The open plan living room, tastefully and discreetly decorated features a fireplace and cozy sofas that open up and can accommodate one more guest! In this area you can relax and have fun watching your favourite movie on the DVD player or playing your favourite Playstation game on the 44’ flat-screen TV. Also this area provides direct access to the pool and the huge outside area that covers 1 acre and is just perfect for the younger guests to enjoy their time there. The fully equipped kitchen provides all the amenities ideal to prepare your homemade meals! Also a dining area where you can enjoy your homemade meals is next to the living room! Furthermore, there are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with two single beds, that can be joined an form a King size bed if you wish! This bedroom also offers direct access to the outside areas and pool. Additionally a family bathroom with a bathtub can be found in this area!
Loft
Additionally in the garden you can find a loft (air conditioning included), built with the same philosophy and taste as the main building, that can accommodate 4 more guests in its romantic and pastel decorated bedroom featuring a double bed. Also the sofa in the living room can be transformed into a double bed! A flat screen TV can also be found there.The loft also provides a kitchenette next to the living room area. Another bathroom with shower can also be found!

Externally, the villa is built with stone providing a classic, yet modern look. At the stone paved terrace, a wonderful private swimming pool (35 m2 and 1.10-1.80 deep) with hydro massage capacity, awaits you to offer a unique summer experience and total relaxation! A portable protective fence around the pool can be provided upon request. The pool area is equipped with sun beds and umbrellas, located in a huge space, full of trees, giving ample opportunity to enjoy the sun where it shines all summer long!
Additionally, next to the pool there is a wooden sauna room, where you can relax naturally, before entering the pool, as well as a comfortable siting area, below a shaded pergola!
Furthermore, on the other side of the pool, there’s even a private, two-seater, heated spa whirlpool tub for those who prefer to stay cool and under the shade at the same time! Spoil yourselves by using the 16 hydromassage jets, the 16 aeromassage led jets or enjoy a chromotherapy session while listening to the radio or your favourite music from your mp3 or mobile phone!
To make things even better, just besides the whirlpool there’s a lovely relaxing area, featuring a double bed! Villa and outside areas were perfect for our stay. Lots to keep 1 year old happy. Car a must yet stil close to rethmyno. Any requests were dealt with quickly. The little bakery gifts were very tasty. We requested massages which were fab. The villa was clean and bright and well equipped. All in all a very relaxing stay would recommend.

Toller Garten mit vielen Möglichkeiten
Die Villa war für uns, zwei Familien mit vier Kindern von 1-6 Jahren, ganz wunderbar und uns hat es an Nichts gefehlt! Der Garten ist einfach zauberhaft! Für uns hat es platzmäßig gerade so gepasst. Ich kann mir schwer vorstellen, dass die Unterkunft für bis zu 11 Personen passt. Wir waren vier Erwachsene und vier Kinder.
Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet, nur die Spülmaschine ist sehr klein. Es hat alles super funktioniert und war sehr sauber. Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit!

Fantastic stay
We were attending a wedding in Rethymno so decided to make a week of it with my family and my mother. The villa was very well equipped and although you need a car whilst staying in this villa (not many paths down to the town) it’s a very quick journey to get to where you need and plenty of parking in Rethymno too.
The pool was perfect for my little boy and I could barely keep him out of it.
My mum stayed in the annex so she had some space to herself so this was ideal.
Highly highly recommend staying at this villa, especially families.

A very nice place to stay especially for a family with the grandparents in the studio and the children with their parents in the main house. The host Maria reacts very quickly and is is very supportive. We really had a lot of fun. An absolute winner

Très bon séjour dans la villa, le jardin et sa piscine parfait, l arrivée avec Maria qui nous attendait à une heure tardive, les petites attentions le matin au réveil, vraiment top. La villa n est qu a 5 min de la plage. Vraiment à booker les yeux fermés. Merci à Maria😀😀😀😀

Familienurlaub mit zwei Kindern.
Wir waren eine Woche in dieser schönen Villa, es war soweit alles super. Die Gastgeber empfingen uns mit einem kleinen Schnaps zur Begrüßung, in beiden Kühlschränken waren jeweils zwei Bier kalt gestellt und reichlich Obst für die ganze Familie. Weiter hatten wir Getränke und kleine Gebäckstücke. Unsere zwei Jungs (2 und 4 Jahre) hatten eine Mänge Spaß mit den Spielsachen die vor Ort bereit gestellt wurden. Auch wir Erwachsenen kamen auf unsere Kosten beim Minigolf oder Tischtennis. Auch der Abendliche Saunagang rundete einen Perfekten Tag am Pool ab. Leider funktionierte der Jakuzzi nicht problemlos. Das Aufheizen des Wassers war leider nicht möglich. Beim Versuch die Heizung für den Jakuzzi zu starten ist leider die Sicherung im Haupthaus angesprungen und wir saßen im Dunkeln. Nachdem wir die Sicherung wieder eingeschaltet haben entschlossen wir uns den Jakuzzi nicht zu nutzen. Uns ist aufgefallen, dass er undicht ist und Wasser in die Elektrik läuft. Hier sollte nachgebessert werden, um den Jakuzzi auch nutzen zu können.
An Sonaten war aber alles wirklich perfekt.

Entspannung pur
Wir hatten einen wunderschönen erholsamen Urlaub in dieser Villa mit allem Komfort und einer sehr freundlichen Gastgeberin. Wir wurden mehrmals mit Gebäck überrascht, kleine Probleme wurden sofort gelöst und auch bei der Urlaubsgestaltung hatten wir kompetente Hilfe. Die Villa ist sehr schön gelegen. Strände, Restaurants und Rethymnos Altstadt sind in wenigen Minuten mit dem Auto erreichbar.

So much fun!
We stayed in Rethymno for 2+ weeks and had the most wonderful time. The property is nice, clean, and has a ton of comfortable sitting opportunities outside to enjoy the absolutely beautifully designed and landscaped outdoor space. The benefit of the property is that is has two fully separate living spaces, which is a nice advantage if you are traveling with a larger group or family. The drawbacks are definitely the location (if you prefer to be close to town), and so you absolutely need a car to go anywhere and can't simply walk to grab a coffee or something from the bakery. On the flip side, you do have your privacy because you are away from town. A couple things that we learned while we were there is that you have to communicate upfront with Ms. Maria about when she and/or her dad come to the property. They have to water the plants, lawn and flowers daily, so if you want to have privacy during certain times, you have to communicate that. A couple of things that were small drawbacks to the property were the cicadas and the large electricity transmission tower right by the house. The cicadas start their sound-making early in the morning and continue throughout the day/evening, so you have to be ok with that. As for the electricity transmission tower - if you are sensitive to any of that, it could possibly be a deal-breaker to choosing the property. I personally don't care but my mom is very sensitive to such things and she had a hard time with the proximity of the tower to the property. Overall we loved and enjoyed our stay and I would recommend the property while taking into considerations some of the things that were not clear from the property description.
One perk that I would recommend if you chose to stay there is the massage therapist Maria. There is a flyer in the house for her services and she comes to the property with her own massage table and all. You can reach her via WhatsApp and we truly enjoyed getting pampered with awesome and reasonably-priced massages and pedicures while we were there.

Sehr schöne Villa in sehr guter Lage
Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Maria war sehr aufmerksam und kleine Probleme wurden sofort gelöst und sie war immer schnell erreichbar und sehr zuvorkommend. Das Haus und die Umgebung waren sehr sauber.
Verschiedene Strände sind in kurzer Zeit erreichbar. Der Episkopi Beach hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Die besten Restaurants haben wir in der Altstadt in Rethymno gefunden, sehr empfehlenswert.

Amazing villa with great hospitality
The villa is simply great. We loved everything about it. Pool, jacuzzi, table tennis, minigolf, playground, everything is just like on the pictures. It is the perfect familiy & friends get-away. We spend 10 days there together with friends and our little daughter. She loved the playground and especially the swing. Its location in the hills makes it a very quiet and private get-away. No other houses nearby so you have all the nature and surrounding by yourself.
The villa is close to Rethymno (5-10min drive) so if you don't want to cook, it is an easy drive to the old town which has many nice restaurants. The beach is in similar distance. A car is however required for easy access as there is no public transport and the villa is in the hills. Moreover, the villa is a good base if you want to go hiking.
Furthermore, the great hospitality of the owners has to be mentioned. Communication with the owners was super easy and they responded very quickly. We got a nice surprise when we arrived. Moreover, whenever there was a problem, they reacted immediately. There is also a garden nearby with all kinds of fruits and vegetables (oranges, limes, lemones, pomegrenates, tomatoes, paprikas and more), all of which we were allowed to use.
Special thanks to Maria and her family for making our vacation very unforgetable. We certainly will come back!

Fantastic villa and lovely area
This was a really lovely stay in a great villa. We were a party of 9, from age 9 to adult. The outside area is really well kept, with lots of places to eat and relax. Everyone enjoyed themselves. The owners were friendly and helpful, and brought lovely treats for us to enjoy - thank you :)
The area of Rethymno is a pleasure, in particular the old town, with nice restaurants and no English breakfasts in sight :)
You definitely need a car to enjoy the area, especially in the heat.

Schöne Villa mit einem gigantischen Garten
Die Villa befindet sich an einer sehr ruhigen Lage inmitten wunderbarer Natur, nur wenige Kilometer vom Strand entfernt.
Die Villa besteht aus zwei Teilen, einen grösseren und einen kleineren Teil. Wir waren insgesamt 9 Personen, davon 6 Erwachsene und 5 Kinder zwischen 5 und 10 Jahren.
Der einzige Abzug gibt es bei der Anzahl möglicher Personen, welche in der Villa übernachten können. Im kleinen Teil gibt es ein Doppelbett und ein ausziehbares Sofa, wo nochmals zwei Personen übernachten können. Die Wohnung ist jedoch sehr klein und wenn das Bettsofa ausgezogen ist, ist nicht mehr viel Platz vorhanden. Darum würden wir im kleinen Teil 2 Personen (statt 4) angeben.
Ansonsten waren wir sehr zufrieden und die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Danke für den tollen Aufenthalt.

Super Haus mit sehr guter Betreung
Ein sehr schönes Haus mit tollen Features, wenn es Probleme gibt kümmert sich Mrs. Maria sofort um alles (an dieser Stelle lieben Gruß). Wir können das Haus nur weiter empfehlen. Die Lage ist auch sehr gut. Mit dem Auto erreicht man alles sehr schnell. Danke für eine schöne Zeit 😊.

Wunderschöne Villa mit grossem Garten (5 Minuten von der Stadtgrenze), ideal für Kinder. Pool, Minigolf, Tischtennis - unsere Kinder haben es genossen. Das Haus und der Garten sind sehr gepflegt, die Vermieter sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

We hebben een geweldig verblijf gehad! De eigenaresse (Maria) en haar vader zijn meer dan gastvrij en de villa heeft alles wat je nodig hebt en dan nog meer: een jacuzzi, een extra huis met douche en slaapkamer, midgetgolf, tafeltennis, zwembad, en dat alles op Prive terrein. In 1 woord: geweldig!

Perfect Retreat
Villa Maratho was a lovely villa ~ perfect for our family. The villa was well appointed with everything you could need to create a home from home. The outside area is possibly the villa's best feature with many different areas offering sun or shade ~ a lovely pool and grounds which were well maintained. The owners were very hospitable with gifts from home, produce from the villa's garden and treats from the local bakery. Local beaches and restaurants are only a short drive away. A very chilled out holiday.

Perfect villa, perfect location,
The property was beautiful, very modern, clean with absolutely everything we needed. The setting was perfect, peaceful and very private but only a short drive to beach, shopping and nightlife in rythymno. The grounds with the Orchards next door were so nice we ended up having barbecues and sitting in the garden most evenings. It was the perfect location for families with children or to squeeze in a larger or extended family, grandparents etc. We enjoyed the hammocks and swings in the garden and the pool was great and regularly cleaned and checked. We have already made plans to return next year. Thanks for an exceptional holiday that exceeded expectations!
