About this house rental

The White House is slightly elevated looking over front house - The bach at Ligar Bay is a very comfortable holiday cottage with 4 bedrooms, sleeping up to 8 people. Situated opposite Ligar Bay Beach with great views out to the sea. The flat section is fenced for the safety of children and animals. Located close to Port Tarakohe to launch your boat (900m). Easy access to fish Great all day sun (8.15am-8pm in summer, and 8.15am to 5pm in winter)
Wifi available- $5 per day
Full Sky TV with most channels

Cancellation Policy

For Period 1 May to 20 December:
The Bach cancellation policy is that where cancellations are received up to 30 days prior to arrival, the deposit will be refunded. Cancellations received within the 30 day period will result in the deposit being non-refundable. Cancellations within 14 days will result in full payment unless the facility is pre-booked.

Terms and Conditions:
One nights deposit is required to secure the reservation. Balance due on key collection.

Minimum 2 night stay:
1 night stays by mutual agreements only

For Period 21 December to 30 April:
The Bach cancellation policy is that where cancellations are received up to 75 days prior to arrival, the deposit will be refunded. Cancellations received within the 75 day period will result in the deposit being non-refundable. Cancellations within 75 days will result in full payment unless the facility is pre-booked.

Terms and Conditions:
Two nights deposit is required to secure the reservation. Balance due on key collection.

Minimum 5 night stay:
Under 5 night stays by mutual agreements only. Christmas, New Years reservations minimum 12 nights

These terms and conditions override those set out as previously on this website.

Had a awesome time at ligar bay bachs. Very rainy when we went but made the most of it. The deck is a little sketchy for toddlers, has quite a large drop. The fire could do with a guard. Other than that a great place.

Was a nice house, even though it states linen is not included it was a bit of a hassle having to take our own linen. The place could have been cleaned a bit better as we found mouse poo in one of the beds which was a bit gross. Overall the house and the location was nice.

Great place for 3 generations of our family to come together for a week's stay at the beach.

Had a brilliant holiday here with young kids and extended family. So close to the beach, which was great for rock pools at low tide and swimming at high tide. Spent a lot of time on the beautiful deck and bbqing in the front garden. Would love to stay again.

Weather let us down, but not the property which was lovely. Only thing was lack of luggage racks but that's really nitpicking. It was great!

Great location, lovely house. Found that there were a few things that we expected to be provided e.g. tea, coffee and oven glove that were not. Listing said BYO linen but didnt expext that to be more than bed linen.

Nice house. A few cultural confusions. Have never experienced a listing without linen. Fortunately, got it worked out in advance. More info about garbage disposal would be helpful.

Regularly come and stay here with my family. And each time we come we hate to leave as so relaxing. The house is very warm in the winter with the use of a fire or heatpump and the new double glazed windows have a huge impact on heat retention. Look forward to another stay....thanks Garry for sharing this lovely bach.

The only downside of the property was the raised floor level from kitchen to dining lounge area did cause a few issues with stubbed toes and the odd trip especially the kids. Also a few nails up on deck were a bit high, tried to wack them with a stone … otherwise a lovely stay lovely location and house, thank you

Great property, spacious with plenty of open space within the property boundary to relax in (and play Kubb - look it up). Very well appointed with plenty of internal space to look after 5 adults and 5 children. Highly recommended. Beware of putting up a tent.

The house was very clean and with modern appliances. Beautiful view from the lounge and very short walk across the road to lovely Ligar Bay. Kids enjoyed spending their time at the beach. Plenty of space for kids to play around the house as well. Very much enjoyed our stay in Golden Bay, thank you.
