Een mooie verblijfplaats in Ieper

Wij hebben vier aangename dagen doorgebracht in dit huis, het ligt op ~500m (zuid) van de Grote Markt met veel restaurants en cafés. Voor de auto was langparkeren (2 Euro per etmaal) mogelijk naast het huis in de Bukkersstraat of gratis parkeerruimte op 75m lopen langs de vestingwal op de straat "Houten Paard". Het huis zelf heeft op de begane grond een ruime woonkeuken met alle voorzieningen (en een leuk uitzicht tijdens het koken) en een badkamer met het toilet. Op de eerste verdieping is de woonkamer met TV en een ruime (slaap-) bank. Een aparte slaapkamer is op de tweede etage, de open trap daarnaartoe is vrij steil met smalle treden, dus niet voor iedereen geschikt. In de naaste omgeving zijn op loopafstand een kleine Spar buurtsupermarkt, maar ook een grote Lidl, twee bakkers en allerlei cafés en restaurants. De beroemde Menenpoort ligt op ca 700m en het grote In Flanders Field museum op ca 500m, beide voor mensen die geïnteresseerd zijn in de eerste Wereldoorlog zéér de moeite waard om te bekijken. Vanuit het huis zijn mooie wandelingen te maken over de vestingwallen. In deze 's nachts koude periode bleek de verwarming goed te voldoen en de attentie in vloeibare vorm van onze gastvrouw en -heer in de koelkast bij aankomst is zeer gewaardeerd.

Excellent accommodation for the centre of Ypres

Exceptionally clean, kitchen was well equipped. Lounge very comfortable Great location for easy access to the centre of Ypres. Parking was just beside the accommodation

The stairs were very steep, which made using the bathroom on the ground floor a bit tricky during the night. Bedroom seemed a bit bare, maybe a dressing table would have been nice?

Great apartment at the edge of Ieper city center.

A very nice apartment close to the city center. Well furnished, clean, comfortable and easy parking nearby. Perfect spot for a few days or more in the city. Easy to reach and everything you would see/do in town is within a short walk.

The stairs are steep-expected trade off for a city center space this large.

location was excellent as I know ypres quite well, property was nice clean

could of done with a toilet upstairs, as stairs might have a bit tricky if needed to go through the night , aslo in cupboard under cooker could do with a little label saying where the cutlery was kept

Excellent property in excellent location.

Clean and spacious house, excellent location. Well apointed.

Property is on three floors with steep stairs, beware if you have mobility issues. As far as I could tell the free street parking is only for 2 hours, the parking regulations seem somewhat confusing, changing from street to street, or even on the same street. However 2 Euros per day seems very reasonable if you park in the right place.

Comfortable, Stylish Home

The House was modern, stylish and very clean. Would love to come again. Stairs/steps to living room and roof bedroom very steep, so someone with mobility issues might find it a problem as house is on 3 floors. Great location to the Market Square and Menin Gate straight down the road. Free parking for 2 hrs in front of church 8 am-10 am, but if we wasn't using the car we moved car to Lidl Car park and brought it back when it was free again at 6 pm and also free all day on a Sunday. 10 mins walk to the Bakery & Lidl across the the main road The Cherry Beer is sooo nice and Ypres Burger!

Not really as dislike but felt the marble staircase could do with side panel/rails as its open down one side which could be an issue for some. Fridge has no freezer compartment , well couldn't see one so check before you buy frozen items. Beware of Mozzie's at night if the windows are open.

The house was very clean, well furnished and stocked well. The host included a nice welcoming beverage as a bonus!

Lovely hosts, nice place, very clean and comfortable.

We liked the space, the bathroom/shower were good, the kitchen was well equipped and everything was very clean. The welcome gift was also very nice!

The bedroom was a little sparsely furnished - needs a mirror and somewhere to put the suitcase to unpack. We didn't expect 3 floors - it was OK for us, and maybe we misread the details, but the stairs were very steep and would probably be difficult for some.

The house is lovely, very well located, with nearby parking. The owners are very attentive, they sent us the instructions to get the key in time and left clear instructions and recommendations in a folder (and even a welcoming present in the fridge :))

Ipres is a lovely town and the apartment was a clean convenient base, with good parking.

The apartment was very well kept with good information and a great location. Good free parking as well.

The stairs are a little daunting, particularly at night!
