We really enjoyed a lovely stay at the Captains Cabin, it's a beautiful little cottage (mind your head!!) in a lovely peaceful spot and yet it is only minutes walk from the centre of the very picturesque Bourton on the Water. The village is a lovely spot with lots of choices to eat and drink while enjoying the beauty of the river. The cottage itself has everything that you could want and need, it is a very well designed and well equipped small space. You couldn't ask for anything more if you are looking to enjoy a stay in the Cotswolds. We would highly recommend a visit and would love to go back.

We loved Bourton-on-the-Water. Neither myself or my friend are tall but if we were getting up stairs and missing the main beam in living area would have been troublesome. While the website said stairs were trying, it was not noted that there’s two sets, one as difficult as the other. Tho there was construction going on next door, the workmen were polite and our neighbors were delightful!

A really cozy historical cottage with all the modern amenities. And the most incredible thing is that it is so close to the commercial center of town, yet it really is amazingly quiet — the perfect blend for a countryside getaway. The host was very helpful, communicated easily and helped immediately when I had a question.

Gorgeous quaint cottage in a fabulous village, parking to the front and right in the centre, easy access to everything. The cottage was clean, cosy, warm and well presented with comfy beds. It’s a compact cottage but has everything you need for a short getaway. Logs for the wood burner and a bottle were also there on arrival, thanks
