Soggiorno a Cetara

Tre giorni in luna di miele nella splendida cornice della costiera amalfitana. Abbiamo soggiornato a Cetara presso il b&b Galano. Ci ha accolti la Signora Luigina,persona squisita che non ci ha fatto mancare nulla. Apprezzato il soggiorno e il meraviglioso borgo di Cetara ottima meta per abbandonare la macchina e spostarsi con i traghetti. Vito e Alessandra

A lovely little village in which to chill after a busy day on the Amalfi Coast

Cetara is a great little village to get away from the craziness that is the rest of Amalfi Coast, but close enough to get to all the sites and towns when you want to, and Casa Galano is a good place to stay in Cetara. It is situated above the Piazza where we could watch the goings on from the balcony each morning, and easy to get down into the town itself, with access to local shops and restaurants only minutes away. The main coast road bus stop was a minute away, with the major towns on the Coast about 30-45 minutes away. The apartment was clean and comfortable.

A bit of a walk up the hill to get to the apartment from the port, but if you come in by bus, it's a minute away from the stop.

fijne kamer op goede locatie in het kleine Cetara met vissershaven en leuk strand

mooie nieuwe ruime kamer en badkamer met eigen balkon met uitzicht op het plein in het centrum van Cetara. Cetara is erg levendig maar klein en gezellig, leuk strand bij de haven, genoeg restaurants om te eten en winkeltje om boodschappen te doen.

ondanks dat de kamer niet direkt aan de weg ligt (voorkant ligt aan het plein boven restaurants), hoorde je toch de auto's op de weg bij de achter ingang rijden. het ontbijt was italiaans dus karig: koffie/thee faciliteiten prima maar eten was voorverpakte toast/croissant, sap in een pakje met rietje.

A good value and location to enjoy visiting Cetara with some minor disappointments.

Breakfast was okay. I would have liked fresh pastries from a bakery. The bathroom shower was great, one of the larger shower stalls I have used in Italy, even bigger than our flat. The water pressure was great. The decorations and furniture were beautiful, and the room was exceptionally clean. The room was bright with extremely high ceilings.

The location of the building was great, but the entry way being directly on the main road was a little precarious. Getting to from there to the street to take you to centro/downtown required you pay close attention to vehicles that might come around the corner. From the pictures, it looked like the rooms had balconies that overlooked the square, but our room was on the other side of the building, just four walls with one window at floor level looking out that the front door to enter the building, and one window 8 ft from the floor. The air flow from the air conditioner was barefly noticeable.

The room was super clean and tidy! The view is amazing!!! The location was perfect! Walking distance from restaurants. The host was very kind, and he always replied to my messages. We had an amazing time in this town. Lovely people! I extremely recommend eating in the restaurant in front ( Casa Torrente ristorante Al convento) the food is espectacular! The chef interacts with customers to recommend food! Actually, this was my favourite restaurant on my trip 😋

Our room overlooked the wonderful atmosphere of the street with local Italians gathering and enjoying conversation.

Everything was wonderful, even the back entrance out onto the main Amalfi Drive. You just had to be careful to cross the street.

Superb

Ideal location overlooking square .Very comfortable .uncluttered room with all requirements met. Bed comfortable. excellent shower and wash facilities in bathroom.Breakfast left on tray in kitchen with fresh croissant everyday.. Brilliant for access to bus service and also boats along the Amalfi coast.

We are both in our mid seventies access really only suitable for the fast and nimble as after coming front door you climbed steps to entrance gate straight on to a very busy road along the Amalfi coast.

Nice room with perfect location

Casa Galano is located in the heart of Cetara, the location could not be more spot on. The staff were nice and the room was very comfortable (the powerful A/C was higly appreciated). The B&B does not have private parking (no room for that in this narrow city) but has an arrangement with a big parking where the car is parked indoor. The room had a nice balcony, facing the main quare that was full of life in the evening. A nice place to sit and relax before going to dinner (or after). Cetara has a nice beach and also great trekking possibilities for those not so keen on laying in the sun.

Excellent location for Cetera experience!!

absolutely perfect location! Parking is easy. It’s a public parking facility, so very convenient for 20€ a day. Easy walk if you have small bags. Wonderful balcony that we really enjoyed. Staff was wonderful and friendly.

Cetara is just a magis place. Lots of great restaurants, not mant tourists, great beach.

Best position in Cetara!

We were told on arrival that Casa Galano was not available due to a "Problem". We were taken to a beautiful alternative villa 400m slightly up hill. further out of town and up about 200 steps. I have emphysema and told them I could not stay there, as I could not handle the steps nor the walk if I wanted to enjoy Cetara. Miraculously, the problem was sorved and we moved back to Casa Galano.

Local Amalfi gem

Location was close to beaches and restaurants. small but very clean room with good facilities such as air conditioning and blackout motorised blind.

We found the pillows uncomfortable.
