Relaxing break

Fabulous location, quiet and peaceful but just a short distance to Tavistock town. Property was spotlessly clean, well furnished and easily accessible.

Great place for exploring the Dartmoor

It was the perfect place to stay, when exploring the Dartmoore. The whole place is beautiful and thoughtful decorated and equipped. We will come back !

We will come back!

Available Space in the cottage for 2 persons. Tasteful interior design, the window bays and the oak timber roof and oak beams. The location in Dartmoor, the silence, Good and comfortable bed. Well equipped kitchen

SatNav location is not straightforward. Clearer instructions would help (photographs of gate). Only 2 chairs available. It would be nice to have a few more enabling us to invite people.

Great private, self catering accommodation with lots of space. Will be staying there again.

Plenty of space for two people. Good sized kitchen. large bedroom and ensuite. Very clean property. The hosts did not intrude, but were there if needed. Located on the moor with easy car access into Tavistock.

The usual Dartmoor rain.

Lovely clean, comfortable accommodation. Very peaceful surroundings. Hosts were very helpful. Excellent shower Comfy big bed Well equipped accommodation

What a beautiful lodge!

We loved everything about the lodge. The Moors were only a 5 minute walk away. In a great location and we made the most of the beautiful weather visiting many places. It contained all kitchen utensils and much more. A delicious cake was also in the fridge as was milk. Very spacious inside with more than enough storage space. Plenty of nature to see and hear. There were sheep in a field on the doorstep. It was very secure for our dog who likes to have a wander. Fantastic! Would definitely recommend. The hosts were lovely.

No dislikes at all.

great lodge in the prefect area to explore Dartmoor

what a beautiful little lodge in stunning grounds. the lodge was well equipped. communication with host was great.

the surrounding area around the lodge could do with some TLC so that the grouds can be enjoyed more

We were very comfortable at Oak Lodge and really enjoyed our stay - very comfortable bed, good shower and very peaceful location, though just 5 mins drive to Tavistock.

it was very comfortable and a peaceful stay.

we loved the location and how it was out of the way! we also loved the size it was perfect for the two of us. it had everything we needed and the kitchen was great to cook meals and had everything we could possibly want!

only non-private part was the door not having a cover for the evenings just made it a bit less private.

Lovely Lodge

Great location for Tavistock town which was the main purpose of our trip. But also great for fab walks and countryside. Lodge was perfect... warm, clean and comfortable.

A little tricky to find especially in the dark and with heavy rain even though good directions were given...but once we found it there was no problems after.

Relaxing and peaceful - a great place to unwind and explore Dartmoor from.

We’ll appointed and equipped and happy to accommodate our dogs. Quiet location within a five minute walk of Whitchurch Common on Dartmoor’s edge. The dogs loved this. Hosts were excellent at communicating with us.

A beautiful location and accommodation to explore the Dartmoor hills

The property was set in a beautiful location with beautiful rooms. Very clean and had all the necessary necessities available when we arrived. The owners were lovely and made sure we had everything we needed.

The lodge was very comfortable and homely, all mod cons , very bright and modern. The hosts were helpful and friendly and there if needed. very quiet location and perfect for exploring Dartmoor

Fantastic property, lovely hosts, ideally located. Will definitely be booking again!

Lovely and clean, all mod cons but with a lovely homely feel. Naomi and Brian were fantastic and although they are right next door you wouldn’t have known they were there, unless you needed them. The property itself is stunning and finished to a very high standard.

The entrance gate has a rather high lump of concrete to keep gates in place. When we drove in it hit the underside of our car and our car isn’t particularly low. We worked out if you enter to the right of the opening you were fine so didn’t put a damper on our stay. Also we felt that the main door could do with a blind as all other windows have them and we didn’t feel fully private.
