Room was spacious and clean. Felt like a cabin in the woods, very peaceful and beautiful. Bed was extremely warm and comfortable.
Check in was self service, never met anyone working there or staying there. Felt kind of sketchy. Wasn’t sure if doorknob locked correctly, shower took so long to get warm water, the walls were thin between rooms. And you get woken up by a rooster

We liked the very quiet place that it is. The effort to make it feel like a welcome home. The large balcony to relax outside.
No host. A bit of Chinese herb smell. No real coffee other than a package of instant. The “neighbor cat” was friendlier than the the owner.

Absolutely beautiful cabin. So cozy!
There was a sound, coming from the forest i think? A constant beeping like when you make a phone call. It was all day and night. Thats of course not the cabin rentals fault. But that was the only downside.

Nothing! We got ripped off
Everything! Cold and dingy, and the location was awful. The place was filthy, and the front porch was a nightmare. No locks on the door. The water smelled bad.

The host was so lovely!
It definitely was a bit more extra than we expected. The host (I can’t remember her name, unfortunately) greeted us with enthusiasm and gave us the story of the property. A beautiful place secluded from the hustle and bustle of outside world. Don’t be alarmed from the roosters that crow bright and early!!

There was rat poo in the closet. The room was extremely cold. I could not be sure the sheets were clean. They were mismatched and the comforter was thread bare. I was very uncomfortable and did not stay there. I am a female and was alone in the house with the male owner. He assured me he would refund me because of the rat poo, but now refuses.

This place is absolutely beautiful!!!! It is so quite. The place was very clean. I clean houses and businesses for a living and I was impressed. The manager dealt with us not reading the note on the front door and just laughed at us. He was very nice. We really enjoyed our visit and plan on coming back in May.
I little better communication with the check in process

Beautiful house in a forest. Really lovely.
No hospitality. we expected it to be more of an inn, but you’re basically renting a room in somebody’s home. The people are there, in their part of the home, but you never see them. Self check-in, and any communication is via texts. The would-be social areas of the house are closed off. You go to your room and stay there. No TV. No breakfast bar, although they are set up for it. can’t even get a cup of coffee. The bathroom was spacious and nice, but the morning we left, they had no hot water. Icing on the cake.

nice except it would have been nice to have clean WHITE sheets

Great location in the woods.
The place needed a good dusting! No one was there to greet us upon arrival. Front door was open with a note to go up to the room with my name on it.

Nothing!!
When I got there, my room was locked and I couldn't get in. I tried to contact the homeowner and codnt. A staff member of booking finally got a hold of them and refused to refund my money. The owner of the property them blew up my phone all night, cussing me out and threatening me.

The price.
The place was listed as a hotel but it was obviously someone’s house. It was filthy and while we went out for dinner someone went into our locked room and took a shower. We only knew because they left a dirty towel and wet shower. We ended up finding another hotel for the night because we felt very unsafe.

DO NOT STAY HERE!! This is someone’s personal
home. No restaurant, no front desk, everything you see in the pictures is roped off and you can’t use it. It had a terrible smell and we left right after walking in.
Everything, I don’t go onto booking.cow to stay in someone’s personal home.

The log cabin itself is beautiful
It felt weird to stay here. It didn't feel clean. Socks on door handles. Carpets laying over carpets. Kitchenware wrapped in plastic. Everything a person buys in his/her entire life but nevers gets thrown away is getting piled in the guest rooms.
It seems that the owner is scared to death by COVID, but then why advertising on booking.com?

It was very quiet and the bed was very comfortable. We slept very well. Unusual place, and that suited us as I've seen too many square walls and cookie cutter hotels.
only thing - is I would have liked hot water to make our own coffee and tea in the morning - but we could not figure out how to work the hot water dispenser.

What a beautiful location, what an incredible house, the Staff or Owner was very good at leaving us to ourselves. We really enjoyed this property, I have chickens in the subtle background sounds for their chickens Was comforting, the house is gorgeous and very private for those staying inside.
Better instructions on how to get coffee creamer and sugar, it was just sitting out and I was not sure if I could help myself, there was no cream.

Great setting, in the woods but close to town. Very comfortable and home-like.
Scatter rugs should be flatter, ridges could be a tripping hazard.

We liked the quiet setting and the large room. There was plenty of space to spread out if need be. The decor is very eclectic. The location, the log cabin home, and the outdoor setting all reminded us of driving on backroads in Alaska.
We expected an actual lodge with a couple of rooms. Instead, we found a family home renting a one-bedroom master suite with an attached bathroom. The entrance to the room was through the main entrance of the home. Although nicely divided so that we could only choose to go up the stairs and not enter the main living room, it was a surprise to us. It honestly felt a little eerie when we arrived to find only signs to direct us into what looked like a private home. I wish we would have been forewarned. Also, there are no signs from the main road directing us to the property. That should have been our first clue that this was not a lodge but a house. This was the kind of property I expect to find on Airbnb, not Booking.com.

We had been traveling home for 3 days with 1 day remaining on the road. We were tired, stressed and heart-broken from the loss of a family member. It was perfect. We loved the peace and quiet. There were no road noises. The style was very eclectic with many comforts. The room was large, clean, and had everything we needed.
We aren't familiar with what was expected for cleanup from our stay and hope we didn't do anything to cause extra work for the owner.

The location is not too far out of Crescent City in the Redwoods. It is a room in a couples private log house. Be sure and ask for the King suite so you have a private bathroom. It is close to Stout Grove Redwood forest and it was perfect for the rest and relaxation that we were looking for in between my job visits out in the field. It does have a microwave and refrigerator. So one night we went to crescent city for dinner and bought breakfast and lunch things for back at room. We also had leftovers from our dinner out and brought them back to the room for our evening meal. It was great to do a redwood forest visit and then just relax in the room and on the outdoor deck, read a book and unwind in the forest.
It is a private home and English is not the couples first language. They make it easy though as you just come in the front door and go upstairs and your name will be on the room to enter. Some find the geese an annoyance. I was not troubled by them in the least. The foghorn that you hear in the distance does not blow at night. The only thing that I didn't like is many of the decorations are artificial flower arrangements and they seemed old and like dust catchers. I didn't have problems with allergies, it just felt like I could have. The place is very clean and very relaxing.

Property is surrounded by forest. I heard owls and hawks.
It was a bit awkward doing DIY check in.

The hosts were friendly.
There was a mixup with the booking.

The location was just stunning - 5 minutes away from the ocean, in the middle of a redwood forest, with lots of birds around the property. The cabin itself is stunning, beautifully built.

Hated the room decor.

The location was beautiful. Grounds were cool. Friendly cat. Balcony has a great view.
There was no food offered. No coffee maker in room. Whole bottom floor of house was blocked off. As soon as we got in our room we could hear pounding above our ceiling. Turns out they were doing roof repairs. We could see the worker thru the skylight. This went on until 9 pm! Staff never tried to communicate with us before or during our stay about this. Unfortunately they are not very good hosts.

Location
Mice or rats 🐀. Or birds in walls

Skylights made it very light in early morning. A way to draw curtains would be great.

Cool cabin in the woods, very rustic
The room smelled strongly of urine and I could hear rodents in the walls

I liked the secluded setting. Sitting on the deck listening to the geese and chickens was very relaxing. The log cabin was beautiful. I really enjoyed my brief conversation with the owner. She is a genuine sweet lady.
Couldn't find a washcloth. No biggy...
