We are happy to be able to share our second home with you. Our property is beautiful but our first priority is your health and safety. That is why we have only one person who is entirely in charge of your stay. Rosa will ensure the home is spotless and disinfected, she will greet you when you arrive (with proper social distancing of course) and be there if you have any questions or concerns. And we allow at least two days between rentals to give lots of time to clean and ensure a safe environment for you and your family.
We purchased this home in 2010 for it's great bones and wonderful location. We spent a full year renovating it inside and out and have included many of the best features we have found in our years of travel. Located high in the La Quinta Cove on a 1/4 acre double corner lot you will enjoy spectacular views of the Santa Rosa Mountains that were once only seen by movie stars that vacationed here. Now the 'Cove' is home to artists, musicians, families and some tourists, with a genuine feeling of community but you can still see the stars in the clear night air.
From the moment you walk through the front gate you instantly realize you have entered your own private retreat. The 400' perimeter wall affords complete privacy to enjoy the lush landscaping and the tranquility that our property offers..... green grass, fruit trees, hummingbirds and flowers. The walkway pavers lead you to the porticoed front entrance and to the large covered patio but the main focus is the 15' by 40' heated saltwater pool and spa ideal for doing laps or just for having fun in. You can enjoy the sound of the birds or the peaceful sound of water trickling from the raised spa since all the pool equipment is remote located. Grill your favorite meal on the commercial BBQ or just cozy up to the auto-lighting gas fire pit on a cool evening. You will find that most of your meals can be eaten under the alumawood covered patio with comfortable furniture, cooling misters and oh, those amazing mountain views. The combination of the high cove location and the high wall means that the winds that the valley is known for are rarely a concern here. We have made the property very accessible with smooth pavers outside, 20” floors tiles inside and no steps anywhere to allow easy and secure walking.
Inside, the 1870 sq ft house has been designed as an open plan but double doors allow you to create as much privacy as you wish. The colour scheme is vibrant yet tranquil, the large patio doors bring the outdoors inside. It is truly a house for entertaining with a large main patio off both the living room and master suite. We have decorated the house in a contemporary manner offering comfort for our guests. The living room features leather furniture, a stand up wet bar, wood burning fireplace, and an internet enabled 55” flat screen TV with a blu-ray home theater system. Choose from over 200 DVD movies or pick something from the internet. Of course the house has super fast WiFi but there are also three other internet connected TVs and three internet radios so your choices are unlimited. Free long distance calling to the US and Canada makes keeping in touch a breeze.
For your cooking enjoyment, the kitchen is big and bright and airy and is well equipped with tools and appliances. Enjoy a snack at the counter bar, eat a meal in the beautifully bright eating nook as you contemplate the mountains through the large windows looking out onto the main garden. A Kuerig coffeemaker is provided for great coffee in an instant. For those must-do chores there is a commercial quality washer and dryer right beside the kitchen in the attached two car garage to keep it quiet and out of sight. For entertaining the dining room is only a few steps off the kitchen, overlooking the living room, and can seat 6 people.
The large master suite comes complete with kingsize bed, ensuite, walk-in closet, patio doors onto the patio and pool, fingertip pool/spa/firepit controls, flat screen TV with PVR, internet radio. Or enjoy the junior suite with queensize bed, ensuite, adjoining sitting room with a leather sofa, flat screen internet enabled TV with built in blu-ray player, internet radio and patio doors onto its own private patio and garden with fruit trees and still more mountain views. The third bedroom is ready with twin beds, flatscreen TV with built-in DVD player and its bathroom next door.

We were looking for get away where we were able to spend time as a family. Our mornings and nights were filled with swimming, board games, Bbq, and movie nights. our days were filled with enjoying the many amenities that the area provides from shopping, golfing, and a trip to the casino. The owners were very thoughtful when planning our stay and everything we could have needed was provided. If you are looking for a relaxing experience, I would highly recommend this property. My wife and I enjoyed our stay at Villa Carranza very much! The Host (John) and Property Manager (Rosa) were very nice and easy to work with. The property (house and grounds) was very clean and well maintained. There are numerous activities, restaurants and shopping less than a mile from the house. We would highly recommend this property.

Wonderful space and amenities. The highlight was the patio, pool and spa with 360 degree view of the mountains. Wow! The friendly hummingbirds and joyful mockingbirds were a nice addition. We had intentions of doing more activities but the outdoor space was so relaxing and inviting that we stayed poolside. Thank you for this very enjoyable experience. We’d go back in a minute!

We had the most wonderful time at Villa Carranza. Rosa, the property manager met us at the house to show us around. She is so very kind, helpful and quick to respond as are the owners, John and Karen. The house and yard were immaculate and beautiful. Even better than the photos. The view from the back yard was stunning! We spent so much time enjoying the wonderful pool, hot tub, and fire pit. The house had everything we needed. The neighborhood is so pretty and quiet with nearby walking trails alongside the mountains. It was just a short drive to Old Town La Quinta, restaurants, shops and golf courses. We will return to this slice of paradise!

This was our second visit to this amazing property. Property is amazingly clean and well stocked. You feel like you are home. Actually better than house. The house has every amenity you could wish for. The outdoors are amazing. Great view of the mountains. Though the weather was cooler this visit and we couldn’t use pool, we were able to enjoy the hot tub and fire pit on a regular basis. The owner John and property manager Rosa treat you like family and are always available to assist with any issue or concerns. Can’t wait to return.

Villa Carranza is a wonderful spot to make home in La Quinta. The owners, John and Karen are excellent communicators and are also available to answer questions quickly and make recommendations on local restaurants and things to do. Their home is clean, tidy, and perfect for an evening in, a day on the patio, or making a huge meal for your family. The natural light, clean landscaping and hot tub made the trip special.
Close to nearby and esteemed golf courses, this is a perfect golf getaway. The check in process with Rosa was also as easy as it comes... she was wonderful, kind, and very efficient.

Rosa was fantastic, warm kind and a generous spirit. The property is very relaxing, well maintained and the owners make the stay very easy with great amenities in kitchen. My only suggestion is to have rugs in the bathroom are to avoid slippage.

Stayed as a family of 4 for a week. Communication with John was excellent. Check-in process was easy with Rosa, who was incredibly kind and gracious. Property was clean and comfortable. Lots of towels and other basic supplies were available. Pool was large with lots of room to play as a family. Hiking trails nearby; great to get a little exercise while enjoying the beautiful views. Lots of shopping and great restaurants nearby. John reached out a few days into our stay to check in with us, and offered some great places to eat, which we really appreciated. Would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet and peaceful holiday!

Enjoyable Week at Villa Carranza
Our group was two middle-aged couples who spent one week at this property. The house sits on a double lot, and though located on a corner, it is extremely quiet.
Communication with the owner John is excellent. Booking and other inquiries were all responded to quickly. That also goes for the local property contact Rosa. She is excellent.
As others have mentioned, the property is very clean and well organized. The labels throughout the house are a nice touch and provide clear instructions.
The kitchen is well stocked. Both the master suite and junior suite are very nice and have ample room. We really enjoyed the outdoor area. The patio cover with fan, misters, nice landscaping. and refreshing pool all create a very pleasant outdoor space. The garage is large, clean and provides ample room for two vehicles.
The location is in a quiet neighborhood and only a few minutes to Old Town La Quinta.
We certainly hope to return to Villa Carranza for one of our future visits to the desert!

Girls weekend
This property was by far one of the nicest and cleanest I've ever stayed in! So well organized and everything you would need for a stay. Great communication with the owners too. There were 5 of us for a girls weekend/Stagecoach weekend. There was plenty of room for all of us and the pool and spa were clean and warm! The neighborhood is so peaceful it made it easy to relax. The 5 of us are already talking about when we will come back! Do yourselves a favor and book this house!

The property was nothing short of spectacular. All our wants and needs were satisfied. Seem-less check-in with manager, great pool and patio, blow-ups for the pool, best BBQ I've ever used, outdoor fan and mister took the edge of 35 degree days, fully equipped kitchen, plenty of rooms for our group, comfy beds and other furniture. TV's were great (but we didn't watch that much) We will be asking to come again. Thanks so much to John and Karen.

Villa Carranza- lovely home & great La Quinta location
My wife and I stayed here two weeks and had a lovely stay. Home is very clean and can accomodate a good sized family. Clear instructions are provided for all home accessories.
Pool and hot tub and outside grill set up was perfect for us. Proximity to walking trails a big plus as well.
We would give Villa Carranza an A+ rating on all counts and would definitely return the next time we are in town.

We were a group of 2 to 3 couples in our 70s. The Pros: one of the cleanest VRBOs we’ve ever stayed in, even the garage and grounds.
Extremely well laid out with multiple areas to hang out
Kitchen has everything you need and we appreciated the staples left for cooking.
The beds were comfortable and linens exceptionally soft.
There are directions for how to use most appliances, including showers and lights. We appreciated all the night lights inside and out.
The pool was warm enough for swimming with just the solar blanket on the 75 degrees and up days.
The location was great for long easy hikes with nice Mountain View’s along the Bear Creek trail and close to many wonderful restaurants with outdoor seating.
Cons: Absolutely none. FYI the twin beds in the one bedroom are standard twin size, not XL as needed by some of the adults in our group.
Also, if you’re hoping to eat at some of the more popular restaurants you will need to get reservations 4 to 5 days ahead of time. 🙁

Perfectly located in a quiet environment, safe and very convenient kitchen, we all enjoyed our 1 week stay in this house. For the cook in me, the kitchen was well equipped and we were impressed by the signs and instructions on how to use and properly store the equipment.

Beautiful and luxurious home in La Quinta
This home is extremely well managed by the property owner and manager. Everything was a dream - making the booking, the communications in between, orientation to the property, checking in etc.
The house is very well managed, well stocked and extremely clean. Looks just like in the pictures. The heated pool and hot tub were very welcome during our Christmas holiday.
We stayed here with two boys and grandparents. Each of us had plush and comfortable rooms, access to enough towels, covers, blankets etc. the house is situated in a good neighborhood and we had access to really good hiking by the mountains just a short walk away.
The grill and dining table outside and the pool were well utilized. We loved the home and it’s many comforts and enjoyed our vacation tremendously here. A must stay is you are in the Palm Springs area ! A great home. Owner was Uber responsive and the manager very friendly. Highly recommend !

Fabulous!
This was our second visit to Villa Carranza. We love this property! The home, pool and spa are beautifully maintained with stunning views of the mountains all around. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything a chef could need. Rosa the housekeeper is lovely—she met us at check in and both Rosa and John the owner checked in with us periodically to make sure that we had everything we needed. We can’t wait to be back!

Fantastic Pool Vacation
We had a fantastic time at Villa Carranza; the kids enjoyed the pool, spending hours a day in it. We loved the shaded patio to watch them from (in between time in the pool too).
The house is amazing. We wanted somewhere we could have a secluded week; we couldn’t have picked a better place. Great kitchen, and a big grill outside made cooking simple, and there were lots of good food options nearby if we didn’t feel like cooking.

Unforgettable and Majestic
First time using Vrbo, and it did not disappoint. Both the owner John and the manager Rosa were responsive and helpful throughout the trip. The property really had everything we needed. Beautiful and warm pool, Roku in every room, open layout, mist near pool. 5 minute drive to downtown La Quinta and about 12-15 minutes to Indian Wells restaurants. Would definitely stay at this wonderful house again!

Villa Carranza is AMAZING!
Villa Carranza was a gem of a vacation rental. It was immaculately clean and well appointed. There were so many little, thoughtful touches throughout the property. The neighborhood is very quiet and low-key. It felt like we were in our own private resort. John was so responsive when we had questions. We enjoyed the pool immensely and the 40 ft. length allowed us to do some lap swimming. I would highly recommend this home and would give it 10 stars if I could!

My wife and I had a very relaxing 2 week stay at Villa Carranza. The property easily lived up to our expectations and was exactly as described. The home was very clean and obviously lovingly maintained. The Property Manager, Rosa, who lives nearby was always available to answer any of our questions and John, the property owner was quick to address any issues we had (and we had very few). Pristine Villa! Perfect for Families!
We had the pleasure of staying at Villa Carranza for 10 nights in February. We were a family or three adults and three children and there was plenty of space for all. The online pictures are beautiful, but the real deal surpassed our expectations. The home was pristine and well stocked. John and Rosa were very attentive and the communication was seamless every step of the way. We had a great vacation and look forward to staying here again soon!

Amazing property!!
This property was perfect for our week away with 2 teens. By far the most well-appointed and organized home we have ever stayed in. Everything you need is right there and carefully labeled and explained. The pool and spa are large and lovely. The house is clean and comfortable and the location can’t be beat.
