminée au feu de bois, son poêle et la vue sur les montagnes à couper le souffle. Le Jacuzzi traditionnel est un réel plus, surtout après une journée de ski ou de luge. La "baita" a également tout le confort nécessaire pour satisfaire ado et grand 😉 internet, apple tv, Netflix ... Tout y est si besoin. Laura, la propriétaire est d'une gentillesse extraordinaire, pannetone et prosecco en cadeau d'arrivé (d'ailleurs le prosecco était vraiment très bon !), Une vrai guide touristique de la région ! La maison est situé en dessous d'un monastère où l'on y trouve produits locaux & artisanals made in monastère 😊 confiture, crème, liqueur... Bref nous retournerons bien volontiers à la Casa puppi tant par la région que par la gentillesse de Laura et de sa chaleureuse maison. Merci beaucoup 🙏

A perfect getaway to rebalance
From the first contact to the last one we were supported perfectly by Laura. Kind, precise and always helpful! The house and the property itself was absolutely tidy and clean so we felt comfortable on our first impression. My personal highlight was the authenticity of the old but very well restored house (ca. 200 yrs old) with a beautiful fireplace. It was also nice to have a hot tub where you can enjoy your drink whilst surrounded by mountains with snow on top!
Long story short, this place is perfect to be hidden away from a hectic world! Thanks again Laura, never ever have I been at such a beautiful place as yours!

Eine traumhafte Oase für Ruhesuchende
Schon bei der Buchung hat alles einwandfrei geklappt. Laura hat gleich geantwortet und der Kontakt war sehr sympathisch und zuvorkommend. Die Anreise zum Rustico ist mit Auto problemlos möglich. Vor Ort erwartet einem ein traumhaft ruhig gelegenes Rustico mit einem schönen, gepflegtem Umschwung. Man hat absolute Privatsphäre. Das liebevoll und geschmackvoll eingerichtete Ferienhaus lässt keine Wünsche offen und verfügt über alle Alltagsgegenstände, wie man es sich von Zuhause gewohnt ist. Alles ist sehr sauber, gepflegt und gut unterhalten. Ein weiteres Highlight ist der Hot Tube, der einfach zu bedienen ist und zu gemütlichem Badespass bei einem Glas Wein einlädt. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt enorm genossen und danke Laura an dieser Stelle für ihre Herzlichkeit und grosse Gastfreundschaft. Wir werden uns noch lange erinnern und freuen uns sehr, bald eine erneute Reise im diese Ruheoase zu planen.

Hervorragend zum Entspannen!
Wir waren auf der Suche nach einem einem ruhigen, abgelegenen Häuschen in dem man die wenigen Urlaubstage gut nutzen kann, um runter zu fahren und den Kopf abzuschalten. Mit Lauras Haus sind wir fündig geworden!
Schon die Kontaktaufnahme mit Laura zeigte uns, dass wir hier nichts falsches machen.
Laura antwortet schnell, ist überaus nett, gastfreundlich und steht mit Tipps für die Tagesgestaltung parat. In das Ferienhaus hat sie viel Mühe investiert mit Liebe zum Detail.
Das Grundstück liegt leicht abgeschieden im Wald, das nächste Dorf ist zwar nur 50m entfernt aber durch die dicht stehenden Bäume kommt es einem weit weg vor. Beste Voraussetzungen also für Ruhe und Entspannung. Im Erdgeschoss finden sie ein Wohnzimmer (Schwedenofen und mit AppleTV ausgestatteter Fernseher) mit großen aufschiebbaren Fenstern. Die Couch kann ausgeklappt werden und als Bett genutzt werden. Im nächsten Raum ist die großzügige Küche die wirklich mit ALLEM ausgestattet ist, was man braucht. Im hinteren Teil des Raums steht eine weitere Couch vor einem wunderschönen Kamin. Ebenfalls im Erdgeschoss ist ein schönes Badezimmer mit WC und Dusche (neuwertig). Über eine kleine Treppe kommt man ins Dachgeschoss mit dem schönen Schlafzimmer, das ein eigenes kleineres Badezimmer hat, ebenfalls mit WC und Dusche.
Alles ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und voll ausgestattet, es fehlt einem an nichts!
Im Garten dann das absolute Highlight: ein Hot-Tub! Er lädt zum entspannten Verweilen ein. Kleiner Tipp von uns: den Fernseher im Wohnzimmer umdrehen, dann kann man im Tub sitzen, dabei Netflixxen und gemütlich ein Bierchen oder Glas Wein trinken.
Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind innerhalb weniger Minuten mit dem Auto erreichbar und auch zu den vielen Seen sind es nur kurze Strecken.
Wie schon in anderen Bewertungen steht, ist die Zufahrt wg der Unebenheiten und Steigung eine Herausforderung, die sich aber bewältigen lässt.
Wir haben unseren Kurzurlaub in Lauras Haus wirklich sehr genossen und können es uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen!

Wonderful house and perfect host
We wanted a quiet spot to relax and enjoy being away from the rest of the world. It was perfect. Laura made sure the house was as warm as her welcome (even in January).

Pure Erholung
Wundervolles kleines Haus zum entspannen, direkt neben einem kleinem Bach gelegen. Das Haus ist schön eingerichtet und quasi alles was man zum Kochen braucht ist vorhanden, sowie Fondue, Tischgrill, Raclette, ...
Der Kamin, als auch der Pelletofen schaffen ein super Ambiente an kalten Tagen und der Hot Tub ist ein absolutes Highlight.
Die Vermieterin ist jederzeit zu erreichen, falls man etwas benötigt und ist dabei auch immer super nett.
Das Haus ist gut mit dem Auto zu erreichen, wobei die Einfahrt beim Tor etwas uneben ist, wodurch man evtl. auch mal aufsetzt.
Im Umland sind auch diverse Möglichkeiten zum Wandern gegeben.
Insgesamt können wir das Haus und die Vermieterin nur empfehlen!

A perfect hideaway for two
We were so pleased to find a comfortable and attractive property for two people instead of having to pay for a bigger property which we don't need. The property is in a secluded mountain setting with complete privacy. It is well stocked with every kind of equipment and we particularly enjoyed cooking with the right kind of pots and pans for pasta etc. and eating in the garden on the stone table.
Laura gave us great directions to meet her and was kind and welcoming. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others who want to sample an authentic Italian holiday.

Sehr schönes Ferienhaus, in toller Lage, mit Komplettausstattung
Sehr herzlicher Empfang durch die Vermieterin Laura! Als Willkommensgeschenk gab es italienische Köstlichkeiten. Das Haus ist gut mit einem normalen Fahrzeug zu erreichen und liegt in günstiger Lage für Ausflüge. Es fehlte uns in dem Haus an nichts. Abends bei einem Glas Wein in dem Hotpot zu sitzen ist dann die Entspannung pur!

Ungewöhnlich herrlich !
Bereits die ersten freundlichen Mail-Kontakte ließen uns ahnen, dass wir ein besonderes Haus mit einer besonderen Gastgeberin gewählt hatten. Noch nie haben wir in Italien ein Feriendomizil gefunden, das so reichlich in Küche und Bad und mit Bücherborden ausgestattet war. Laura, die uns mit einer Fülle an Lebensmitteln zur "Erstversorgung" beschenkte, (und jederzeit erreichbar war) hat diesem Haus eine besondere Atmosphäre verliehen, so dass man sich nur wohlfühlen kann.
Fernab vom Alltagslärm kann man den Bach nebenan und nachts die Rufe der Eulen hören. Und Grundstückskatze Mina, die sich über einen verlässlich gefüllten Fressnapf freut, ist für Katzenfreunde ein weiterer Pluspunkt.
Wir werden sehr gerne wiederkommen und bedanken uns für das gelungene Komplettpaket!

Unglaublich schön und erholsam!!!
Wunderbar gelegenes kleines Häuschen mit Garten inmitten von kleinen Bergdörfern.
Keine direkten Nachbarn und somit Ruhe und Erholung garantiert.
Die Vermieterin Laura ist sehr lieb und zuvorkommend, im Haus ist alles was man braucht.

Richtig schön!
Das Haus von Laura ist super. Von der Ausstattung bis zur Lage ist alles top. Selbst im regnerischen Spätherbst bietet es alle Annehmlichkeiten, die man sich wünschen kann. Genug Holz für den Kamin und den Badezuber war genau so vorhanden, wie allerlei Küchenutensilien und alles, was man sonst so braucht. Zur Begrüßung hat ein Körbchen mit allerlei Aufmerksamkeiten für das erste Abendessen auf uns gewartet und Laura hat uns alles erklärt, was es zum Haus zu wissen gab. Auf Anfrage konnte sie sogar einen Hochstuhl für unseren 9 Monate alten Sohn beschaffen.
Vom Haus aus erreicht man die Seen Norditaliens sehr schnell und auch Mailand ist in knapp einer Stunde mit dem Auto gut zu erreichen. Der nächste größere Supermarkt ist mit dem Auto in wenigen Minuten erreichbar.
Wir können Laura und ihr Haus in den Bergen nur empfehlen und würden uns freuen, wenn wir das Haus bei schönem Wetter nochmal genießen können. Wir sind von der Gastfreundschaft und von der herzlichen Art Lauras sehr begeistert.

Erholungsurlaub
Laura ist eine sehr nette Vermieterin, die jeder Zeit anrufbereit war, wenn Probleme gewesen wären. Wir sind sehr herzlich aufgenommen worden. Bei 35 Grad war der Badezuber sehr angenehm. Das Haus bot viel ( vom Salz bis Handtücher).
Mina ( die Streunerkatze) war auch froh das Gäste da waren. Jederzeit weiter zu empfehlen.

Magnifique et hors du temps
Un accueil exceptionnel par Laura dans ce chalet plein de charme et avec une vraie âme. On se sent tout de suite chez soi. Le chalet est situé à environ 20 mn du lac d'Orta et du lac Majeur, un peu en surplomb, plus au frais. Il ne faut pas avoir peur des petites routes.
Nous avons passé un moment suspendu, magique. Nous le recommandons à tous ceux qui aiment l'authenticité et la simplicité.

We really appreciated all the local advice Laura gave us on arrival. Also easy access to the autoroute so we could visit lots of places easily. The owner is amazing, friendly and speaks great English. The home is gated and super private. There is a waterfall as your neighbor and no houses in site. The landscaping is like a botanical garden that you would happily pay to visit. Wow. All of it... just WOW.

This stay was an experience that my wife and I will never forget. We’ve stayed in HomeAways from Utah to Germany for years. The location is gorgeous. The owner is amazing, friendly and speaks great English. The home is gated and super private. There is a waterfall as your neighbor and no houses in site. The landscaping is like a botanical garden that you would happily pay to visit. Wow. All of it... just WOW.
