Beautiful holiday home in stunning location with wonderful hosts

This is quite possibly the best holiday home we've stayed in. Theo, Poppy and Ioannis made us feel so welcome, and brought us delicious pastries and cakes and wonderful home made moussaka. The location is absolutely stunning, right on the sea looking over to the hills opposite, and having the pedaloe to use was a bonus. The house is so well equipped, we didn't really need to bring anything with us, and we were encouraged to use the delicious vegetables growing in the garden. We had a wonderful holiday and very much hope to return.

Perfect house to relax in by the sea.

We loved the location of the house which was right on the beach. We were surprised and bemused on arrival to have to drive onto the beach to reach the house itself, but this turned out to be no difficulty at all. In fact it was really cool. We were met by Theo and his lovely mum. They made us so very welcome. The house and garden is very pretty and well kept. There is a vegetable patch and our hosts kindly said we were welcome to pick tomatoes, aubergines and other produce etc to use whilst there. The fridge was generously filled with provisions for us, and the house was extremely clean and comfortable. The garden has tables for plein air dining, a car port, a swing and hammock, and also a pedalo which we were kindly allowed to use. The house had everything you needed to be comfortable. Our hosts were extremely helpful and friendly , and advised us about visiting Volos and sampling the local seafood . It is so beautiful to look out to the sea. Swimming was very good although it is quite rocky underfoot. The water is wonderful. The house is very well appointed and is located within easy walking distance of a couple of bars and taverns for dining out. Volos is a short drive away and there is an excellent taxi service to take you to Volos to try tsipouradiko (highly recommended). We could not have asked for better hosts or place to stay.

It was a little tricky to find the correct route to the house from the main road. There is a Fruit and Veg business and the turn off is a narrow road to the east side of this . Once you find it it is easy, but at the end of the road you are facing the sea and you take a sharp right 90 degrees and the house is just a short distance from there on the right on the shore.

Exceptional

Perfection!! Traditional house on the Beach, with a two bed rooms. Shiny clean and well equipped. Beautiful garden with a self grown vegetables. The sunsets from the outside doors are breathtaking. But above all our host outstanding hospitality leave us speechless. We were spoiled with a traditional dishes and sweets. Additionally she filled for us the fridge to make us comfortable. Hope to visit here again. Highly recommended!!

Wonderful

The best booking.com place we have ever had since 15 years we started to travel. We spent seven happiest days in our life, we would prefer to stay seven years! We have never seen so marvellous and so generous hosts, now we miss them as if we belonged to their family. The best equipped house we met, everything is there and much more – what the people said in previous comments is absolutely true: fridge and table full of local products, vegetables, fruits, cheeses, juices, goodies, etc. are waiting for the guests. Fantastic wi-fi, very strong, wonderful sleep on the new mattress, such a nice and well cared garden and the sea at a few meters, very good swimming, transparent waters, quite ofen calm, twenty first meters not deep, so ideal for kids. As other guests say, 10/10 is not sufficient to express our enthusiasm. Very highly recommended place and don't forget to open your heart when you go there, Popi's and Yannis hearts are waiting for you.

The place to stay in Platanidia

This place was above our highest expectations. The house has everything you need and more. We enjoyed swimming in the sea that is 3 meters away from the house, using the pedal boat to admire the surroundings and playing with the cat( great personality ). The cherry on the cake were the hosts - they are warm people, very hospitalicious. Miss Poppi surprised us with all kind of goodies, her husband provided us with fishing rods to enjoy a little bit of marine activities. The communication with their son and daughter was great. We would definitely return to this place in the future. Many thanks to the family!

Exceptional

We enjoyed our stay very much! The hosts were extremely kind and welcoming, gifting us cookies and all sorts of goods once we arrived. During our stay we had fresh tomatoes and peppers growing in the garden. The house was very clean and well put together. As far as the location, we couldn't have been closer to the beach.

Sweet peaceful house on n the sea

- the people were very friendly, cared for us much, even made us some homemade cooking - the house and the garden is absolutely beautiful, peaceful and calming - the area is quiet and without any tourists around, so you won't be bothered by anyone while there - the WiFi is good - we had to do some work there and didn't have any issues with that - the kitchen has everything you will need (I would add a big kitchen knife and a peeler though) - the garden has some fresh fruits and vegetables - the entire atmosphere and ambient is of peace and you can relax completely while staying there and waking up in the morning to the sound and view of the sea is priceless - the water pedal boat was a very good experience

- sometimes in the morning there were noises from the sea, with the windows trembling at times - I assume it was from big ships passing or some kind of military planes/helicopters - the beach in front of the house, while very peaceful and calm, is actually just a stripe of rocks with sea urchins in the water, so water shoes are advisable - make sure to bring a mosquito repellent, because there are a lot of them in the area

Totally recommend!

Absolutely amazing! It felt like home and it was really comfortable. The house is situated right in front of the sea with a great porch and sea view. Yannis and Popi are very friendly hosts that will surprise you with home made produce that will make you feel the spirit of Greece. If you are looking for some sea adventures, the water bicycle will give you great opportunities to see dolphins and have fun in the water. There are also two bikes available and you can easily go to Agria by bike and eat at one of the local taverns right by the sea. There is a brand new barbecue in front of the house should you want to stay in and enjoy nothing but the sea and calmness the house provides. In terms of equipment we missed nothing. Towels, all kind of kitchen utensils, hair dryer, hand mixer, coffee machine, microwave, you name it. There was also a really nice 'help' set with olive oil, coffee, tea, jam, etc. There are two rooms. One of them is bigger with direct access to the porch and we enjoyed the sound of the sea at night (there are mosquito nets on all doors and windows). A great place with great hosts. We received more than we expected. Strongly recommend!

Exceptional

Very well equpiped the house with whatever is necessary to have a nice vacantion. A lot a flowers and good and fresh vegetables offered by the host from the garden. Very nice and warm hospitality from the host

The best beach apartment ever

We had excellent time in this apartment, we didn’t want to leave it! It is so close to the sea, you actually park your car two meter from the water. It’s clean, with amazing garden. The yellow pedal boat worked non-stop for us. A very unique place. I will come back.

Papi and Yanis host us like their best friends we really felt at home. They are amazing funny and hot people. We miss them...
