Great Place to stay

Staff and owner....super friendily and helpful. Because the Castle is located outside of town they make sure you can order food from several reasonable restaurants. Staff are wonderful!

Access was a bit scary if you are not use to driving on narrow roads in Italy.

Zum schlafen und duschen reicht es.

Personal unfreundlich. Das Frühstück war in Begriffe aber man musste es selbst machen. Der Toast reichte nicht wir waren 6 Personen. Am zweiten morgen war gar kein Brot mehr da. Eier waren neu. Es gab nur süßes in Tüten (Kuchen Croissants ) . Der Pool war schon zu gemacht.

Im Prinzip eine gute Location, allerdings viele Mängel, die eigentlich leicht zu beheben wären.

Schwimmbad und das Ambiente ist gut, schöner Garten, Kaffee und Frühstück gibt es kostenlos, geräumig und weitläufig, das Personal zum Saubermachen war motiviert und freundlich auch die Ausstattung paßte mit den Utensilien thematisch gut zu il Castello, Parkplatz direkt neben dem Haus. Gäbe es die Mängel nicht, wäre es eine schöne location, das Haus gehört in die Hand eines leidenschaftlichen Hoteliers.

Die Ankunft war eine Katastrophe, die Wegbeschreibung ließ sich in whatsapp nicht öffnen und wir irrten in der Gegend in der Dunkelheit umher, bis uns Carrabinieri, die wir um Hilfe baten, und die uns dann zum Il Castello führten, sie sagten, selbst für sie (einheimische Polizisten) wäre es sehr schwierig Il Castello ausfindig zu machen, hinter einem Bauhof war ein Schild aufgestellt, unbeleuchtet, 40 x 60 cm groß, unbeleuchtet und hier wurde dann die Richtung gezeigt, ein weiteres Schild wies dann nach links, aber bei der nächsten Abzweigung mußt man wieder rätseln, wo das Ziel liegt, in der Dunkelheit eine wirkliche Schwierigkeit, meine Begleiterin kann perfekt italienisch, wenn jemand die Sprache nicht spricht und will in der 'Dunkelheit il Castello finden, eigentlich unmöglich. Es wurde berichtet, das Leute gebucht hätten und nicht bei Il Castello angekommen seien. Nachts übte ein Trommler gegenüber bis 22:30 Uhr und die Hunde bellten lange und kräftig, die Nachtruhe wurde oft unterbrochen, die Klimaanlage funktionierte nicht und Warmwasser war zum Duschen auch Glücksache. Die Wände waren aus Gipskarton im Innenbereich und nicht gedämmt, nachts hörte man jeden Ton von den Nachbarn. Die Whirlpools waren eigentlich unbenutzbar. In der Suite war die Klimaanlage direkt über dem Fernseher angebracht, so das das Kondenswasser direkt auf den Fernseher tropfte.

Such a wonderful place to stay with the family. The staff and owners are so nice and helpful. The pool and rooms were all very clean .

Great place to stay with a minor issues.

- swimming pool - swing - foosball - comfy beds - nice sheets -helpful staff

- quite dirty/sticky door handles/coffee machine/floor etc. - quite dirty shower - partly blocked and tilted to the left shower handle

Exceptional

Il Castello has a lovely kitchen excellently provisioned with food and drinks. There is everything and more in that kitchen. We have made ourselves a 5 star breakfast and enjoyed it in a spacious extension that serves as playroom and dinning room. Another feature we indulged in was our own Jacuzzi. It was fun for kids and later it was good for adults as well. We were on a busy schedule of visiting historical sites and art museums, and for us the rich, laid back breakfast at Castello and spa treatment nourished and rejuvenated our minds and bodies for the rest of the trip. Il Castello was a great choice and it came at great timing. We felt pampered.

simple but charming.

The rooms were elementary but very comfy still. We had to make our own breakfast, which was not a problem, but could have been announced before. They very generously allowed the use of the kitchen for cooking also at night, very nice. There was a very nice refreshing pool!

There was a lot of dust and stuff under the beds. The Wi-fi was broken so I fixed it myself. The breakfast consisted of sweet cakes and not so much else.

Nice swimming pool

The price was higher than given on the booking website - local tax. Despite the fact that on the website was written that taxes and charges ale included. Extra 3 euro per person per night. It was written to us after booking and it was non-refundable offer. It's not fair.

Nice place, friendly staff

Rooms were nice and clean, staff was friendly.

Location is a little removed from the town, wouldn’t recommend to visitors without a car. Breakfast very average, we chose to go into town instead.

Cozy and quiet place in middle of Sicily

The rooms are full of conforts. Quiet place in the green. Swimming pool. Parking. Indipendent entrance. Safety inside and outside. Recently build and nice exterior. The area for breakfast

We had a fantastic experience thanks to Angela who also gave us a great tip for dinner.

We had a little mishap with the shower which unfortunately caused some minor flooding. We were lucky that Angela who met us at the property originally, was absolutely wonderful. We couldn’t have been in better hands. She went beyond and above to fix the issue.

The location is a little misleading since the place is about 30 min from Piazza Armerina.
