This place was perfect walking distance to everything , i would definitely stay here again hands down

Loved our stay - the location, ease, communication with owner. We lived in LA for 18 years, brought our 4 year old back for the first time since leaving. Had a blast. Can't beat the location to the pier and access to the 10 freeway. Ocean views were wonderful. Know the kitchette doesn't have a stove/oven, but the fridge, toaster oven, coffee maker and tea kettle were plenty. To have free parking that close to the beach was unheard of. As other review state, the garage is TINY. We thankfully read that ahead and turned down a free rental care upgrade, making sure we got a compact/economy size. Thank goodness we did. Don't know how we would've fit an SUV though others said they squeezed in. we did see a Tesla park in a neighboring garage for size reference. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Would definitely stay again!

Very comfy studio. Clean and loved that we had a garage! Just big enough for a small SUV. Loved that we were steps from the Santa Monica Beach boardwalk and pier!

We love this studio as it has an ocean view and was very clean and the beds were so comfortable! Steps from the pier and beach! We ate at restaurants around us everyday ad they were so friendly and fun. I love the 2 beds, table, couch areas s it feels like a real living space. The host gave easy, precise directions and communication was easy and quick. Thanks for a perfect stay.

We loved our stay here. My husband and I felt right at home. We lived the bright openness of the place. Beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean. We loved the short walk to the beach and pier. We would definitely stay here again.

We had an amazing time while staying at this property, the location was fantastic so close to everything we needed, the open plan layout was welcoming and the view was great! Communication from the property manager was easy, they waste super accomodating.

Was in town for an event and this was a great spot. Comfortable, view of the beach, can walk to the pier, great communication with the owner. Would definitely recommend!

My family and I really loved this property. It was walking distance to the beach, restaurants, and the boardwalk. It also had a very nice view. We would definitely stay here again.

This property is close to but is not on the beach. The angles of the pictures you see in the advertisement tell an inaccurate story of what you will get (furniture is terribly worn.. )but the apartment is clean. The outdoor sitting area was not private nor without cigarette smoke from others within close proximity. However, the restaurants in the area are good but you will not want to walk about due to the influx of vagrants walking up and down the alley which is the shared entrance to the apartment. The garage is extremely tight for a standard SUV but we managed. We had very little interaction with the host (which only happened upon our evening arrival..speaking with her on our cell several times for clarity sake..) às we were directed to read the instructions provided about the unit..(even though we had read and reread). Overall, the unit is an over priced somewhat nice apartment with lots of construction happening on nearly every side throughout the day. The shower was clean and well stocked with shampoo but the shower door needs to be fixed so to keep it shut. The kitchen was very clean and had an ample supply of cooking gadgets, towels, dishes, and cups. We had looked forward to Our weekend visit to Santa Monica and it was still scenic and enjoyable. Thank you for a clean apartment.

We had a wonderful time. Loved the place. The beds are so comfortable. The location is incredible and very convenient because of parking advantage. It’s so close to the pier we walked it a couple of times. Definitely coming back.

Cute studio right next to the pier. Beds are super comfortable and couch is super comfy. We could hear the waves crashing when it quieted down at night. Minutes walk to the sand and pier. Yummy food at Bubba Gumps. Tight squeeze fitting our Ford Edge in the garage. We kept it parked the whole trip as everything we needed was within walking distance. We stocked up on groceries before we got there. Super wonderful vacation time for whole family. We plan on staying again next year.

Wry nice property. Easy and short walk to the beach and pier. Property manager was easy to reach (though we had no issues that needed to be addressed). Would stay here again.

It was romantic, warm and very inviting also in the middle of all the fun. The beach is very close (one minute walk) also a great view of the beach from in the property. Very quiet, respectable neighbors and the garage parking was a big plus very nice layout, we loved it!!

Perfect place for a beach weekend!

Fantabulous! Vacation Real Estate is about Location to the Nth degree. This place hits it out of the park! Beach & ocean view, 5-min walk to Santa Monica Pier, less than 100 yards from the sand. You are in the heart to the quintessential SoCalifornia life. The flat is well appointed, spacious, two queen beds and large sofas. Fireplace (not that we needed that in August), hardwood floors. Admittedly the bathroom/ sink arrangement is a bit unconventional - but you can get by. You get a dedicated 1-car garage (no worries about finding parking - big plus), and a small outdoor patio space (sorry no view on this side). Its a "walk-up" so be prepared (travel with small bags). The narrowish external stairs were reminiscent of an old-world village. Complete with locking Iron gate. Very quaint. We were here for 3 days, and that was enough for our kids to decide they will plan to move here after college. SoCal can do that to you. This is the perfect little gem of a flat for that "kick-back and relax" beach vacation. Shops & restaurants in spades within walking distance - but the BEACH - all the way to the spectacular sunsets - you really need nothing else . . . (a bit of trivia for those old enough to remember - this is the "Baywatch" beach. You'll recognize the lifeguard shacks immediately, sans David Hasselhoff & Pam Anderson - sorry)

Much like other reviews have written, The property is a good location for its proximity to the beach, pier and downtown Santa Monica dining and shopping. Read about the beach and other LA beaches if you're not familiar with the experience. The studio was fairly clean, but could use a derailed deep cleaning. The fridge and freezer had leftover items in them, which want a big deal to throw away. We did have an issue with the fridge, and the propert manager addressed it immediately, and made sure we were all set. The studio could use some small updates, like hooks for towels and such, but it definitely served its purpose. At no fault to the studio or property managers, be advised that the location is loud, especially on Friday and Saturday nights. You'll hear every yelling voice and vehicle that comes near; and on Fri & Sat, you'll hear them all night.

Over all a great location I felt safe the place was very clean easy check in 8/10

This was our first time in Santa Monica and it was great! This property is in the best location, it couldn't have been better. It's within walking distance of literally everything. If you're looking for peace and quiet this is not the place for you. If you want to be a part of the energy of SM, stay here. I would definitely stay there again.

The vacation that never happened I reserved the room more than a week before arrival and was charged immediately. When it got close to time for me to be there I was told I had no reservations. I had to make plans elsewhere. The property owners never even bother to call. Now I am having to fight the charges with my credit card company. This manner doing business is really pathetic

The property manager was easy to deal with but the property wasn’t very clean. There was no soap or sponges for the dishes. Empty food boxes and coffee cans were still there. Old beverages in the mini fridge and the kitchen is pretty small I don’t think it’s included in the pictures(double check on that).

I did not have a pleasant stay here. The neighborhood is located right next to the Santa Monica pier and so was very loud and noisy especially on Saturday night. The apartment itself was not clean and the basic kitchen necessities where poorly supplied. The bedding actually smelled. Garage is very small and with the tight street and turning radius extremely difficult to pull in to. TV channels impossible to locate and navigate. I do not recommend this property.

Honestly, this studio was better than I expected. It was just me, but could have comfortably been a great place for 2-3 people. Plus, the location couldn’t be better. I was expecting to be disappointed since the pics aren’t great, but I absolutely loved this place. It probably would benefit from a deep clean (window sills and such) but it was by no means dirty. I could tell It had just been cleaned and restocked when I checked in. It also has a little patio that is not pictured, but super cute. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend!

Excellent location and very clean property. The owners are helpful and quick to respond to queries. There are two things that let it down which interrupted our sleep : 1) gets very bright in the morning - the kitchen windows don’t have blinds, and it’s a glass window to the bedroom! 2) Noise - some of the windows are not double glazed, and a lot of traffic noise gets in (Harley Davidson bikes with it being so close to Route 66!). The windows also whistle and rattle on windy days.

This is a great location! A few minutes walk to the pier, Starbucks and bike rental. Shopping on third street and other malls within 10 mins walk. My rating was low because of the cleanliness. We had to wipe down the coffee table, the counter area had food stains, the shelves to store clothes and toiletries were dusty. This is unacceptable especially when traveling during Covid, everything should be sanitized. There also weren’t enough supplies. (The day before leaving we ran out of paper towels and toilet paper).

Location - This spot was perfect for our beach trip! You can walk everywhere you need to go. It’s right next to the pier, plenty of restaurants, bike rentals and snack hut. Steps away from the boardwalk that you can walk, bike, rollerblader or skate/longboard. We skate boarded to Venice and back each day and it’s only about 4 miles round trip! As for neighborhood, it’s like any city; it’s noisy and there are homeless around, but we never felt unsafe being two girls in our 20s. The condo - It is more like a loft feel, a large studio with plenty of space. There is actually a pretty good beach view from a few windows! It was really hot while we were here (93 f) and there is no AC, but other than one night, there was plenty of breeze coming in to keep us relatively cool. No full kitchen, but a mini fridge is all we needed. Parking - We parked in the garage directly under the loft, some people said it was really small. We had a Rav4 with surf boards and we fit in, we just unloaded before parking. Overall a great spot to spend a few days!

We got to the property later than expected due to traffic so were trying to find the space in the dark. The neighborhood is dirty, we drove up to a bunch of people just hanging around and a homeless person puking next to his home which was next to the garage door. We actually passed it a couple times not recognizing it . You enter through the alley by the construction. The garage is tight, I have a midsized car and we had an inch and a half on either side of the car to get in the garage. They are serious when they say do not leave the garage or gate open if you are not standing there, not great area. The gate sticks, really hard to get in and there are numerous narrow stairs with cigarette butts everywhere. The entrance is very dark. Upon entering this space which the owner told us was covid cleaned, there was a layer of grime and dirt everywhere. We felt so uncomfortable we debated staying. We called all the hotels in the area but everything was full for the weekend and VRBo didn't have any other spaces to put us in so we slept on a blanket from my car. No air conditioning, most of the windows don't open because they're so dirty and the ones that can open do not have screens. The construction site is directly adjacent and there is no security so we heard people climbing around next to us dropping bottles and partying all night. The pilot light for the fireplace is constantly going so the place is hot. The tv doesnt work and the only sink is outside the bathroom. We went for a walk before my dress appointment the next morning and returned to find the door wouldn't open. We called the owner multiple times and received no response. We tried the code over and over and the battery must have been dying or something because it opened once and we scrambled to change clothes and race to my wedding dress appointment. The owner finally called back and said no one would be able to fix the door to just use the alternate key and that she didn't have us for both nights. She was nice and seemed to be trying to fix the situation, but the whole thing was a nightmare. If we had any other options we wouldn't have stayed, in hindsight sleeping in our car would have been a less stressful and clean option.
