About this chalet rental
Our sea front lodge offers a coastal retreat away from the hustle & bustle of everyday life.
A luxurious two bedroom self catering lodge with uninterrupted sea front views off Avon Beach in Mudeford Dorset on the Jurassic South Coast with wonderful walks and unspoilt towns and villages.
The lodge is furnished to an exceptionally high standard with a fully fitted kitchen (incl. cooker, dishwasher, fridge, freezer & washing machine) you can relax in an open plan lounge and bifold doors that open out onto a private sundeck with 180 degree view of the sea . We have two sofas & TV and you can dine-in with a separate open plan area, all with an enviable and open view of the sea. We have installed high speed WiFi access for those who like to keep Connected and for those of you who need to catch up on work or emails during your stay , our table offers a great working space .
Our Master Bedroom adjoins an ensuite shower , we also have an additional Bedroom with two Twin beds and separate bathroom with a bath tub .
Our chalet with its own beautiful majestic tree provides perfect alfresco views across to the Isle of Wight and Iconic needless.
With an ever-changing sea view on an ocean front chalet, you can sit and watch the world drift by.
We can additionally offer you an on site dedicated parking space exclusive for the duration of your visit.

To the east of the chalet is a five minute walk to Avon Beach, with its beach shop, bakery, ice cream shop, fish & chip bar as well as the renowned Noisy Lobster Restaurant. Views are directly over to the Isle of Wight and further along there is Highcliffe and walk along the sea wall.
Stroll west from the chalet onto the well known Mudeford Quay, famous for traditional crab fishing off the Quay, you can also buy fresh fish in its small shop. The RNLI launches from here and there is a coffee shop as well The Haven House Inn.
The quay is a bustling area particularly at weekends where you can learn to kayak or windsurf as well as join short sea excursions round the local coast. Take the ferry across to the Run on Mudeford famous Spit, home to many beach huts and nature reserves. From the Spit you can catch the Land Train along to Hengistbury Head and walk over the cliffs and open space with the wind in your hair , before returning back to watch the boats come in as the sun sets in front of the entrance to Christchurch Harbour.
We are situated on Dorsets Jurassic coast line with a wealth of natural history to explore and enjoy, as well as a short drive into The New Forest.
Great & convenient shopping can be found locally in Christchurch and Bournemouth with further restaurants , shopping and facilities in Poole & Southampton a further drive away.
We offer a private lodge holiday located on Sandhills Coastal Retreat, one of the UK's premier Holiday Parks. As we are ocean fronted we are situated slightly further away from the amenities which are available to park patrons.
Please feel free to visit the Parks reception on site for more information regarding access to these facilities which include an outdoor heated swimming pool, a Bar , live action Sport TV, a small equipped gym and a Billiard table .
Our chalet is strictly no smoking and no vaping and also as plastic and synthetically chemical free as possible . Our minimum rental age is 25 and we are unable to accommodate pets or children.

We’ve never stayed in a chalet before so this was a new experience. The property was beautifully furnished and right on the beach front with an uninterrupted view of the sea. Good restaurants nearby too.

Chalet has an enviable position with the accommodation being comfortable and clean, with a larger than average decking area thanks to the tree, which is quite a feature!
Sandhills has a range of facilities to cater for all your needs whilst being a quieter and more conservative site than many.
Highly recommend for those that want a more up-market place to stay with great sea views, easy access to beach and places to eat on the doorstep.
Perfect base to explore the area and highly recommend Beaulieu approx 35mins away through the New Forest, and Compton Acres 30mins away in Poole.

What a fabulous chalet, in the most perfect position with great decor and everything we could possibly want, including a view to die for.

We were delighted with the high standard of our chalet and we found it to be very well equipped and comfortable.There was only one problem and that was the rather lumpy springs in the two twin beds. But apart from that, it was superb!

Lovely chalet
We had a very enjoyable stay at this chalet. Particularly lovely location, stunning views and peacefully situated. Ideal for couples or families of all ages. The chalet was nice and clean and pleasantly decorated. A nice addition would be if there was a hairdryer available for use. We particularly enjoyed having breakfast on the outside decking and watching the world go by. The sun went off the decking by midday. It's a shame that the branches on next doors tree couldn't be thinned out so the chalet would get some afternoon sun. On a plus the lawn area in front of the decking was in sun into the early afternoon. On the whole a most enjoyable stay.

Excellent location
The chalet is so well positioned on the sea front and near the harbour. The shower is fabulous and there is plenty of room for 4 in the chalet. We had a wonderful long weekend. Oh and the pool on site is heated and lovely.

“A wonderful chalet in a wonderful location”
I have been going to Mudeford and the Christchurch area since I was young in the 80s. I have walked passed the chalets many times and always wanted to stay there. Well ....35 odd years later and many visits to Christchurch since, I finally had the idea to book and take some family members as a treat for an Autumn short break. This chalet did not disappoint and everything that is described is correct and the sea view in full view from the chalet is 50 yards away. Mudeford really hasn’t changed much in many years and is an English unspoilt hidden gem and even when the weather isn’t good, it’s still a wonderful place. We didn’t need to go outside of Mudeford for the weekend and spent our time shared between walking along the long stretch of beach, the haven house pub, the seafood bar and the Noisy lobster restaurant, which is really the only main addition to this stretch of coast in 40 odd years, which is superb.
Booking was easy and the property is well managed the property manager was particularly excellent and helpful. I will be booking again soon and hope to have 2-3 short breaks a year.

Perfect place to watch the world go by
The chalet is located in a brilliant location - it really was a great place for the two of us to recuperate. Perfect to sit out in the evening on the decking with a glass of wine, watching and listening to the sea. The photos give an accurate indication of the property. Samantha, the host, was excellent and extremely efficient at communicating - nothing was too much trouble.

Lovely clean cabin, adjacent Mudeford quay and Avon Beach. Comfortable and homely. Restaurants and Cafes only a short walk away. Good views of the Isle of Wight, and easy access into Christchurch town centre.
