The cabin was clean and exactly as stated. It is small but we knew that. Fine for 2 people. We enjoy the peace and quiet of Townsend. Some places can be a long curvy drive down and up the hill but once you find this cabin, it’s in a great location. Hope to return.

This was the perfect place for a weekend getaway for our 3 year anniversary! The place was clean and the location was wonderful. Townsend was a quiet, friendly place with great restaurants! We highly recommend and will probably be back!

We've always stayed at the green door but decided to give the red door a try. It did not disappoint at all! We loved the walk in shower and the covered area for the hot tub. I will say I'm partial to the green door, but I will definitely recommend this cabin to anyone. I also see myself booking this cabin again! As always, thanks for an excellent trip.

Stayed here over the Christmas holidays and what a wonderful cabin ! Perfect, secluded and convenient location . Clean and had all the needed furnishings to complement the stay. Definitely will be returning next year !

This cabin was PERFECT for us! We loved everything being in one open area. The cabin was spotless! The shower was very nice. Back porch hot tub was clean and ready to use. It has was so relaxing to soak as the rain fell outside and we were under cover. The bed was high and comfortable! We could not think of one single thing we would change. We never left the whole entire weekend and we are already talking about booking it for our anniversary next year!

Cozy secluded cabin with all the amenities you'd need for a weekend getaway. No issues with any of the property, and it was convenient to a lot of activities.

We love Townsend and the property was perfectly located. We were close to everything. The cabin was cozy and private We really enjoy it. This was a much needed alone time vacation for my husband and I and we did some cooking and relaxing. I Received the check in itinerary from the owner. That made it even more welcoming I would definitely stay again the cabin was excellent!

Wonderful secluded cabin with everything needed for a romantic getaway close to all in Townsend and the Smoky Mountains Park. Hot tub on back deck was wonderful and would be even more so if some type of barrier/wire fence around deck railing to prevent unexpected intruders(bears) from dropping in unexpectedly from atop the wooded ridge it bumps up against. This did not happen but was a constant fear while on back deck.

This quaint cabin had all the amenities. Nice to have a hot tub after a day of hiking. Townsend is a great low key place to stay and close to one of the Smoky Mountain National Park entrances.

This cabin was perfect for our honeymoon in the Smokies. Surrounded by nature yet close to people and adventures. Even though there are other cabins on the property, you are tucked away with trees separating you. The host was very friendly and easy to communicate with. Their property is well maintained and clean. We will definitely be coming back!

We loved this cabin! It was our first time not staying in the Gatlinburg area and we are so glad we didn't. We did not miss the traffic or congestion. This was a great location. Less than 5 minutes from the entrance of the Smokies. The cabin was very clean and nicely decorated. Loved the rocking chairs on the front porch. The hot tub was a nice treat after a day of hiking :) Fire pit was an added bonus. Even with 2 other cabins near us, we still felt like we had privacy. We would definitely stay here again.

The Red Door Cabin worked out very well for us. VERY easy to get in and out of the Park. A Grocery and other food options are only 5 minutes or less. Since it was Dark when we arrived it was not easy to find. Some additional address signage at the top of the drive would be helpful to mark the location. But, after finding our way the 1st night everything else worked out great. Would not hesitate to stay again or recommend for others !

This was the perfect cabin for our trip to the Smokies for our wedding weekend. Small cabin with an open concept that gave us everything we needed. While it’s situated on a secluded drive with 2 other cabins close by, we didn’t feel as though we didn’t have privacy thanks to the small tree lines in between each cabin. The hot tub on the back porch was great for relaxing after long days. When we come back to the Smokies, this will be the cabin we stay in again. It was absolutely perfect!

It was more than adequate for our needs. We were able to navigate in and around east/central TN very easily.People, lots to do and see in TN. Try Five Oaks Farm Kitchen in Pigeon Forge for breakfast. If you have to go to the local hospital (Blount Memorial) like my husband did when he cut his hand, the staff was great to deal with.

Great little cabin to stay at for a trip into the Smokey Mountains. Lots of privacy, comfy bed, nice bathroom, and the hot tub and fire pit are nice extras to relax after a long day exploring! A very comprehensive guest book was there describing places to eat, visit, etc… Would definitely stay here again!

Anthony was great with his promptness for questions and answers, the cabin was beautiful inside and out. We enjoyed our stay and hope to be back very soon. It was nice to be close to the amenities of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, but in a quiet little town. Highly recommend for you to stay with the Painted Door Cabins, especially the Red Door, very private and relaxing!

We had a relaxing stay in Red Door cabin. It's perfect for a couple. We enjoyed the fire pit each evening and used the hot tub multiple times. The cabin was very clean and plenty spacious for two people. The kitchen had everything we needed. GSMNP was very close. Cades Cove is close and beautiful. The Abrams Falls trail was fantastic and we enjoyed a picnic lunch by the waterfalls. We had our last night's dinner at Trailhead Steak and Trout which I would recommend. There are a few others cabins on the property, all of which were vacant during out stay. I do think they are spread out enough to feel pretty private. All in all we enjoyed the property and our time on the Peaceful Side.

Great place to be, out of the craziness that is Pigeon Forge and crowdedness that is Gatlinburg. Access to the Great Smokey Mountain National park is fine. Trailhead Steak and Trout restaurant is perfect. The cabin was great, warm and clean. Everything worked, perfect. There is something special about sitting in a hot tub and watching the snow come down.

I couldn’t wait to write this review! Lol this place was amazing! I loved it so much, I didn’t want to leave. My husband and I spent a romantic weekend away for my birthday. The cabin was immaculate. Very clean! We passed the road up once, but it wasn’t hard to find after back tracking. It’s far enough out from the city so you feel secluded but it’s still close to pigeon forge & all that. The hot tub was in fully working condition (which is rare these days) and clean. I will definitely be booking again next year!

This was such a lovely stay. The property was better than I expected. It's a studio but it's really more than spacious enough for 2 people. It had everything we needed as well. Well insulated, and the fireplace was a nice touch. We stayed warm during some cold November days. We had no issues at all. The cabin lost power one morning at 5am but within 20 mins it was back on. I informed the owner about it and the response was within seconds. Communication was fantastic! The location was great too. Close to the main road, and there were neighbors nearby but it was still very private, quiet, and secluded. Great value as well. Would definitely stay here again.
