Make your next visit to Martha's Vineyard everything you hope for by staying in this charming two-level corner townhouse close to the beach! Not only will you have plenty of room for everyone to spread out, but you'll also enjoy access to a shared pool, deck, and Har-Tru clay tennis courts.
At Island Inn on Martha's Vineyard, near Oak Bluffs, guests can make use of a shared grilling and picnic area, laundry facilities, free WiFi, and a golf course nearby. A half-mile away lies the beach, and there are a number of restaurants and shops to discover a couple miles north, in town.
You'll be greeted by a calm, wooden interior, where you'll relax easily on the furniture or around the dining table. A newly renovated, fully equipped kitchen with breakfast bar is great for making home-cooked meals and then sharing some laughs with conversation or a card game. The kitchen includes silverware, plates, cups, cooking pans, and utensils. The shared pool and on-site Har-Tru clay tennis courts are an excellent way to get some exercise, and the cable TV is nice for winding down after a long day. An additional twin cot and a crib are available for those traveling with little ones.
Other amenities include shared washers/dryers, a picnic and barbecue area, as well as a firepit area. Tennis courts, plus racquets, and ball rentals are available at the Pro Shop. Tennis is available from May 15th through October. The seasonal pool is guaranteed to be open from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. There is also a lovely on-site restaurant that is unaffiliated with the Island Inn.

The Island In is my favorite place to stay on MV. It’s a little over a mile outside of town, which makes it a quick walk or drive when you want to go to Oak Bluffs. I’ve been staying here for years. Can’t say enough good things about it.

We have stayed here twice now and have enjoyed it both times. There is good green space and a nice pool. The convenience of having the restaurant next door makes to go food a breeze. The rooms are clean and comfortable with plenty of space. Being close to beaches is good too. All in all a good place to stay with your family.

My wife and I have three boys under 9 and we had an amazing stay at the Island Inn. The staff was wonderful and the property was very family friendly. Our room had enough space for all 5 of us and having a kitchen on island was huge for us. We look forward to staying again and bringing our bikes because the location is perfect for taking a short ride to and from the Inn.

Spent a long weekend for a celebration of life. Great location! Very clean and perfect for my husband and our two kids 18 and 21.

We stayed in the large Townhome building and it was horribly noisy. The connected walls have no insulation and it was like the other people were in the room with us.

Loved our unit 41! Perfect fit our family. The pool was great as well as the grounds with plenty of room to visit with other family during the day. Very clean . The staff was attentive .

My husband, son and I were happily surprised as soon as we arrived at the Island Inn office. Tony was super courteous and helpful, as was Chelsea. Unit 41G was so much nicer than we expected. The unit is decorated with care---the owner clearly has great taste and carefully thought out how to make the unit feel vacationey but homey. The beds are so comfortable, the showers--especially the downstairs shower--is wonderful with great water pressure, the living room is cozy and the upstairs loft bedroom is impressive. The kitchen has very good quality cabinetry and all of the utensils you'll need. The owner thought of everything! We will definitely be back-thank you for providing us with a memorable stay in Martha's Vineyard!

This place was fantastic for our 2 night bachelorette stay. Nomans is a stones throw away and the food, drinks, atmosphere were great. Nomans was more family friendly so the perfect spot for us to have dinner and then head to Edgartown for the evening. We used a taxi for transportation most places but did walk to the Oak Bluffs ferry area which was about a 20 minute walk - easy walk.
It had all you need for your stay - only thing I couldn't find were the pot holders to take something out of the oven so I used a dish towel.
This place was so clean and so comfortable. There was an extra bed folded up and ready for us without having to ask. The spiral staircase was fun - just be aware it's narrow so taking large suitcases may need some patience and strength. I look forward to coming back with my family or for another girls weekend.

Reviews were correct...you can hear every word from guests below. I can’t imagine what we sounded like walking around. The accommodations were clean/cozy. The living room lighting needs upgrading (gloomy) as you cannot open curtain since all guests share deck off sliding door. April was nice (even tho we were not allowed to rent tennis courts ($18/person)). The restaurant is not open in April so no noise from cars, music etc. we had the end unit so beautiful views from our bedroom of the ocean. Best part, close to everything-beaches, bike trail, parks, restaurants, shops. Will stay again

Great place - two small suggestions
We arrived after the Inn’s office was closed. Had called ahead to get the code to access the unit. However, they did not tell us where it was located on the property. It was 10:30pm and dark we didn’t know which building was where the unit was. There are quite a few different stand alone buildings there and at night it wasn’t that easy to figure out which one was ours. They also could have told us how to lock the door from the outside when leaving the unit. We didn’t know how to lock the door using the control pad. After some time, one of my kids figured out that you press the # button and it locks. Would suggest to include this in their instructions.

This was a perfect home base for our family of 4 (two teen boys) during a 3-night April vacation in MV. We saw the whole island from here, and cooked in the kitchen 2 dinners and a pancake b'fast. Loved the direct access to biking along State Beach. Easily dropped into downtown Oak Bluffs for two take-out dinners too.
Cleanliness was fantastic. Whole place smelled clean and fresh and was in excellent condition. Mini dishwasher worked well for all dishes except big cookware. Both showers were good.
We really liked being able to see the ocean from the windows in the master bedroom. And could listen to the peepers in the pond nearby. Such a nice room up there! The kids were jealous but they liked their room too.
I forgot to pack a bike lock, but we had enough room in the kids' bedroom to put 4 bikes in the corner. The inn has sheltered bike racks, which is great if I had remembered a chain lock.
Kitchen is much smaller than it appears in photos, because the appliances are all miniature: stove, microwave, fridge, dishwasher. But they served our purposes fine. Managed to fit a 12" fry pan onto the burners well enough to cook on. Microwave fit a dinner plate OK. Fridge held 3 days of perishables.
We were always happy to return "home" to this pleasant room after exploring MV from tip-to-tip. And the drive along State Beach twice a day was always a treat.
Constructive criticism: Would have been nice to have a DVD player and/or streaming service. We ended up watching a movie on the laptop instead of the TV. Also the kitchen needs hot pads.
Only con: I wish there was closer parking to use when unloading and loading our luggage and supplies.

My family and I enjoyed our vacation experience at the Island Inn. The house was cleaned and ready to receive us as guests. I would love to stay at Island Inn when I return to Martha’s Vineyard.

Coastal, cozy, and ideal for cyclists.
This property has an ideal location centered between Oak Bluffs and Edgartown, within walking distance to the iconic beach road. Great for biking, swimming, and exploring nearby sites. The rental unit, while beautiful inside, is part of Island Inn, which could have been disclosed in the listing; we expected more privacy than we received. There's a shared balcony between the units. Walls are thin and not all patrons followed the 10 pm quiet rule that is posted. The pool was too crowded at times.(15 ppl maximum was requested by management due to Covid but not followed so we never used the pool.) Inside the loft master bedroom is cozy and spacious with pleasant views. To get to the loft there is a winding staircase so be advised of that. The beachy, charming decor made it a pleasant space to relax and recharge. Very comfortable beds! If you like to cook your own meals, the kitchen is fully stocked with the exception of salt & pepper, sponges, and cleaning supplies (for counters, etc.) You can request more towels and paper supplies from the office. Parking is easy and ample. Plenty bike racks. Convenience store and restaurant on site too if you need snacks or a quick bite. Have fun! :)

Home was beautiful, very clean, management responsive. Restaurant next door is awesome. Would stay again here but next time will bring a car or at least a bike to not depend so much on shuttle buses (many short route buses with complicated schedules, online schedule didn’t match actual schedule, reduced hours due to covid) and taxis. Not sure why the island doesn’t have one shuttle bus which goes around the island all day and one for the east coast between the 2 towns. Keep it simple.

Quiet hours and non smoking
Stayed 3 nights with the family. First night was great. The next 2 nights we had neighbors that did not respect the quiet hours and were also smoking on the shared deck although the property is non smoking. They had ashes all over the deck and even in the common hall way. I have small children and a pregnant wife. Not a good mixture. Complained to management who gave us a “sorry.........”. That’s it. We would have stayed an extra day had this been resolved properly. I would not recommend this place for families who are looking for a non-smoking property that have young children. Lovely
The townhouse was immaculately kept . The location of island inn is very accessible to restaurants, shops, and grocery stores.Despite the hurricane, Dorian , it didn't dampen the fun and laughter we had at the Island Inn. We felt safe and very comfortable spending the night. We've been telling our friends about our stay and we're looking forward to spend our future vacation at Island Inn.

Great place
We really liked the location - got off of the ferry, rented bikes and it was a quick ride to our unit. The place looks exactly like it does in the photos, so there were no surprises. It was more than what we typically like to spend (even more than the Ritz and Four Seasons); however, the island is expensive. I liked having the on-site restaurant (not affiliated with the resort) and the pool. The unit was very clean and the staff was accommodating. The resort is conveniently located close to Edgertown. I wouldn't recommend walking; however, by bike it's a short ride. The couch wasn't a sleeper sofa; however, there was a roll-away in the unit. The kitchen was well stocked. There is a large grocery store fairly close to the place - we discovered it an hour before we were heading out of town....we wish we would have known this yesterday This would be a good thing to let guests know. We could see the ocean from the upper bedroom.
