About this house rental

We offer a beautiful beachfront 3 bedroom holiday house where you can sit back and enjoy the magnificent views of Coobowie Bay to the lights of Edithburgh and Wind Farm. There is no road between you and the beach, just step off the front verandah to the lawn leading onto the sand. Internet provision is included, no big downloads please, (bring your Netflix and Stan account details ). House is tastefully decorated and includes modern and quality features. The master bedroom has an ensuite and sliding door to front deck. Bedroom 2 also has sliding door to front deck. Lay back in bed and have that first cup of tea staring at the ocean views and weather of the day. Grass lawns to the front for kids to play.
The house comes with fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher with quality crockery and a Nespresso Coffee Machine. The lounge room has a 75cm smart TV, Bluetooth soundbar, and Bluetooth music pod system.
Reverse Cycle Airconditioner. Ceiling Fans to Bed 1, Bed 2, and Living with electric blankets add to comfort, and panel heaters in winter.
Quality quilts and pillows are provided all you need to bring our your own sheets, pillowcases, towels, and bath mat.

The backyard is fully fenced making it safe for small children, and your pet is welcome (By Approval). Out of respect for guests with allergies and health issues pets are not allowed on beds or furniture, and we ask they be kept to the living area where possible. Please reach out to us about helping ensure any fur family is welcome, protected, and happy. We Would prefer they sleep in their own beds in the laundry or on their bed in the living room or in warm weather on the deck outside.

There is ample car parking for cars, boats, and trailers. New carport available for 2 cars.

We provide a fish cleaning sink/area (there's plenty of fish to catch in these and nearby waters).

There is a new gas bbq, Weber Kettle, and outdoor setting.

Locality

Coobowie is a 2.5-hour drive from Adelaide. Nestled between Stansbury and Edithburgh. Coobowie is the perfect holiday destination for those who wish to escape from city life. You can spend your days watching the pelicans, fishing, walking on the beach, reading or just taking in the beautiful view.

Attractions

Great fishing at your doorstep with a boat ramp and jetty 5km away at Edithburgh, protected launch facilities for larger boats. Alternative free ramp at Hickeys Road - which is an extension of Beach Road, 1.2klms away, or Wool Bay free ramp.
Tennis courts, playground, General Store, and Hotel a 10min walk. The general store (open from 8.00 am-8.00 pm) has freshly cooked chicken and an extensive takeaway menu.
Monthly outdoor markets at nearby Stansbury. (October - May)

Golf courses located at Edithburgh and Stansbury
Dine out at the many hotels and cafes nearby. Coobowie Hotel has loads of old fashion charm.
We like to support our local hotel, with great simple country food. Other Hotels in Edithburgh, Yorketown, and the Dalrymple Hotel at Stansbury.

We thoroughly enjoyed out stay, it was so quiet and peaceful. The house has all you need. Plenty of crockery, glasses and cooking utensils. The view from inside takes advantage of the wonderful vista and has a lovely comfortable feel. We were lucky to have beautiful winter weather and enjoyed sitting in the sun out the back next to the chimenea and also view side out front on the verandah. The bird life is fantastic if you like to sit back and watch them go about their business. We also spent time walking on the beach and along the coastline walking trails. A visit to the local Coobowie Hotel for lunch was also enjoyable. We'll definitely be back.

The description of this property being 'absolute beachfront' wasn't wrong. You step out of the front sliding door, walk through an easy path and you are on the beach. The views were beautiful! Well stocked kitchen with everything you need for your stay. Heater in the lounge room worked effectively, which was good because it was very cold. The tv was massive, and it was great that the dvd player played with no problems. We weren't really impressed that there was absolutely no privacy in the main living area due to no curtains or blinds. Having no curtains on the main window facing the beach, which is quite a public area, was a problem at night, as anyone could see in. I messaged the owner who replied saying the curtains were being made, but that didn't help us for our stay. Also, the skirting boards next to the dining table were hanging off when we got there. The ensuite next to the main bedroom is under construction, and will be nice when finished. We decided to sleep in the second bedroom as it was warmer and the mattress was more comfortable. I understand it's the country, but the shower pressure wasn't great, and adjusting the shower temperature was quite temperamental. The big dog next door barked a lot, which didn't really matter to us, but may frustrate some. Overall, the peace and quiet was lovely, the views sublime, and we were lucky with not having any rain. Although not perfect, the property was quite comfortable. The owner was attentive and helpful.

We recently stayed at this property , and it was an absolutely delightful experience for our family. The home itself is wonderful, providing a perfect blend of comfort and style. The highlight for us was the amazing outdoor sitting area, which offered stunning waterfront views. It quickly became our favorite spot to relax and enjoy the serene surroundings. The location is incredibly convenient, with short drives to all the essential shops and a variety of local attractions. Whether we were heading out for groceries or exploring the nearby sites, everything was easily accessible. The homeowners were also fantastic, going above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. They were friendly, responsive, and made us feel truly welcome. Overall, this holiday house in Coowobie is a gem, and we highly recommend it for anyone looking for a memorable and relaxing getaway.

Comfortable clean welcoming home with easy parking right on the beach with bedrooms and lounge areas overlooking the sea across the Bay to Edithburgh with unobscured views of wind turbines. Great for walks on the beach with Pelicans, Swans, and other bird life there daily. Just a short drive to the historic township of Edithburgh where all needed facilities are present. Guy and Julie are great hosts, available and easy to contact. The new 75-inch Samsung TV and ensuite bathroom to bedroom 1 which are in the process of being added will be excellent additions to the home. Nice location and great place to stay. It has all the facilities we needed. We enjoyed the view and having breakfast overlooking the gulf. It is also so great base to explore the Yorke Peninsula. The host is friendly and attentive to detail.
