About this bed and breakfast
Under the Gondola Guest Suites is located just under the gondola on Ski Trail Lane. Our heated, back staircase leads you down from the house to only cross the street and ski/hike/bike out to the base of the mountain. Ski/hike/bike-in is just as simple. We are dog and kid friendly. (sorry, no cats) THIS IS A NON-SMOKING HOUSE with wireless internet throughout. There is a laundry room on site for our guests use. Our Sleeping Giant Suite is cozy with beautiful views of the Gondola floating by and Sleeping Giant beyond. The dining table seats 4, with a kitchen area complete with coffee maker, refrigerator and dishwasher, but no oven/stove. There is a large gas grill outside on the covered balcony , that has a stove burner attached, for additional cooking options. Pots & pans as well as grill utensils are provided. The living area has flat screen TV and wall mounted fireplace. With a queen bed in the bedroom and a pull out queen sofa bed in the living room, this is a great option for a family of 3 or 4.

The location is excellent with easy access to the ski slopes and the base area. Our suite was comfortable and very clean. Robin, the owner, is kind and welcoming and had thought of everything we would need, right down to water and food bowls for our dog. We had a wonderful time and hope to come back again.

I have stayed at Under The Gondola twice and I will definitely return. I stayed in Sleeping Giant. It is a simple one bedroom with a pull out couch if needed. The unit is very clean and well furnished. Everything you need. There is a nice balcony with a grill. The location is fantastic. You can walk to the Ski Village and you can drive to town 5-10 minutes away. Robin is a fantastic host who makes sure you are satisfied and have everything you need. She is very responsive and kind. The whole experience was simply elegant. I will be back.

Our family had a great time here. Very comfy and the location was perfect with quick access to the slopes. Awesome that they allow pets. Hosts were very responsive (although did not need much :)). Only suggestion would be black out curtains in the living area for our kids who were sleeping on the pull out couch. Definitely will come back and highly recommend. Thanks Robin!

We stayed in the Sleeping Giant unit and loved waking up to the gondolas spinning! It’s a 2 minute walk to the groomed run and the accommodations were clean, comfortable, and charming. Robin was a terrific host and was very helpful throughout our stay. Will absolutely be returning!

Had a great 2 night stay at Sleeping Giant suite over Labor Day weekend. Loved the location. Check in/out was simple. No stove or hot plate & no hair dryer but those were easily worked around. Would stay again!

My husband and I shared the bedroom and sister-in-law slept on the comfy couch. We had plenty of space to work remotely and relax. The patio has a wonderful view of the Sleeping Giant and Emerald Mountain. Access to the Gondola and Steamboat Ski area is right out the gate across the street. Robin's home is immaculate and check-in was a breeze. She was easy to communicate with and was very responsive when we had questions. Our dog had a great time. The patio is gated and she enjoyed sleeping out there and basking in the sun. The unit doesn't have a stove, but the grill has a burner for cooking which is great! We would definitely book with Robin again!! Thank you!

We always love coming to Steamboat. This condo was a perfect location, within walking distance to the Gondola and the many restaurants at the mountain base. The accomodations were comfortable. We did not have a stove or oven but we like to eat out while in Steamboat so no problems there. The hosts were friendly and very accessible.

Excellent Property!
This is a great property. My husband and myself stayed with our 25 lb Labradoodle and it was a wonderful experience. Robin and John made everything easy. Each suite has its own parking space close to the building and our suite had everything you might need. We plan to book this for next ski season.

Very Nice Stay and Pet Friendly
This was a great place to stay in Steamboat, in a great location. Robin was a wonderful hostess that communicated well. Perfect for two people and a pet. Definition of ski in/out varies widely. In this case, once we got outside we had to walk across the street and into a parking lot (not a long walk). After that, a ski off the lot onto a cat track, then poling to the run to get to the gondola. On the way back, ski onto the cat track, some poling and then a small incline to walk up to the parking lot which is a bit challenging. All in all, a great stay, just don't expect to strap on your skis or board out the door. About .2 miles down the hill to the bus stop, very convenient. Would stay here again.

Perfect Dog friendly place to stay in Steamboat
We just returned from a long Labor Day weekend vacation where we stayed at Robin’s beautiful property in the Emerald Suite. Robin was very communicative around check in and stopped in to say hi and provide us with cozy blankets one evening while we were enjoying the outdoor fireplace. The place is well acquainted with all the necessities, has an enclosed yard for the dogs, and the property is in a central location, very close to the resort and only a short drive from town. Definitely a great place to stay in Steamboat and we highly recommend!

Wonderfully outfitted and comfortable apartment in a quiet spot in town, but still in walking distance or a quick drive of dining options and hikes. We appreciated all the dog friendly features (doggy gate on the patio, dog bags and dispenser, and two water bowls!) so much! We will certainly be back!

This was the second summer staying at the property. It is located close to everything but off the beaten path so quiet and peaceful. North-facing units have sunset views. Our pooch also found it very peaceful. Definitely recommended!

Also, less importantly, the yard was shared with another family’s two dogs and our dogs didn’t always get along. The other family kept closing my dog into our balcony, against my wishes, as if only they were allowed access to the yard, though the yard is a large reason I paid to stay here. This was frustrating! Lastly, why was there a towel in the gap of my door leading into the main house? I picked it up only to find it reapplied later. Weird.
