Place was very large, suitable for 2 families of 4/5. Facility was clean and we loved our views of the sky at sunset and overall vibe of the house. Had an issue with the screen door on the deck, but asked the owner for help and he responded immediately. Great stay and would recommend again!

Great location, but the property itself was in disrepair. Upon our arrival many items were broken. One of the refrigerator doors was duct taped and non-working. The produce and meat drawers had no middle support, so they sagged and did not shut properly. The screen door was dented, duct taped and did not close tight. There was a nail coming through a hole in the kitchen linoleum. The coffee pot brews coffee, but the warming plate does not keep coffee hot. The door for the bedroom off the kitchen does not close. The Metal fire pit had several of its legs twisted and broken. Of the four Tiki lamps attached to the deck only one had oil and a wick. The umbrella had two bent arms and tipped over easily when opened. The property was not clean professionally. The kitchen floor was gritty and food crumbs were collected against cabinet base boards. Kitchen hand soap and dish liquid almost emptied, dirty sour smelling kitchen sponge, damp musty smell from under kitchen sink. The kitchen ceiling fans were covered in dirt and grease that flicked off and stuck to the ceiling. The kitchen rug was dirty and stained. The kitchen is the heart of vacation for food, drinks, and conversation. It's where my family gathers. It was disappointing. I feel the owners knew about all of this. These things didn't just happen. Prior to check in, we were told the pond water level was high and the owners would be away with limited cell service. Leave a message and they would get back to us. I didn't bother.

* Location was great. Just a short drive off of highway and only a few miles for staple items. * 1st floor layout: plenty of spaces, indoors and out, for playing games, reading, watching TV, swimming, cooking, and eating. * Especially enjoyed sun parlor with large windows overlooking lake and back yard and separate areas for reading a book (comfortable couches, beautiful view) or playing games at the opposite end, with large table and plenty of seating. * Decent size kitchen for cooking, eating, playing games Loved the yellow daisy tablecloth and large table with bench seating. So cheerful and homey! * Master bedroom is beautiful. X Access into water was hazardous with large rocks. Rocks should have been removed to create generous entry...like neighbors did. X No fire pit (As owner noted, "it was somewhere under water.") We bought one ($50), got a few of nights out of it, and stored it in the garage next to boat for future renters. X Kitchen window over sink--dead bugs, spiders, and webs between glass panes. YUCK! Especially over food prep area. X Excluding master BR, other bedrooms need redecorating--bring in brighter colors, remove rugs, add more storage. X Upstairs bath needs overhaul

Best rental place we've stayed at! The host Andrew was very responsive with any questions we had ahead of time. House was as described, clean and comfortable with excellent lake views and access. Nice yard for kids and a fenced area for a dog. We really felt at home and didn’t want to leave!

This property is a little slice of heaven located in the western foot hills of Maine. Our family had a wonderful vacation there. The accommodations were great, the house was outfitted very well, bedrooms were great and also has a/c for those hot summer nights. The beach was great with the grand children and the sunset sets were spectacular. Close to all kinds of activities and a few great restaurants. Andrew and his wife were awesome hosts. 5 Stars from this family!!

We had a great family vacation! Use of the garage to store our bikes and paddle boards was a bonus. Access to the lake was nice.

What a beautiful location! There was a lot to offer, we were very comfortable, and Andrew was very helpful and friendly. We had a great week!

The property is located on Lovewell Pond and features a sandy beach which is great for children of all ages. The use of three kayaks is a plus. The house is well equipped, especially the kitchen and games shelves. Beds are comfortable, and we were grateful for the air conditioning on the hottest days. The owner is very accessible and quick to respond to our questions and needs. Shopping, hiking, ice cream shop and other activities are close by.

The sandy beach was great for our little kids to run and play. The shoreline was kind of murky but we were able to rake it up and a friendly neighbor came by and shoveled it into his truck. We were there for the Fourth of July fireworks and we enjoyed them right from the deck. The enclosed porch is amazing for reading and nighttime breezes. The water was soo warm and really shallow which worked out great for our littles House had pretty much everything we needed. AC was a bonus on hot nights. Definitely could some lamps because only overhead fan lights in every room and since we are all readers it made it inconvenient at times. Great weather and great relaxing time with family. My family stayed here for a long weekend in June and had a wonderful time. We spent a few days over at Storyland (about 30 minute drive), and a full day just hanging out at the lake. My 5 and 7 year old loved it! The house was clean and well stocked, and the views of the lake were fantastic. We’ll plan on coming back next year!

We loved the beautiful beach and being able to watch from the porch and deck as the kids frolicked in the water. Wonderfully stocked kitchen! We loved the kids cozy old Maine cabin feel of the place. The kids loved sleeping together in the bunk room and the beds and couches were quite comfortable. Thank you so much! (Only one suggestion- if you like the idea of reading late into the night, bring a book light. There aren’t any bedside or couch side lamps- probably due the the kid-and-dog friendliness of the place.)

We had a great week at the property. The location was great with dedicated beach. The water is fairly shallow for a distance so great for kids. The kitchen and more importantly, the refrigerator were a good size for a large family. Andrew was very responsive both before and during our stay.

Everything was as described, EXTREMELY quiet spot, no loud partying neighbors, everyone was very respectful, we had such a wonderful time! We’d definitely return again!

The house was very clean and comfortable. The pond is where we spent most of our time and was perfect for my 3 year old. Like others mentioned, water shoes are a must though with all of the fresh water mussels in the sand. The area is great with plenty to do to keep everyone busy ( ice cream, brewery, bowling, coffee and bbq within a few miles). We had one hiccup and Andrew was very responsive and helped us take care of the situation. I would definitely recommend the house for anyone looking to relax!

House was comfortable and well appointed with room enough to have reading nooks and play games together. Deck with live edge bar was wonderful for coffee in the morning and watching shooting stars at night.

This was our second year at this property and yet again, we loved it! If you're looking for a waterfront, camp experience, this is the one.

Andrew and Claire are great hosts! The house has everything you would need even when you have rainy days, games to play, WiFi, and AppleTV. It is a quiet area which is great for families with littles. AC in all rooms that really makes a difference on some of those scorching Maine summer nights. We love this property!

We spent a week with four boys ages 4-9. We also had six adults. The house was spacious and had plenty of living space for children to play with toys and complete puzzles. The outdoor deck overlooking the water was great to watch the kids play in the sand. The whole family enjoyed the kayaks and access to water. Our only suggestion is to wear water shoes because there are a lot of shells and rocks that were sharp. Our overall experience was wonderful and we recommend this house for families with small children.

There’s a lot of positives from our stay on Lovewell Lake in Fryeburg. The spot on the lake is very quiet, not overrun by motor boats or house parties. There are three kayaks available, and having your own beach is great. There are multiple indoor and outdoor seating areas. The owner was very attentive and communicative to our needs and concerns, made accommodations for Covid (rebate for bringing our own sheets and towels). The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cookware, and with the BBQ cooking was easy. The house stayed much cooler than the outside so the sleeping was very comfortable. There are plenty of areas for walking around the neighborhood which was great for our small dog. Couple of things to note. The lake was swim able, but it had some leeches and mussels and snakes, so be careful. The house really isn’t built for ten people - we were comfortable with four, I could see six, but ten is pushing it - there’s sleeping areas for ten but it’d be crowded. The biggest reason for fewer people is the water, which is from a well and very sensitive to rainfall and water levels in the area. We arrived after a dry spell and after ten people had stayed there, and there just wasn’t enough water for kitchen or shower usage. The owner was responsive and apologetic, sending someone to look at the filter and well and rebated is a bit to accommodate for the lack of water, but we did ask about the water complaint we noted on other reviews and were told before we got there that there wasn’t an issue. There was, and luckily we like camping and roughing it, because the showers were quick and sparse and we used paper plates and plastic forks and bottled water. I’m guessing when it’s been raining and there’s water in the ground the water isn’t an issue, but you should just confirm with the owner before you book.

My family and I had a great stay at the lake house. Everyone loved the beach. They spent all day in the water and playing in the sand. The space in the house was nice - living room, two dining areas and additional space on the porch for the kids to play. The only negative would be the well water as it must be rationed throughout the day- showers, dishwasher or washing clothes. Other than that we had a great stay and would rent again.

Andrew was a great host. We had a wonderful stay. A few issues arose during our stay and Andrew was great dealing with with them. Was a great vacation for our group.

Beautiful view from the nicely appointed property - we had all the amenities we needed

We loved our stay! Old camp charm situated in a beautiful location. The beach coupled with shallow lake was perfect for our two small children and we loved it too. Water was deep enough for us all to swim if we wanted, but wasn't so deep that I had to worry much about my kids' safety. Highly recommend water shoes though. The further out you go in the water, the more rocky it seems to be. Several members of our party got minor cuts under their feet. We loved hanging out at the bar on the deck too. Great spot for chit chatting while over looking the beach, amazing sunsets, and gorgeous mountains. Not too mention numerous loon sightings! We had plenty of space for all of us (10) and were so sad to leave. Definitely considering a return trip next year.

Amazing view and right on the water. We were in the water every day! Quiet pond, not a lot of boat traffic. Home was spacious and clean. We all had a blast!
