About this apartment rental

Our bright and spacious two, double bedroom apartment is located in a quiet and friendly residential square just minutes away from the picturesque Blackheath village. Located one row back from the heath and traditional English pub, The Princess of Wales, you are perfectly located to explore London and the surrounding areas in Kent. Blackheath is a popular and desirable London village with an excellent choice of restaurants, bars, shops and a farmers market on Sunday. After 7 minutes walk to the railway station you can be in Trafalgar Square and central London just 20 minutes later! As well as its closeness to Central London it is a 15 minute walk to the beautiful Greenwich Park, home to the Royal Observatory and the Queen's deer, with its panoramic views of London! Just another short walk from here is the centre of Greenwich with its historic buildings, museums, markets and boat trips on the river Thames. Greenwich Peninsula, home to the O2 arena and on the Jubilee Line, is just a short bus ride away from the village too. For corporate users we are within easy reach of the City and Docklands; London Bridge is only 15 minutes away by train and Lewisham is 5 minutes away with its connection to the Docklands Light Railway. London City Airport can be reached by taxi in 25 minutes. Our clean and cosy maisonette is well equipped with everything you need to enjoy a city stay. It has a TV and DVD, high speed wireless internet connection, washing machine, fridge-freezer and ample cooking facilities. The sleeping arrangements would suit either two couples or a family group. There is a king size bed in bedroom one (which overlooks the communal gardens) and a king size bed in bedroom two, both with egyptian bed linen. We also can provide a single chair-bed (makes a proper single bed), a fold out bed (for a younger child), a travel cot (for older babies/ toddlers) and a crib (for small babies) . All bedroom curtains have blackout linings to ensure it is not too light in the mornings! As the apartment is arranged over two floors we have stair gates if required for you to install. We also have a high chair and a range of child/ baby friendly equipment. Our kitchen and separate, spacious lounge are very comfortable for family dining and relaxation. The lounge includes a small study area and bookcase with an array of books and tour guides. Families will love this peaceful location close to London with its nearby heath, ideal for kite flying, ball games and cycle/scooter rides. Don't forget to keep your stale bread to feed the ducks and geese at the pond, a minute's walk away! There are parking spaces in the square and we are happy to provide permits at a small cost. We provide Oyster cards which you can top up and use on the trains, buses and underground to travel around London. We also have a picnic rug and balls which you can use on the heath or in Greenwich Park. Check in and out times are negotiable. (When there are back-to-back bookings check out is 11am and check in is at 3pm.) For longer stays housekeeping can be arranged at an extra cost. Our kitchen is very well equipped with a wide range of cooking equipment. We provide basics such as salt and pepper, oil and balsamic vinegar as well as washing up liquid!

We live in Canada, but my wife is from around this area, so knows it very well. We needed a property close to our family, and this one was perfect. Clean and cosy, and in a perfect location to surrounding areas, trains, buses and Greenwich Park. If the second bed ( in one of the bedrooms had been a little larger (we have 2 adult children) that would have been perfect, Other than that it was just what we were looking for and Clare was on hand to answer any questions we had. We would definitely use the accommodation again.

We have traveled to London several times and this flat is by far the cleanest and quietest place we have stayed. It is cozy, comfortable and clean. Claire was wonderful to work with and checked on us upon arrival and accommodated our early arrival time as well. Her listing does state a separate clothes dryer but there wasn’t one in the flat.

Excellent, comfortable accommodation in a great location. The flat which is very well furnished and equipped, is in a quiet area. Highly suitable for children as well as adults, it is charmingly decorated in a retro style with an incredibly helpful host. We had a most enjoyable stay and would highly recommend it and intend to use it again when visiting South East London.

Our stay was perfect. From the initial booking to the communication and organisation for our stay from Claire, And then the wonderful home that was waiting for us. It was warm welcoming spotlessly clean, comfortable and had everything we could possibly need. The location was great, we loved Blackheath and enjoyed a drink in the local pub, coffee and cake at Gail’s bakery, dinner at Zero degrees, and we used the cook shop for the night we arrived which was very convenient. The walk past the pond and across the heath and through Greenwich park was lovely. It was so easy to get around too. Great transport links. We visited Blackheath village, Greenwich village, the curry sark, the Royal observatory, the Tower of London and the Abba Arena for Abba voyage. Would love to stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay. The flat was adorable and comfortable. Easily accessible, we even came into Greenwich using the Uber boat. If you are there on a Sunday be sure to find the Farmers Market in the village

This is a lovely base from which to explore London. The heath, Greenwich Park and Blackheath Village are all nearby. Buses, trains and water taxis provide a variety of ways to get into central London. The riverside walk from Greenwich to Tower Bridge is 27,000 steps (we did it).The apartment is spotlessly clean and the retro styling is lovely. A lot of thought has gone into making visitors comfortable and Claire (owner) is on hand if you need her. Great stay thanks.
