Delightful short stay accommodation
You would never know this was a converted garage. Built as an annex to a splendid private property, the property is well situated just outside Aldeburgh and within easy reach of a large array of Suffolk attractions. It is well equipped and nicely furnished, offering a very sophisticated destination for a short break. Highly recommended.

A relaxing weeks break with our dog!
We enjoyed the stay it was very relaxing, and we enjoyed our welcome pack.
The only down side was we had seen the views of the marsh in the brochure and we could see them through our window, but we were not allowed to approach or go down to it as access to the rear of the property was restricted.
We were allowed access to anywhere in the front garden and there was a couple of tables and chairs on one side, but it meant if we had wanted food outside we would have to carry it quiet a way and would have been in full view of anybody coming down the driveway.
This restricted us because the dog could not be let out unless one of us was walking it.

A most convenient relaxing location
We had a relaxing stay at this cosy apartment. There are lots of lovely places to visit close at hand and many very good eating places.

Luxurious Weekend stay in December
We spent a lovely weekend at Marsh View, it’s a wonderful, dog friendly property. A rare find when looking for dog friendly stays. The decor and furnishings are high quality and the apartment is well appointed, including everything required if wanting to cook. It provided us with a luxurious, quiet get away in a beautiful setting. The views across the river and marshes from the rear of the property are beautiful and the Sailors Path is practically on the door step. Sadly it’s not possible to access the court yard or gardens at the rear of the property to make the most of the views.
The heating and hot water systems were a little problematic during our stay. The dining area radiator needed to be turned up very high. The property owner responded very quickly and helpfully to the problems with hot water. I would certainly return for another stay.

A gem of a place to stay
Very comfortable, clean and well equipped accommodation with a stunning view of the river estuary. So much better than the other Suffolk Hideaways accommodation we stayed in earlier in the week. Ideal location for exploring the area. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

A peaceful apartment with stunning views
This proved to be an excellent base for us to explore this part of Suffolk. Obviously close to Aldeburgh, but very handy for Snape, Orford, Thorpeness, Minsmere. There are pleasant walks from the property, including one to a bird hide close by.

Idyllic
Delightful apartment in beautiful setting. Our second visit.
Well equipped kitchen, comfy bed and modern bathroom.
Good parking at the far end of Aldeburgh, but go early if you want to stop in Southwold.

Marsh View
A wonderful stay in a beautiful apartment close to everything Aldeburgh has to offer. The furniture, white goods were very good. The artwork was very enjoyable. From biscuits, milk and tea and coffee , bathroom supplies to chairs for the beach the owners provided so much to make the stay comfortable .
The bed was massive and comfortable and the bathroom was large with shower and bath.
A negative for us was that we enjoyed the view of the marsh from our window but not being allowed to enjoy the view from the marsh facing side of the outside of the house was a disappointment. We, of course, honoured the instructions to not go on that side of the house and there was a huge area for sitting in the acres of space on the reverse of the house to sit in, just not of the marsh side.

Lovely holiday flat
Stayed in Marsh View, very comfortable, large comfy bed, good linen and towels. Brilliant shower and bath, plenty of instant hot water. Kitchen very well equipped with enough plates etc would use this apartment again and recommend it. Lovely garden to sit in too.

Perfect getaway!
A beautiful apartment in a fabulous setting and wonderful views of the river and tidal marshes. The apartment was well appointed and the owners thoughtfully provided everything necessary to get you started ; milk, tea, coffee biscuits etc. Huge private grounds at the front with tables and chairs, plenty of space for parking. Lovely area with lots to explore and interesting places to visit, especially for Benjamin Britten devotees!

A short but welcome break
A beautiful apartment in a beautiful location, the best we have stayed in.Everything you needed was there, milk in the fridge but no welcome pack !
Stunning views from the front, the only reason I have given a 4 for value, is the fact that the front garden was private, a little like going into a sweetie shop and not allowed any !!
A little hard to find from the road as the signage was not very clear and would be very difficult to see in the dark
But, nonetheless we would love to return

Wonderful Stay
Had a great 5 days at Marsh View.
The pictures on the website really do not do this property justice. It’s much better than they portray.
The place is fully equipped with quality furniture and the decor is first class.
Great attention to detail with how the property is supplied meant we were wanting very little.
Would fully recommend and will look to rebook again when there’s space!

Marsh view stay
Excellent stay with a wonderful view near Aldeburgh. Clean, quiet, with a friendly owner on hand. Felt like home from home. Thank you for the cake, biscuits and starter pack. Right next door to the sailors walk to Snape which was an additional bonus.

Perfect weekend break
Had a great weekend break at Marsh View. The house had lovely views across the River Alde from the back and a beautiful garden at the front which the dog also enjoyed. An easy 40 minute walk to the beach, shops and pubs. Perfect!

A perfect spot for relaxing
This was a great find! the views make this a stupendous place to stay and you can do a great walk from the house to Snape Maltings within about 1 1/2 hours or so. The accommodation itself is very comfortable and we lacked for nothing. Loved the shower too!

A lovely stay at a great location
Had a lovely stay at Marsh View although we arrived during a huge storm which meant we lost our water, heating and electricity for a day. The owners were very kind and helpful throughout, trying to ensure all our needs were met. The apartment was clean and comfortable, and the bed was divine. The lounge furniture was good, but not so comfy for a cosy night in. Marsh View was well equipped, however if you are using it as self catering, the kitchen was a bit lacking preparation space with limited kitchen tops. Location was perfect to explore the nature reserves on the Suffolk coast and surrounding areas. Very dog friendly too which was really nice.
All in all we had a very nice relaxing break, even though the weather was a bit challenging.

A good hideaway
This is a good apartment in a lovely setting just outside Aldeburgh. We enjoyed our walks from here and our time looking round the local villages.
We were very comfortable despite very cold weather.
No complaints.

A wonderful setting and so comfortable
A mini break because we had no summer holiday We were not disappointed. Marsh View was excellent for my husband who has difficulty walking, as it is all on one level and parking is near the front door. The space and light within the property lifted our spirits ( as did the welcoming bottle of wine in the fridge!)
The bathroom is spacious and pristine.
We loved the colours and decor of the living area.
We were able to have our Norfolk Terrier with us and he was surprised to meet Ronnie and Elsie who looked so much like him!
Though an utterly rural setting Marsh View is only about a mile from Aldburgh with its shopping outlets and restaurants

Our Marsh View stay
Marsh View was a very pleasant stay for my wife and I. We found a nice coffee and cake shop down in the village which was our first port of call each morning. Marsh View was well located for visiting some of the close by English Heritage recommended attractions.
We very much enjoyed our week at Marsh View.

An appreciation of Marsh View, Aldeburgh
A very well designed conversion, very well carried out, finished and decorated, very well equipped with everything one could want, and lovely little final touches, like a cake, a bottle of wine, as well as tea bags and cleaning materials and a little fruit in the bowl. Pity we couldn't use the patio on the marsh side, as it is really not useable by the owners, and look s like a lovely sun trap! Such a quiet situation, and yet the main road into the Town, so near. A map showing footpaths nearby, would have been helpful.
