About this apartment rental
Perfectly located 3 bedroom, 3.5 bath condo with 2,200 square feet all on one level. Spacious second floor unit with vaulted ceilings, large private decks, and spectacular views of the ocean, sound, and Jolly Roger Pier. Please note that this unit occupies the entire second floor of the building and is accessible by front or back stairs only. It does NOT have elevator access.
The comfortable living area leads to a covered deck with the most gorgeous sunrises over the pier. The kitchen has everything you need to cook and entertain a crowd, and the sound-side dining table seats 8 with room for more at the bar. Each bedroom has its own ensuite bathroom with double sinks and separate toilet rooms. Linens (sheets, bath towels, and kitchen towels) are included with every stay at no additional charge.

Property location, condition, amenities, floor plan, mattress comfort, kitchen supplies, couldn't have been more perfect for our small family of three young adults and one old person.
Large covered deck with front-row ocean view--we happened to get a full blue moon-rise during our stay!--and lots of comfy seating, including a hammock, are at the top of a long-list of things-we-loved about the property. Two blocks' walk to Lewis Seafood market, Godwin's Market, and the former Patio Playground . . . now Pirate's Turf
Do prepare yourselves for the stairs-only access, which is another good reason to include young adults in your party. Our preference was to use the exterior stairs rather than interior stairs whenever possible.
Property owners were super responsive, professional, and kind managing several questions we had during our stay.
We haven't visited Topsail since before Covid, this was a very happy return!

We loved the property and location. Seems to be the quieter section of the island which is exactly what we wanted, and the beachfront was unbeatable. The unit was very nicely updated and a great size for our family. (3 kids and 4 adults) Overall a great vacation.

We enjoyed seeing our Marine and staying at such a wonderful place. Decor was spot on. Everything we needed was available. For luggage in and out, we used the back entrance. It seemed easier than the spiral front entrance. Loved our stay and enjoyed the light switch game.

This was the perfect condo and location for our long beach weekend! The condo was exactly as marketed…plenty of space, views were spectacular, linens provided, etc. We had a question the first night and received a response promptly. Loved the extras in the place like the low lighting in the kitchen and baths! Loved the multiple areas to spend time…playing games on the dining table soundside, talking in the great room beachfront, or my favorite place- the porch! Would definitely stay here again!

Adults only getaway for rest and relaxation. This condo was just right, everything was on the same floor. Felt like there was several areas to hang out whether it was on the deck, in the living room, and even the dining room was a great place to hang out and play games or do a jigsaw puzzle. The kitchen was spacious enough for multiple people to prep or cook food. The views of the peir either in the day or at night was a nice change of scenery. Thanks for a great week at the beach.

Topsail Beach is amazing! This condo is in the perfect location. Walkable to a few restaurants/coffee shops. Extremely quiet. Perfect size for four of us.
The entry stairs can be difficult to navigate when carrying bags and groceries up/down. These stairs should be noted in the condo description, as older folks or people with health problems may not be able to make the climb easily.
The new kitchen appliances were nice. And the deck was about as good as it could get!!
A few maintenance issues: the carpet on the entry stairs is filthy and did not appear to have been vacuumed in quite a while, not making a very good first impression. But once we arrived in the condo, it was fine. There were light bulbs burned out in every room. A lot of the furniture in the living room is dirty and stained in spots.
All in all, it was a great place to stay. The owners were very easy to reach with questions and they responded very quickly. Again, the deck was definitely a home run!!!

Very nice accommodations. Having private beach access was great. The Apple TV receivers were a pleasant surprise. They had a bunch of kids toys and the kitchen was great. The only reason I gave the place a 4 out of 5 for the cleanliness was the hallway up to the unit. The carpet was stained and one of the steps at the base of the stairs was scratched.

Open, airy, fantastic beach views. Enjoyed being able to walk to putt putt, restaurants, ice creams and local shops. There was a closet full of great kids toys which was an unexpected surprise. We would defiantly stay here again.
As others have said-the stairs to get all your stuff into the house IS NO JOKE. Not a property for anyone who has a hard time navigating stairs. They are steep and twisty. Would be really great if owners would allow use of the elevator just for moving in/out. All of the units have elevators- not sure why guests arent allowed to use. Don’t think anyone is responsible for cleaning those stairs-pretty dirty/dusty, which made me a little concerned as to what we would find inside. But-inside was very clean and inviting!
The tall ceilings were beautiful. Appliances worked very well. Mattresses were comfy. And the property manager emailed day of check in to make sure everything was in good order (we arrived just after a hurricane).
All in all we had a great trip and would definitely come back!

We had a wonderful time at Top Sail Island this summer! This rental property was perfect for our family. The property owner is very responsive and pleasant to work. The property is very nice and updated, and the location couldn’t be better! The property is ocean front and also walking distance from a couple of restaurants, wine bar/ coffee shop, convenience store, ice cream, mini golf and gift shops. It was the perfect property for our family vacation!

We really enjoyed this rental. The condo is very nice with amazing ocean views. It is located right on the beach near the downtown Topsail area. You can walk everywhere in Topsail and then drive, if needed, to Surf City. We had a wonderful week at the condo and highly recommend it!

...then this is the rental for you. Undeniable views from the deck and excellent private access to the beach.
However, if you intend to spend any amount of time indoors in the daily habits of living (like sleeping, eating, using the bathroom, etc), then seek out another property.
It's properties like this that are the cause for so much complaining about vacation rentals. It's not a dump, it's fine. However, there's a long chore list awaiting you, a $$$$ cleaning fee, and if you're as lucky as we were: no toilet paper/half rolls, no dishwasher detergent (and the dishwasher was full), a broken dishwasher, uncleaned floors, no bed linens or bath towels (this is the ultimate in cheap accommodation tactics), cheap kitchen appliances like a toaster from the dollar store... I could go on.
They are charging way too much for the level of accommodation they provide. They are cheap, let's just call it what it is. They rely on the location alone, but to us, that wasn't enough to justify the high price tag and all the failures of hospitality we experienced. They should not be in the hospitality industry and just enjoy their beach house privately. I hope they remember their sheets!

The Good
Proximity to beach and oceanview were fabulous.
Sleep # bed in ocean master was good.
Very tastefully decorated and lots of detailed woodwork.
Polywood deck furniture.
Lots of indoor seating.
The Bad
32 stairs up to the unit in spiral staircase format were not fun but the elevator is not for guest use.
Tile floors were sticky and dirty upon arrival - had not even been swept let alone wet-mopped.
Carpets did not appear to have been vacuumed.
Most of the furniture in living room was dirty - even had food embedded in some of it.
Washer had excessive black mold which we cleaned so we could use it. They should post a note for renters to leave the lid raised.
Rain showerhead in master was so clogged that water sprayed everywhere but down.
Back master bedroom had so much dust hanging from the ceiling fan that we used the middle room but the bed was not as nice as in the 2nd master.
Dishwasher had dirty dishes in it when we arrived - likely due to it not working because the frame is bent and the door won't close. We saw this reported in an earlier review asked if it had been fixed - reply was 'yes'. We had to hand wash dishes. Almost everything we pulled from the cabinets was dirty.
No garbage disposal was frustrating.
We had 4 adults and though the pics showed 4 bar height chairs on the deck, one was broken and in the corner.
Deck had rotten board right in the middle.
This really is a beautiful place if some maintenance and cleaning were done.

We had a fantastic time at this condo. Accuracy in terms of rooms, location and all of the major things were really great! Communication between the owner was also great. We just wish we knew about the amount of stairs and while there was an email in the beginning about bringing items, it wasn't made clear on the listing. There are no linens or towels (which is expected more in a beach rental), but there was also no garbage bags, handsoap, toilet paper, paper towels, dishwasher soap, laundry detergent, etc.
These are all minor details, but wish we knew/read better about this before we got there! Otherwise everything else was really great! Would definitely rent again!

The location is unbeatable and our stay was wonderful. I would definitely stay here again. There were some things in the home that could use some maintenance or help. The dishwasher didn't close without some serious help bending the frame that holds it up to allow the door to close and a handful of lights were burnt out. I also didn't notice in the fine print that linens were not provided and discovered that about 5 minutes before we arrived when reading the check in directions. They do provide a linen rental recommendation, I just wasn't prepared for that on arrival so that was a bit of a hassle. Overall though wonderful place if you don't mind having to walk up a small staircase to get to the room.

We had such a wonderful visit here. It was clean, spacious and the views were incredible! We had everything we needed and more. Great space for kids (including games and toys), amazing porch with hammock and a table and chairs, big kitchen with everything we needed, and wonderful adult bedrooms and bathrooms. The beach was RIGHT there, and the views were lovely (ocean and canal). Everything was in walking distance, including a great park, restaurants, and the fall festival (a nice surprise!). Perfect for families with kids. Highly recommend and can’t wait to go back!

My family and I loved staying at this property, especially being beachfront. Enjoyed the peace and quiet of off-season. Watched the sun rise over the pier, walked on the beach, drank coffee in the porch, and cooked in the well-appointed kitchen.

Huge house with beautiful decor & excellent location, but the best part of this property is hands-down the enormous deck with an outdoor dining table, plenty of extra seating, & a huge hammock positioned perfectly for a view of the ocean! The ring toss game was also a huge hit with the kids! We will definitely be back!

We absolutely loved this condo! The 3 bedrooms each had an attached bathroom plus there was another half bath. The kitchen was well stocked and the living area was large with comfortable furniture. The balcony was huge and we stayed out there as much as possible! We loved the stairs going directly down to the beach. My only suggestions are that there could be a couple more tall chairs on the balcony to see over the rails, and it would be awesome if the ceiling on the balcony was waterproof so you could sit out even if it’s raining. Other than that it was perfect!

My husband, two adult children, daughter in law, and three grandchildren spent the second week of august at this rental. House was a perfect size and set up for us. Location was perfect 👍. Topsail is a adorable little town. Beach was lovely. Our only complaint is the house was not very clean. It appeared to have been given a quick wipe down at best. We loved the outdoor deck. Would likely rent again.

We have visited Topsail Beach several times. This location is by far our favorite! It was perfect for our family and suited our needs in every way. Owners are wonderful to work with and we look forward to staying here again! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Property needs some attention
This was my second stay with my family at this property. The location and outdoor living space is outstanding with wonderful patio furniture. Unfortunately the interiors of the home are showing their age and demonstrate a lack of attention to maintenance. A plumber was on the premises reportedly repairing a problem with the part of the system that regulates water temperature. The previous guests were having trouble getting hot water. Our water was lukewarm. He came out a second time to crank up the water heater and so we had hot water during our stay. The house has two ac units. One is completely non-functional so the front bedroom was 77+ degrees the entire time we were there. The floors were filthy, which is not to say they weren’t broom clean they are just in desperate need of a deep steam clean. The area rugs were very dirty. What bothered me most was that all the things that were broken in 2019 were still broken. The master shower fixture was broken, it still is. The toilet tank cover in the guest bath was fractured in half, it still is. The kitchen faucet finish was peeling off, now completely gone and peeling from the bar sink faucet as well (which by the way was non-functioning). Water filter in the refrigerator is overdue for replacement as is the main floor HVAC filter. Some significant attrition to kitchen equipment has occurred since 2019. Believe it or not, no church key. Recent mattress replacement was noticed and appreciated. All in all disappointed by paying more than before for what feels like less than before. Probably won’t return unless owners spend some money returning the house to its former glory.

Comfortable, tasteful, convenient
We didn’t want to leave the porch, with the perfect beach views, dininG table and good chairs. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking and the beds were comfortable . We could walk to restaurants, mini-golf, a coffee shop and the pier.

Beautiful views and great property
The beach, the deck, the kitchen - everything was great. You really can’t beat the location - the sound of the ocean singing you to sleep at night and the water tower and pier are great points of reference if you like long walks on the beach. You do have to bring your own linens, towels, paper goods like toilet paper and any beach equipment. Not a huge deal but does require a little extra planning and work. In the end, it’s a lovely, family friendly unit with incredible beach views and access. Thanks!

We had the best time on our family vacation!! We had 6 adults and two children 2 and 3 years old. There was plenty of space for everything and the condo was super kid friendly! The location was fabulous and the beach was amazing! I would highly recommend this location!!

Wonderful week of weather! Could live on the porch😀. Lots of room for handicapped mother to maneuver. Elevator a great addition to house/condo! Highly recommend watching sunrise in morning from porch and sunset from dining room looking out over bay dock!!

Wonderful beachfront property!
My family and I had the best stay! The porch overlooking the ocean was perfect for meals and we enjoyed relaxing in the hammock. We appreciated all the baby gear, including water table, beach toys, and feeding table. We’ll be back next summer!

Family Vacation
This was our first visit to Topsail Island. We came in on the end of a Tropical Storm. The weather could have been better! But otherwise, the property was great. Very nice, a lot of space. The elevator was a lifesaver moving in and out. And the homeowners were great to work with!! We loved it! Very convenient to pier for fishing.

Great location & family friendly
Our two families with young kids enjoyed our stay here. The property is beautiful with a great deck, and the location can't be beat—great beach, close to restaurants, fish market, and park. The elevator is a nice perk for unloading and loading but not something you'd want to use regularly to get up and down.
The property itself is 5 stars but we were a bit disappointed with the hosting. The condo wasn't really ready for the season yet; many light bulbs were burnt out, latches on things were broken, beach toys were sparse, and we only got TP in two bathrooms and no towels for in the kitchen. If you require guests to put all dishes away before leaving, kitchen towels should be supplied.
Overall we would stay again, but not knowing about no paper products caused us to rush to the grocery store for a 30 min round trip we didn't want to have to do at the beginning of our stay.
