A wonderful, relaxing stay…

Spent a fantastic 8 days here at the end of our month long stay in Sri Lanka…Beautiful house with just five rooms, stunning, immaculate grounds and a perfect pool. Anu was a great host, supported by a brilliant team for whom nothing was too much trouble. The food was great too, plentiful breakfasts and we had some wonderful Sri Lankan curries and fresh seafood in the evening…. We hired bikes to get around but they have a Tuk Tuk and are happy to ferry you down to the beach or take you to the shops. If you want to go a bit further and explore the island then Anu will arrange tailor made tours, he’s a great guy and is very knowledgeable. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting, chatting, laughing learning about the island. Thanks again Good Karma, loved our stay and can’t wait to return…

We were glad when our 7 night good came to an end and as hotel owners in uk we expect basic standard

The pool and gardens were the only things we liked

Because the pillows stank of dried sweat stain so did the mattress cover.the owners partner was also disgusted and order new pillows for all the rooms. She also asked us the send feed back list of things needed to improve the resort,which we did . There is no tv or mini fridge,no organisation,we did,nt know when breakfast or room cleaning was,because there was nothing in the room to tell us any information. Our first two days were without hot water and I think this place has potential if the owner would get his act together and upgrade the rooms and train the staff. They were friendly enough but had no training ,the food was over priced so we only had dinner there once. We love dogs and had one for 18 years ourselves,but the dogs at this resort were allowed to run free and were always pestering us at breakfast time which was annoying, there is a time and place for pets ,but these dogs also need training .Generally the rooms and en-suite need upgrading and as hotel owners ourselves we expected much more from the Good Karma Villa

Beautiful villa

The staff are amazing, we were so well looked after. We had the most relaxing time here. Anu made us feel properly at home here in this beautiful villa and went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. The food was delicious too…

I’ll be come back😁

There is a very delicious breakfast, and the portion is very large, eating very full. Here, we also tasted authentic Sri Lankan cuisine and had a wonderful experience. The environment of the hotel feels like being in a 'paradise'. How comfortable it is to wake up every day amidst the chirping of insects and birds! My daughter loves swimming pools the most and is willing to go swimming 24 hours a day. The hotel staff are very attentive and the service is of a high standard. I will definitely recommend it to my friends, strongly recommend it!

Amazing stay at a beautiful villa!!

I loved absolutely everything. Everyone working there was soooo lovely and you could tell they cared very much about you enjoying your stay! The villa it’s so beautiful and in such a peaceful place. It’s also really clean. Also you don’t have to worry about how to move around because the villa have their own tuktuks and will take you to where you want and then pick you up, all of that with very affordable prices. This was as an amazing experience in Sri Lanka and I recommended everyone to stay here if you go to Bentota!

We had a wonderful stay at Good Karma Villa. Simple well furnished rooms, good enough wi-fi to work, but if smth goes wrong with internet you can always address to the staff for fixing, still in any case being at Sri Lanka better have personal mobile phone internet. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly, amazing friendly dolmatine dogs will make you smile and will create a special mood! Territory is clean and perfect for sunbathing and having a relaxed time. Everything is super convenient outside the rooms! Swimming pool is super clean and super convenient and safe, we saw it being cleaned every morning. Strongly recommend d this place as we had a double visit to this place, one is at the very beginning of our stay and we returned to this place at the end of our trip all I’ve Sri Lanka. It is located not near seaside but once per day guys will bring you to the beach and back free of charge by tuk-tuk. All the things can be discussed with the staff to make your stay even more convenient. If you want to cook yourself it can be also discussed, we used kitchen when needed cause we stayed with 2 small kids!

I wish it was my villa 😁! What a beautiful house with an amazing garden!! Furniture and style of the villa is so beautiful. Big rooms, spacious balcony with comfortable chairs to sit outside and listen to nature. Good pool to swim in. The breakfast was lovely. Welcome was nice. Everything was well maintained and always someone was there to help us. It was a dream to be there! The only thing that needs improvement is the waterpressure. Besides that, I could live here and be happy 😊

Beautiful Villa in a lovely quiet setting. Lovely pool and great rooms with en-suite bathrooms.

We can’t find one fault with this property. Woukd highly recommend.

staff very helpful . super clean room . but a bit far from beach and restaurants. if you need quite place to stay and relax this place is the best choice.

A great place to stay if you want comfortable surroundings and a beautiful garden setting.

Breakfast: Excellent fresh fruit, curd n kithul and juice and tasty Sri Lankan omelet. Also plentiful good jam and butter. We did not try the lunch or evening meal as we ate out at other local restaurants or at the home of a local friend. The pool was very clean and refreshing to swim in. Free tuk transport to and from Bentota beach was appreciated The grounds are superb - excellent design and general layout of the garden and high quality furniture / decorations. A local dance performance was organised one evening as it was a weekend celebrating the New Year for Sri Lankans

Breakfast: Coffee was very average - it seemed to be watered down or just not strong enough. Toast was usually underdone. The dinner was a set menu and charged in US$ (25) We did not try it so we cannot comment on the quality. The room was not completely ready for us when we arrived - just a few very minor things (no soap and only one clean towel in the bathroom) but this was fixed up immediately we notified the staff. This may have been because it was a weekend that was celebrating Sri Lankan New Year and maybe the place was short of staff, but there were very few guests staying so it was a bit annoying, especially for an initial impression.

Place with good karma

We travelled across the country, and Good Karma is definitely our favourite place. Staff, food and nature around exceeded our expectations. The dog Snow who lives there is very friendly and well-mannered. The pool was cleaned daily They got cable internet and plenty of space for comfortable remote work.

A bit far from the ocean, but they provide tuk-tuk drop for free, so wasn't a problem for us

Good karma villa is better than Great

This property is heavenly. Its quaint n serene, amidst greenery. Beautiful place to relax, unwind, chill and enjoy . We were 3 families with 3 kids and had an enjoyable stay. The staff is outstanding and a special shout out to the champions who took such good care of us- sidath, anura (the chef, his expertise is simply brilliant) dulanga, kamal, mahinda and ajeth. Also a special mention of the house dog Snow who is cordial n ever loving . The owner of the property Mr. RAVI, gets into the minuetest detail and ensures your stay is as smooth as it can be. This place is a total must visit and i hope this review helps you explore the Good Karma Villa

Very good

Entire villa is neat and clean. Well maintained. Good for leisure trip. Very good swimming pool to relax. Supporting staff. We really enjoyed the time spent in villa.

Bed could have been a bit larger size. It's smaller than queen size bed. Water tap in bathroom is very slow and we did not get hot water.

The Good Karma Villa is located in a calm area with a beautiful garden. The rooms are big and very clean. The hotel manager Aruna is very helpful and he will guide you throughout your stay. The cook makes delicious curry! The tuktuk driver will bring you to the beach and back and everywhere else you want. The gardener takes care of the amazing garden and pool. Anu can organize safaris and tempel visits for you! And then there’s Spot, the friendliest dog I’ve met! I recommened this Villa to everyone! Overall experience was awesome :)
