Enjoy the 14 foot ceilings, incredible mantels with gas fire places, gourmet kitchen, large front porch, and the Victorian Garden out back, and feel like Kansas City Royalty.
A grand Victorian staircase complete with Chandelier greets you in the foyer on the first floor.
As you arrive, the grand Grand Entrance welcomes you to The Historic Parlour Flat, a 3 bedroom 2 full bathroom luxury apartment. The open plan kitchen, eating and lounge area showcases a beautiful fireplace and kitchen with original plaster swag from 1887!
This is one unit in a Triplex and all units are held to a STRICT Quiet Policy after 11:00 p.m. If you are a night owl, this is NOT the place for you.
Guest access
Guests have access to the entire 2nd floor and front sitting deck.
Interaction with guests
We are available when needed but will not be at the house unless invited.
The common spaces are monitored by the NEST Cameras.

Love all the details to keep the historic feel yet updated functionality. 2nd time here and sure it won't be the last.

Within walking distance of downtown in a quiet neighborhood. Lots of space. Kitchen and bathrooms were nicely updated.

Fantastic Neighborhood, Historical Home
We greatly enjoyed our stay at this place! We loved being able to walk to restaurants and coffee shops, and it was a quick hop onto the highway. The place was full of historical details and charm. Would stay here again.

Exploring KC
I struggled with how to rate our stay. This was a lovely property, close to the places we wanted to visit with a wonderful neighborhood feel. Unfortunately, we encountered a few hiccups during our stay. While we were made aware prior to our arrival, that an ant exterminator would be coming during our stay, we were notified the night before that an electrician would be coming into the apartment on our second morning. And on our last evening, there was a party in the lower apartment. It was quite loud until 10:00 pm and since we were coming from the east coast, it was 11:00 pm to our body clocks. And while it did quiet down at 10:00 pm in observance of the house quiet hours, there was quite a bit of noise at 11:30 when party goers returned to the property. Hopefully, these incidents were an anomaly but did impact our overall stay. Unfortunately, it wasn't quite as relaxing a stay as we had hoped and as such I am not sure that we would recommend returning.

The house is great! The location is perfect!
Great house! The house is very nice inside. The beds are comfortable. When we arrive we were hungry so I got on Yelp and the top restaurants are right around the corner! We also walked into down town not a very far walk. This will be a home I return to next time I am in KC!

The space was great. Very beautiful, nice location within walking distance to many restaurants, the arts district and the train. The kitchen amenities were a little sparse for food preparation. There was just one small skillet which made it difficult to cook breakfast for a family of 5. Because the people renting out the 1st floor befriended us, we went down and borrowed their can opener. There was only a sponge in the kitchen, no dish clothes or towels. Maybe it was just us, but we had a hard time figuring out the Nest thermostat system and the dishwasher, even with 3 tech savvy teens. We wished there would have been instructions for some of the high end stuff that isn’t super straight forward.
