I spent my 40th birthday with my wife and a group of friends. The apartment is very well kept, clean and beautifully decorated.
Minutes walk from the beach, casino, and Barceloneta neighborhood.
I would definitely stay there again if given the opportunity.

It is practically right on the beach and close to everything. Double locked entry. Elevator to room. We loved our stay there. And there is even a mall underground in the courtyard out back. and a park just outside the front door.
My only suggestio9n would be to provide a booklet withy instructions on how to operate the washer/dryer in English and maybe other languages for the guests who stay there.

This property was perfect for our group of six. It had a beautiful view of the Mediterranean Sea. Its location was perfect. Close to Barceloneta Beach. Close to the Casino which had a Hop On Hop Off stop. Large grocery store right next door. The apartment was well equipped and comfortable. Communication with owner was easy. Responses to questions were immediate. Highly recommend this property.

Great location close to the beach, several restaurants and a supermarket. It was easy to get taxi rides right in front of the building. The space was nice with 6 twins and a queen so fit our party of 8 perfectly. The staircase to the upper room is a small spiral staircase so be aware of that. Wasn’t an issue for us other than getting the suitcases up there. It would have been nice to have more towels, but we just ran them down to the laundromat right by the apartment and got them washed. There is a balcony that looks out over the marina and the beach. Great place to hang out and have a coffee or beer! Overall a great place!

The place was nicely equipped. We were a 4-5 minute walk to the metro which we used frequently. Taxis were also easily hailed on the street in front if needed! The owner is very attentive and is quick to respond to any questions. Elevator lets you out at the door to the apartment on the 6th floor and the loft on the seventh floor is gigantic. Finally, the price per night we thought to be a great value.
Ours was a family vacation with my wife, two daughters in their 20's and a boyfriend and we all had plenty of privacy within the apartment and cannot wait to go back.

I was going to give the apartment five stars, but I am going to fine Ignacio one star, as on arrival at the apartment he fined us fifty Euros for arriving after 21.00, even though we HAD NOT been told about this in the contract sent before our arrival. This punishment we found to be unfair as we had struggled to get me father onto and off the plane at Gatwick after a near two hour delay that was out of our control. Therefore by the time we arrived at the apartment we were exhausted, to be fined was not the welcome we expected.
Additionally I do not think that you would expect to find nine lightbulbs missing, no plug in the kitchen sink, two beds with no bed linen, no clocks working and the hairdryer missing on arrival at a luxury apartment. These should have been checked before our arrival.
Overall, the apartment was suitable for our needs but perhaps Ignacio needs to work on his customer care.

Ignacio is a very nice guy and we had an awesome time at his place. Unfortunately the whirlpool didnt work so make sure you check with him if its working again. Aside that all was good and the location is really exceptional!

The apartment is very comfortable and practice to live in. Good place to move to the center or other places of the city. Being within a Mall is also an advantage, you have supermarket and laundry next to the apartment.We were 7 adults and 4 little childs and we enjoyed the stay.

We were 3 single adults and one couple so we used all the bedrooms on both floors. One guest was in a wheelchair and we can confirm that the flat is wheelchair friendly on the main floor. We found the flat clean and the kitchen well equipped. We chose the Blue House because of it's location and the accommodation it offered. We were not disappointed in any way with our choice. The view from the balcony is great and we often sat outside til Midnight. Although there is traffic on the main road it is a nice, cool place to sit. The traffic noise was no problem for us. The location of the Blue House is great, near the sea and the Olympic Marina is nearby where we ate most evenings - plenty of restaurants to choose from. The supermarket is next door which was great. The bus Stop is a few minutes away. All the buses are wheelchair accessible. Ignacio was great and very helpful, especially on the last day as he helped us with the Taxi arrangements - or rather with the problem with no Taxis being available due to them being on strike in the whole of Barcelona. But as it was at the end of our holiday we got to know the bus routes and so no problems taking the bus to the airport. We would book a holiday in the Blue House again on our next trip to Barcelona. Holiday Barcelona with stay in The Blue House
We stayed for 5 nights in The Blue House with 7 persons. The Blue House is a very nice apartment at a great location. From the balcony there is a great vieuw over Port Olimpico, Marina and the Mediteranian Sea. The beach is on a walking distance, 5 minutes.
I can recommend this apartment to everyone who is planning to visit the fantastic city Barcelona..

Holiday in Barcelona at the Yellow House!
I have been in Barelona many times with my friends in the past but this time the apartment we picked was a real PLUS!

A magical stay :)
This was a wonderful apartment for just my daughter and myself. So you can imagine how much room we had just for the two of us!
Fantastic location, absolutely gorgeous view, albeit a bit noisy if sleeping in the bedroom facing south, coming from the busy boulevard down below....but I got used to it. Also, we never heard any noise coming from other units in the building, probably helped by the fact that this apartment occupies the top floor at the south end of the building. With all the amenities provided, it was very functional and was just perfect for us. In my view, it sure beats staying in a small hotel room.
( the only thing that was out of order was the tub in the loft but for us it wasn't an issue as we were just using the showers anyway).
Anyway, it was great to be able to have a leisurely breakfast every morning in our own place, with the beautiful sunshine illuminating the marina and the superb beach right across (with fantastic walking and biking trails) and, after a long and exhausting day touring around gorgeous Barcelona, to come back and relax into what just felt our own home. Honestly, if I wouldn't be so anal about trying to visit everything there is to see in Barcelona, I would have been very happy to just chill out and lounge in the Blue House for a full day! Very pleasant vacation indeed.

In general the appartment is located very well: near the beach, nice view from balcony, good size for groups.
BUT the condition of this appartment is very very bad! it seems to be that it wassnt cleaned since months/ years.
it was so dirty when we reached the appartment....unbelievable that owner rebrobate this nice appartment in such a way.
unfortunatly i cannot add pictures here but let me list some examples:
1. kitchen: the furniture was dirty. not just the outside also inside the cupboards it was really dirty.
2. glasses in kitchen: we used the dishwasher several times to clean up all the glasses....without success. the dirty and the glasses/cups/dishes gets one piece.
3. the table in the living room: dirt, dirt, dirt....
4. you couldnt walk without shoes in the appartment. if you do this, then you have black feets afterwards
5. towles: light brown spots are on it
6. beds: a small blood spot on the bed sheet
7. "couch" on the balcony with a bigger brand mark on it. ok..it was turned around, but the pillows were also dirty.
8. upper floor: it smelled mysterious. nobody dare to sleep there ;)
9. whirpool in upper floor: an old towel was used for the water coock...i dont know why...i didnt checked it.
this are just some examples.
the owner is not present during the handover of the flat. just a women who cannot understand english. just spainish language. maybe this is pupose by the owner. i told her that flat is dirty during handover....she said that she will do something. but in summary she did nothing.
i also contacted owner and inform him about the dirt. he told me that flat was cleaned before. 6hours took the cleaning...i dont know which appartment was cleaned, but not this one.
he offered me to send women again to clean it...but it was waste of time for me. why should i wait and spend my holidays for this? (we just stayed 3 days)
anyhow. the best time of this appartment is over. it needs a general basic cleaning and also some new furnitures like beds or accessoires like towels, flatware, ...
i never would visit appartment again in this condition. dont trust the nice looking pictures.

A comfortable stay at the Yellow House
This review is about the Yellow House that is situated one floor below the Blue house apartment by the same rental agent Ignacio.
This is a two bedroom apartment with a wonderful sea views as well views of the marina. For a party of three there was plenty of space to sit and relax in the lounge/dining room areas or on the balcony itself with ample seating and a big plus was the manual wind-out awning to keep the morning sun out of eyes when having breakfast. Had an on-suite bathroom to the front bedroom and separate bathroom to the second room all very clean well tiled and everything works well especially the showers which were lovely and powerful. Plenty of storage space for clothing etc. Kitchen facilities were excellent with dishwasher and washing machines if needed to use.
We asked Ignacio to place WIFI in the apartment for us which he did immediately with no hassle. The apartments as mentioned with other reviews are situated next to a underground shopping complex to the rear of the apartment. Lovely reasonably priced supermarket and a few restaurants. Do try the Indian restaurant well priced with excellent tasty food.
Apartments are close to the Metro walking distance, taxi outside the apartments 29 euros to airport.
Thanks for everything Ignacio we enjoyed our stay I'm sure we will all be back to visit Barcelona again.

Great location, huge apartment
I stayed at the Blue House with my parents at the end of September for four nights. The apartment was very well located, with the beach and marina on the doorstep and a couple of great café bars right outside the apartment block. While the apartment is on the 6th floor, there is a lift that stops right outside the apartment door, which meant that there were no issues for my elderly parents. The apartment was huge inside. The balcony was standard size but provided stunning views of the ocean and marina, which looked particularly lovely at night when it was all lit up. I made the mistake of not realising that the air conditioning was switched off at the mains, so spent four nights unable to sleep due to the heat but that was my own fault for assuming that the air con wasn't working rather than checking. The apartment is showing signs of wear and tear, and the cushions on the balcony settee could really do with replacing. However, apart from these little things, the apartment is a great choice for families and groups who want to enjoy independence in a very convenient location. There are plenty of shops just outside the apartment block too, including a big supermarket and clothes shops, which adds to the convenience.

A lovely stay at the bluehouse
We were 2 families (all together 11 people) staying at the blue house for 5 nights during a vacation to spain. The apt. is in a nice building (with a locked front entrance) on the 6th floor with an elevator. It was very spacious and suited us as we were travelling with 7 kids. The kitchen was very well equiped for us to cook meals, just like at home and the dining table opened up so we could all sit around it. The view from the balcony was amazing, looking over the beach and harbor .The washing room upstairs was very usefull, even though the drier did not work (obviously a technical problem, we emailed igancio during the stay about it and he replied quickly), but with the central heating in the apt. the washing dried off quite quickly, even without the drier.
The water pressure in the shower downstairs was very low , but there are another 2 showers in the apt, so you can manage.
The apt. is in a great location- there is a big supermarket in a small shopping mall just underneath the building, it is about a 5-7 minute walk from the closest metro station and in walking distance from the beach, zoo, barcelona aquarium, and shopping mall next to it.
Across the road there are great parks for the kids to play in, also on the beach there is loads for the kids to do.
It is about a 15-20 minute taxi ride to the airport
I would highly recommend this apt. if you are travelling as a family with kids as it has all that you need and it is in a great location.

A house as blue as the Mediterranean!
What we got was exactly what Ignacio promised! We spent 6 glorious days in this beach front apartment and loved waking up to the incredible view of the pier and ocean every single morning! A few of us even made coffee and went to sit on the beach one morning because it was only a few steps away. The kitchen was very well kept with all of appliances working (and even some bonus ones hidden away in the cabinets, like the coffee machine that we LOVED having!) and it was well stocked for cooking (we stayed in one rainy evening and cooked a big feast!) Likewise, a large supermarket was not even 2 minutes from the apartment, which was so convenient upon arrival! What the bedrooms lacked in space, the living spaces made up for! There was tons of room to socialize in the common area with many people. Our only complaint about the facilities was the quality of one of the showers downstairs that was cold and had no water pressure; however, it was okay because we all ended up using the one upstairs which was great! The location was absolutely perfect as I mentioned. We were close to the beach, we walked to Las Ramblas along on the nice afternoons we had, and the metro stop was right around the corner about a 7 minute walk from the apartment. As a result, all of Barcelona was at our fingertips. Ignacio was a reliable owner who was not only willing to negotiate, and work with us but he was also very kind and helpful since we had to arrive late at night and leave early in the morning. He truly was interested in making sure that we enjoyed our stay! It was a relief to have had such a great experience as our first time renting an apartment (in a foreign country no less...we were 6 American girls vacationing while studying abroad in Italy so this was quite an adventure!) I highly recommend the Blue House, especially for big groups! You will love the space and location even in the colder months! Only 2 days we were there were good beach days, but we still felt connected to the city. Likewise, it can be a quiet area or a party area depending on what you want, the choice is yours! Several clubs are within a 5 minute walk, but being in the penthouse, you do not have to deal with any street noise! Thank you so much Ignacio! Enjoy, everyone because we surely did!
