it was good apart from some issues i raised above

clean and comfortable , the staff was friendly

first i was staying in room 6 , yes it was on a main road which i understand about the noise , but i think you do need blackout curtains to stop the street light coming throught into the room , didnt sleep to well due to light mainly . i noticed the radiator in room 6 was warm as it was chilly in the night but the radiator in the hallway was very warm you could fill the heat as soon as you came out of your room , the next morning i asked to move rooms if possible due to the issues i had mentioned above the staff was very helpful and friendly so they moved me to room 2 , the room was clean and tidy but the radiator was just like room 6 warm only , soon as i stepped out of room 2 the raditor was warmer in the hall than the room .

Very good value for money, the staff were helpful and friendly, but room should have been better insulated

The walls between our room and next door were very thin. I could hear the guy next door snoring all night

Adequate stay spoilt by lack of sleep

Location was fine for what we wanted , breakfast was ok, staff were exceptionally friendly and couldn’t do enough for us , the girl who checked us in and served us breakfast was lovely,

Well, the heat in the rooms , it made it impossible to sleep and been in the room was almost unbearable , that certainly needs addressing , a shame as would put us off staying again

Wallpaper peeling off the walls. Room was so hot. Could have been cleaner. Very small bed.

I wouldn't stay again

I had been adjudicating for 12hrs and it was after 9pm by the time I got to check in. Check in was at the bar and it was very busy, once I had been given my key, I was told breakfast was at 8am. I asked if it was possible if I could have something to eat at 7.45am as I had a 20min drive to where I was adjudicating and I started at 8.30am. I was told the chef didn't start until 8.00am. I explained that I didn't want anything cooked, if it was possible to have some cereal or fruit/yoghurt as I had a 13hr day ahead. Again, I was told the chef doesn't start until 8am.and that I would have to ask the cleaner! Obviously, I was quite shocked at this, and after a very loud and noisy night, I got u and left by 7.30am.

I was there for work. Nice staff and good room. You have a TV, a table and complete bathroom.

It was a little bit cold and dinner closed a little early.

A very pleasant experience!!!

Food that evening was very good and situation very handy for our trip. Staff very friendly and rooms very nice and cosy. Very good value for money definitely.

Could do with repair of toilet seat in bathroom and some damp on outside wall in corridor of our room. Would have been good to have flannels in bathroom and one more hand towel but we managed ok without.

Perfect

The room was spotless, had everything I would expect in a hotel room, great addition was a pub serving a good selection of food and drinks.

Could have done with timings in the room such as Dinner/Breakfast

Very good

The experience I had was very good room cleaned problem with shower reported and sorted . If I'm in this area again I would stay there again also my meal was really good thanks to the chef.

Won’t be stopping here again

Not good only one person on duty and had to do everything

I’m 68 my partner is 63 but we where put on the top floor up 3 flights of very steep stairs

Bathroom needs a bit of maintenance, tiles coming away from walls and paint all cracked and peeing

Location for what we wanted. Car parking was free

When arrived shown to room which hadn't been cleaned. Bathroom was terrible as it had tiles falling off the wall, and paint peeling off walls. Breakfast was nice but no table set for us. Staff were great but trying to run things on a shoe string.

Good location for town centre. Room basic but had what you needed

Radiators off in room & bathroom even though it was zero degrees outside. Told staff when we went out for the evening & were told it would be on when we returned but it wasnt. Tired decor

Not a lot, the hotel facilities seem to be an after thought where the pub side of the business was ok

As above, hotel side of business run as after thought training of staff required.
