We look forward to our stay in Peter and Jonathan’s beautiful home every year. It’s perfect for us from the home itself to the location, to the sunsets, to the breezes off of the bay. It just never gets old❤️.

Adorable cottage, just right for us two older sisters. Very accurate listing. Kitchen was well appointed and stocked with plenty of dishes, glasses and useful tools, spices and condiments. Excellent quality linens, comfy beds. Enjoyed many days of big beach walks and small beach swims. Beach views from cottage were sweet.

There are only wonderful things to say about our six days at this charming, lovely, property. EVERYTHING one needs (including the view) is provided. A manual was provided with house instructions, hints, location of every item one might look for, restaurants, beaches (and a beach pass), sites, etc..The decor was bright, creative and colorful. The kitchen full of anything one needs and very well-organized. Architectural details sleek and beautifully integrated. Fabulous art on the walls. Comfortable beds with luscious bedding. The entire house has been updated and expresses attention to the smallest items. Nothing was missed. Jonathan and Peter have developed a space that encourages one to sit back, relax and enjoy. We spent our days walking beaches, eating great food (and there is loads of it around), enjoying the sunsets, and, oh yeah, sampling all the ice cream we could. My best friend and I settled in and did not want to leave. Thank you to the owners for thinking of and supplying everything we could have dreamed of for a delightful stay.

I felt completely at home from the moment I walked in the door. The space is absolutely charming and it’s decorated with a wonderful selection of mid-century modern furnishings and accessories.
The cupboards are filled with everything you could possibly need for a fun and relaxing time on the ocean. West island is an amazing place to spend some quiet days. I look forward to returning to this very special home!

Relax In Style
My husband and I enjoyed this cottage immensely!! We wanted this vacation to be more relaxing, less scheduled. Sleeping in and having coffee with an ocean view, in a well styled space. This was perfect! Three sliding glass doors opened to let in the ocean breeze…softly blowing sheer white curtains. It’s the vibe we were going for. And we really appreciated the mid-century modern decor. The bed was very comfortable, and the dresser had many drawers for us to divvy up. The hosts provided ingredients for French toast in the morning, so we didn’t have to go in search of breakfast. They also had a beach umbrella and a cooler to take to the beach. Very important if you’re making a day of it. Also a nice touch, was a binder with restaurant information (including some menus) and the history of Fairhaven. My favorite amenity was the outdoor shower. There’s something therapeutic about showering among the trees. We didn’t want to leave!

This is a beautiful cottage on West Island. Completely re-modeled-very modern and clean with all the amenities. Great beds with new bathrooms that have terrific showers. The views of the water are beautiful and the sunsets spectacular. This is a lovely place to stay and we highly recommend it. Thank you Peter and Jonathan!

Just the getaway we needed!
We had a wonderful time here! From the communication prior to making our reservation through check out, Peter and Jonathan were available and helpful. This property is adorable and the views of the ocean are fantastic! We had everything we needed while there and enjoyed access to all of the surrounding beaches. We also have to say that the beds are so comfortable, which is such an amazing thing when you are there for 2 weeks!! We loved our time here and can’t wait to come back next summer! Thank you for your hospitality!

Highly Recommend
This was our second time staying at Peter and Jonathan excellent West Island home and we can’t wait to visit again. This place has it all! Great location by the beach, quiet, with an amazing ocean breeze at night. The house is super clean, well designed and decorated, and equipped with anything you could possibly need during your stay. Bring clothes and food and you’re all set. The only negative thing about this place is that you eventually have to leave. Looking forward to coming back.

Great Beach House in Fairhaven
We had such a wonderful time at this lovely beach house. It is a short distance to a beautiful sandy beach. From the house, there is a great ocean view across the street. The house was well-appointed and comfortable. We loved the modern decor. Fairhaven is a sweet town. Nice selection of restaurants. The area the beach house is in is so peaceful. We walked a lot: to the beach or through the conservation reserve. The hosts were very responsive. Thanks again for a great stay.

Fabulous Fairhaven
We had such a wonderful time at Peter and Jonathan's beautiful cottage. The space is beautifully appointed, and the layout is spacios and perfect for two couples. We loved walking to the nearby beaches for a swim, then coming back to read and cook in the well-stocked kitchen. The ice cream maker was a great touch!

West Island summer vacation!!
It was a lovely cottage across the street from the water. Beach pass to private beach was provided and much appreciated. Kitchen had everything and more. Especially appreciated milk, bread and eggs to start the morning. All in all, a wonderful experience. Thanks

Perfection!
My wife and I were looking for a quick getaway from New York City, we usually go to Cape Cod or Martha's Vineyard every summer, but this year we were looking to avoid the crowds and try something different and this house was the perfect find. The house has everything you could possibly need and more. Peter and Jonathan have great taste and have done a remarkable job with their place. Super clean, well designed, decorated and plenty of space to relax. You could walk to two beaches, ride bikes on the island, great local markets close by for anything you could possibly need. We enjoyed cooking and eating outside every night and watching the sunset from the deck. The amazing breeze coming off the beach from across the street into the house morning and night, made it hard to leave. We're definitely going to make plans to come back come back. If you're looking for a place on West Island or just for a place to chill out and relax, it will be hard to find better than this.

Hide-A-Way on the Island
It was great---the view such as the harbor, sunrise, the sunset , the animals and even the little brown bunny who enjoyed the yard.
the only thing I didn't get to do was the beach although the water view was beautiful.
Believe it or not, we older "folks" we "too busy" to hit the sand even though we checked the town beach also.
The ocean breeze was enjoyable, having grown up along the New England shores, I love the smell of the salt air and water.
As they say, "you can take the "girl" out of New England but you can"t take the New England out of the "girl"!!

West Island perfection
We come back to the Fairhaven area every year for a family reunion but this was the first time we have stayed on West Island and we just loved it. A new tradition has been born! The property is wonderful, the hosts are wonderful and very responsive and the breezes off the water made the trip perfect.

A Memorable Family Vacation
The house was extremely clean and beautifully decorated. It was equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Jonathan and Peter were very easy to communicate with. Our kids loved West Island’s beaches and enjoyed trips to the marina and general store by bike and on foot. The house was the perfect location to explore the area, with plenty of fun, family friendly day trip options a short car or ferry ride away. The ocean view and amazing sunsets were a highlight! We would definitely return!

Beautiful contemporary house with lovely water views
House was totally up to date and was the most well stocked VRBO that I have stayed in. We used this house as our base camp as we toured lower New England, taking day trips into Boston, Newport, and Provincetown to name a few. The owners were so easy to work with, will definitely come by if I’m ever in the area again.

Nicely renovated cottage!
We truly enjoyed our stay in Peter and Jonathon's very tastefully decorated cottage! It was very clean and comfortable in a tranquil setting. West Island is in a great location for day trips to Cape Cod or Martha's Vineyard, although it has a beach of it's own that is comparable to the beaches found on either of those, minus the congestion. Peter and Jonathon were very easy to work with and quick to respond to emails.
We really loved our stay and highly recommend it! We are definitely considering heading back ourselves!

Great trip
We had a wonderful stay here. The cottage was perfect size for the two of us and was beautifully furnished. It had all modern appliances and was very clean which made us feel really comfortable. The location was awesome and the sunsets were truly incredible.
