About this house rental

'Fredelig sted'(peaceful place) is patterned after a Norwegian cottage with curved roof on the outside and knotty pine and birch wood inside.

The bright panoramic view of the Chesapeake from the great room, master bedroom or deck elicits a relaxed, peaceful mood as soon as you arrive. Watch the seagulls or osprey play in the breeze or the dozens of sailboats in the distance while you are curled up on a deck chair in the shade of a huge oak tree. Bring a book or read one from the collection in the book case.

When you are hungry, light the gas or charcoal grill, or the oven, or travel a few minutes to Skipper's Pier or any of the fine restaurants along the river or the Bay. Even more restaurants are in nearby Annapolis, just 30 minutes away.

The children or adults can play croquet, badminton or ride the swing in the fenced back yard. Or they can wade or swim in the Bay right in front of the house.

Annapolis has theaters, playhouse, symphony, pirate ship for kids, sight-seeing, crab cruises. Winery tours and tasting and nature trails are nearby including a stand of huge bald cypress trees with native birds. Pier and boat launch 5 minutes away.

Wonderful family time! Fishing, crab trap, played badmitton. Kept busy right at property. Teenagers only on electronics at end of day! House is beautiful and pretty flower garden. Lots of relaxing watching sailboats. Granddaughter wants to build a house just like it! Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Our stay at this home was wonderful! The house is beautiful with a lot of character. Everything about it made our stay relaxing and easy. We spent most of our time on the deck with that beautiful view of the bay watching the osprey and the boats. It was nice to take our floats, kayak and paddling board and relax on the water. There are great restaurants very close to the house. We will definitely be back!

We just completed our third stay at Million Dollar View on the Chesapeake Bay and my family is already planning our next visit. Million Dollar View is a wonderful vacation property!

We had a wonderful time, house was nice, clean, and perfect location for our fishing charter that was at 5am! However, the neighbors complained to owner saying we were too loud past 10pm. In order to be well rested for the 5am fishing charter we made sure to be in bed before 10pm, so we were confused as to what was meant by " too loud, too late"?

Although there was a minor mix-up with our reservation (on the owner's side), the owner promptly handled it seemlessly. Communication was excellent. The home was clean and inviting. The view was beautiful and the sunrise we woke up to was breathtaking. Thank you for making our stay welcoming.

This house is amazing. It was a million dollar view! The owner takes great care and clearly loves his house. The space was perfect for our group. Very comfortable inside and out. Bob was an awesome host!

Our son got married at Herrington, which is about 9 miles from this house. We truly enjoyed the property, swimming in the bay and the amazing views

Overall our stay was wonderful I do suggest upgrading the furniture some of the beds were not very comfortable and the Family room furniture could use updating. But we were in town for a weeding and our weekend was very enjoyable at this property.

We grew up together in NJ, and got together for the first time in 50 years at this beautiful house! It mostly poured rain, but we just enjoyed talking and laughing together. The house is so pretty, right on the water, in a gorgeous area

Superb, well equipped home with amazing access and views of Chesapeake bay. Owner is very communicative and provided thorough instructions and excellent recommendations for the area. We did a couple day trips to DC and this a nice retreat from the busy urban city.

This property is absolutely gorgeous and the views of the bay are stunning. Planned a friend's weekend for self care and had an amazing time. The house is clean, has comfortable bedrooms, and a kitchen with everything you will need. Beautiful area to take walks and near lots of local restaurants. We did art in the living room and watched movies. This place is perfect for vacations and getaways, the owners are nice and very responsive.

As the title says. Uncomplicated, cozy stay on the water with all the convenience of a home rather than a hotel. Generally clean; found evidence here and there of previous tenants not cleaning up after themselves (used soap bars in the shower), but nothing that truly dampened our enjoyment of the rental.

Great property, beautiful view, great communication with owners, but furniture needs upgrade. None of the areas were comfortable for seating, sofa & armchairs were uncomfortable, cushions were completely flat. Access to washer and dryer would be convenient.

We stayed here for my wedding weekend and the location is gorgeous. Right by the water. Made for some beautiful getting ready pictures. The host responds quickly and helped me with any problems I had. Would definitely stay here again!

The outside was lovely, except you can’t swim. This part of the Bay was filled with Jellyfish. The inside of the house was FILTHY, old, Dirty & Disgusting. We had to get our own towels, blankets & used sweatshirts to cover the pillows. Mold was on the ceiling & floors, everything was sticky & smelled (tables etc), not even a toilet paper holder, dead bugs, floors had Cheerios & crackers when we arrived. The sink in the kitchen was corroded. The walls had streaks of dirty water??? The fridge was dirty & had green stains. The furniture was dirty & had stains all over. I have pictures of everything. We tried to go back to our hotel but it was booked. The owners seemed nice but the cleaning people just seemed to do nothing. The washer stained our white clothes. I paid what I paid because I expected a nice clean comfortable place to stay. The pictures are a lie and the reviews are a lie. Unless these people live in squalor.

Spectacular view and a wonderful quiet property to enjoy a much needed summer getaway. Nearby restaurants are fabulous and Deale is near enough to many beautiful place as such as Annapolis. Host was super nice- offering many suggestions for dining and sightseeing.

This property has the most incredible views of the Chesapeake Bay. A community dock is only a few steps away from the back yard. We enjoyed fishing and crabbing for hours. Our next visit to this property is already being planned.

There were10 of us who stayed for a week. We came for our great niece’s graduation. The house was amazing 🎈. We could not keep the grandkids out of the water. The house had everything you would ever need. Thanks for the great vacation!

We had a great time staying here for our vacation. It felt like home. Our children had fun swimming and kayaking and they spent most of their time outside having fun. The only issue we had was the air conditioner stopped working our last day and night and it was leaking water into the upstairs bathroom but the temperatures were really hot that weekend and our host was notified. He was very responsive and I’m sure it was taken care of. Thanks for sharing your home with. We would love to stay there again.

My girlfriends and I, who have been friends for 40+ years ( ages 73, to 83) loved spending time in your very well appointed home right on the Chesapeake. The view was just gorgeous!! First couple of days it rained, but we are game players, mostly mahjong, so we managed. We even got a few outings in in between the rain drops! Sunny the nxt few days. The hosts had everything you needed To make your stay enjoyable. Robert was very gracious to us. Would definitely reccomend staying here.

Wow! What a location! It was so beautiful. Our kids were so thrilled to be on the water that they swam in the Chesapeake, even in March! We all loved it. A perfect distance for visiting WA DC. We commuted in each day of our stay but we enjoyed having a quiet place to go in the evening. Owners were so welcoming!

We didn't really expect a whole lot because it was the off-season; and the view was really great. But we have to say that we were disappointed with the overall comfort of the furnishings and cleanliness of the house
