Great location, good property, just needs some tweaks

The property was cold, and sofa wasnt very pleasant to rest on.

Extremely overpriced for the not well mentained, dirt windows, broken doorlocker and so on accomoda

We stayed 16 nights, exept of the arrival, no person was ssen anymore. We cold not return the key, since the key-code given to us was incorrect. We could mot reach the owner since he was presumeable in Holland.We pur a sheet of paper on the security lock and left the key in the postbox.

Blocked toilets, keep away if you want to enjoy your break

The toilets were blocked for 48 hours of our 62 hour stay. The host gave us access to the next door apartment toilet but that was blocked as well. In fact flushing the toilet raised the water level in our toilet. When it was eventually cleared they left it filthy, no effort to clean it at all. I spent many times cleaning the toilet and using the brush in desperation during our stay. Not ideal! The host was not prepared to offer any compensation for our misery either.

After travelling for 12 hours to discover below details, we were disappointed . Owner in Holland

No Wi-Fi in our room, email re keys sent but not received in time. We were expecting to be met and we were not. No heating for 2 nights and a thin quilt with no extra bedding. Advertised with kitchen but no oven or microwave. Best of all no proper door to en-suite , it was a panel hanging off a roller with no bottom fixing and no catch or lock, it would just roll back so no privacy! Heated towel rail didn’t work. Light by bed no socket to plug into. Breakfast advertised but no one there. The place wasn’t ready for guests. If we hadn’t managed to find some very kind neighbours up the road we would have had to sleep in the car.

Lovely location, helpful staff, enjoyable stay.

Lovely rural setting. Historic building.

Lack of a welcome pack/ basic provisions. We were not aware/ pre-warned of the distance from any supermarket or grocery store, so had to retrace our steps several km on arrival in order to procure provisions.

Understaffed and intended to “sweat” the asset to minimise investment to maximise return - a disgrac

Property setting has potential but sadly unrealised.

The property was filthy, cobwebs, dead flies and dust. Tea/coffee making facilities but no cups. One tea bag - no coffee, sugar or milk. No toiletries. Grounds unkempt and uncared for. Breakfast using old croissants (reheated!) and yesterday’s bread (possibly older) - no excuse - this is France!

Wonderful stay

Beautifully decorated apartment with plenty of room for a family of 5. The host was very friendly and extremely helpful. I would definitely recommend this property!

There is nothing that I didn’t like. Everything was wonderful.

Perfect place to stay in Normandy

This is a wonderful place to stay - everything was perfect! Room has every kind of equipment you may need. Location is quiet and with nice surroundings. Host is friendly and helpful. You can visit Caen, Le Havre, Etretat, Le Mont-Saint-Michel, Bayeux and dozen other interesting places - all in 1,5 hours drive.

Please have right expectations - these are apartments for rent. There is no breakfast, no room service and you basically stay autonomously (i loved it actually). - you have to provide 200 euro deposit in cash and pay city tax in cash as well. - if you arrive late or on weekend, there are no open grocery stores nearby - closest one is in Caen. - booking.com shows there is access to the beach - not sure why, coastline is in 3 km
