next time will get a place that does not have to many steps. My husband climbed that stairs to get front door open. I walked up the hill to go in back door. My husband is 75 and I am 73. We both have problems when we have to walk far places. We just relaxed around the cabin and other times we went out to eat. We ate at the cabin mostly at lunch sometimes supper to. The problem I had with the tub it was slippery when I got in
to take a shower and no safety bars to hold on to. I got out of the tub and just washed off when I was there since having trouble with the tub. You just need a walk in shower. Other than that it was a nice play to stay.

Visiting from FL, it was the perfect place for my granddaughter and I. Morning coffee on the front porch, winding down in the hot tub after hiking through the smokies. Definitely would stay here again.

The cabin was very nice. It was nice and peaceful. I highly recommend if you want to stay away from the hustle and bustle from Pigeon Forge.

We went to Tennessee to explore the Smoky Mountains. The plan was to stay in Gatlinburg, but upon arriving, we realized it was more touristy than we realized. I searched and found this little gem, and we could not have been happier. It was tucked away in the woods but very close to the quant town of Townsend and the Smokies. The cabin had everything we needed. The covered back porch with grill and hot tub was utilized often! The bed was comfy, with plenty of blankets & pillows (they were a little flat, so I was happy I traveled with my own!)
Overall, we loved it all and plan to come back!

Yellow door was perfect in every way. My husband and I love Townsend and were so excited to find this cabin. We have stayed in many cabins in this area, for years. Yellow door is by far one of the best. Very clean, up to date, everything was in working order, had everything we needed and more. The porch swing was a favorite for me! We will be back!

Friends and myself really enjoyed the yellow door cabin! It was super clean and everything as described. There are woods behind the cabin, and plenty of space around the cabin. It was very hot, so we didn't use the fire pit out front. I'd highly recommend this cabin to others!

This was our first time staying here and it was a quiet place. We noticed the fitted sheet was on inside out so that kinda made us wonder, why?!? The only issue we had was with the hot tub. It took overnight for it to warm up. Once it did it was great! The bathtub didn’t drain very well. Definitely recommend the Master burger down the road for awesome ice cream!

We loved the cabin and location! The only issue was the lawn crew cutting the grass prior to 8 am which woke us up. Then while sitting in the living room, a guy was right at the door on the back deck with the blower which was pretty awkward. Overall, we would come back…the cabin was perfect.

The Yellow door cabin is a great place to stay if you are in the Townsend area. The location is central to so many activities. The bed is comfortable, towel were fluffy and the cabin was stocked very well. We really enjoyed having a fire in the outdoor fire pit and the jacuzzi was nice at the end of the day!

The property was clean and comfortable! It was easy to get to and is in a great location. Close to the park and not far to Pidgeon Fordge and Gatlinberg. It sits in a beautiful spot and we loved sitting on the front porch and just watching and listening to nature. The hot tub didn't hurt our feelings either.

Absolutely loved everything about this cabin! The location was fantastic with easy access to GSMNP. Townsend was a great fit for a quieter and less hectic getaway. We loved the hot tub and sitting on the front porch. The cabin was well stocked and extremely clean. Rental and check-in process were easy. Three of us, older fly-fishermen, were delighted with the cleanliness, proximity to Townsend and the Smokies, and with the amenities of this cabin retreat. This was a cozy place that kept us warm, had all we needed to make our stay enjoyable. The beds were comfortable (we each had one), the kitchen well equipped, WiFi was perfect, water for showers and kitchen was hot when needed, there was plenty of chairs and places to relax (and even tie a fly), the grill worked great, the hot tub was sooo relaxing, and the fire place was amazing at how well it worked. The instructions from the host were well laid out, and he was easy to contact with a quick turn around for questions. I also appreciated the security system/door locking mechanisms on the place. If I were going to build a cabin, I would model it after this one. I look forward to returning in the future.

A few things could be done to improve the experience.
- there is no light at the bottom of the stairs outside. The porch light doesn’t reach that area. The walk is uneven. A light aimed at that area would be a safety improvement.
There are no closets. A few coat hooks would help: two at the front door (behind the door), a couple more in the bedroom also behind the door.

Our cabin was a perfect fit for us. Quiet and private, but not too isolated. Near a grocery store and ice cream shop, but still deep in the woods. Our cabin was so clean with lots of towels, dishes, wine glasses and good pillows. The hot tub was set to a perfect temperature upon arrival. Townsend is a great place to stay to visit the Smokey Mountains having its own entrance and no crowds.
