Best hotel for the money

This was hands down one the best value hotels for the money on our trip. Large rooms, great service, very quite at night, all the amenities of a 5 star hotel.

The BEST experience ever with Hotel Mercer! I will be recommending it to my family and friends.

Everything was perfect! The room was large yet cozy, the location easy to walk to see the sights and breakfast had everything you could want. And the staff especially the front desk was superb especially Eileen!

No dresser or shelves to put our clothes in.

Sehr schön für einen kurzen Trip nach Amsterdam

Tolle Lage im schönsten Viertel Amsterdams Sehr schönes Haus und das Design ist aussergewöhnlich Die Einrichtung ist sehr geschmackvoll Das Personal ist sehr freundlich

Die Fenster konnten nicht geöffnet werden, so dass man immer die Klimaanlage anlassen musste. Die Luft war dadurch im Zimmer stickig. Das Frühstücksbüffet war enttäuschend für ein 4-Sterne-Hotel.

Okay, but a bit expensive.

Amazing location in the heart of Jordaan within walkable distance to everything. The hotel itself is absolutely gorgeous as well.

For the crazy price point of 430eur/night, a couple of things were hard to ignore: 1) Although we were promised "city view", the window in our room faced... A huge wall, 1m in front of the window. There was zero natural light. 2) In the span of 3 days, someone walked into our room (possibly cleaning staff, still inappropriate) while we were in there a total of 4 times. They only knocked once, the other times they just barged in. We let reception know after the first time, but it still happened 3 more times. 3) Possibly not the hotel's fault, but I found a total 3 huge spiders roaming around on the bed. Additionally, for the price point, it would have been nice for the cleaning staff to replace the coffee pods that were used and provide new ones - we only had coffee available in the room the first day.

Very nice hotel

The room is spacious and clean and the location is convenient

The staff aren’t very friendly, and they kind of frown when you say you’re not vegan, because it’s a vegan hotel. The room doesn’t have a bathrobe, slippers, or anything except for towels and soap

נהדר, מספק חוייה נהדרת של שהייה עירונית וייחודית.

מיקום מצויין, מרכזי אך שקט. מלון יפה מאוד בעל עיצוב ייחודי ומיוחד. החדר נקי מאוד ויפה. הצוות היה שירותי מאוד וגם תהליך הקבלה והעזיבה היה יעיל וקצר.

לא היה מקרר קטן בחדר, התאורה בחדר די חלשה. כתמים על הקירות ועל הרהיטים וחבל כי מעבר לכך החדר מאוד נקי!

Very nice for a one night stay in the heart of Amsterdam

Great location, Friendly staff, room had a small seating area. Great bedding. I loved the wallpaper in the toilet 🌞

a bit dark, bedroom a bit cramped, no place to open up suitcases.

Correct

Very amicable & customer service driven staff Beautiful bar & restaurant Rooms are well decorated

1/ Rooms lack the basic amenities like toothpaste, lotion & cotton kit. 2/ Price difference between booking.com and at the hotel for a last minute extended 2-day stay was double for the first extra night and triple for the second. 3/lack of customer retention : on the above, I had to book again through booking.com and staff wasn’t able to keep the pricing the same for the last night (totaling a 4-night business trip stay) which made it really uncomfortable to have to search & change to another hotel because the price for the last night was 3x the rest of the nights (on any kind of room). I found it disappointed to have no help to stay one more night at close to 300€/night since it was a last minute change in my schedule. Big lack of customer service & business retention not coming from the staff as they were calling the people in charge to make such decisions.

Gran hotel en el corazón de la zona de los canales de Amsterdam para explorar en pareja.

El desayuno muy bueno, el area del bar muy bueno y el personal muy atento. La ubicación es genial ya que caminando estas a pocos pasos de cualquier lugar.

Top Empfehlung für einen City-Trip

Top Lage, alles ist zu Fuß zu erreichen. Die Straßenbahn ist fast vor der Tür, absolute Empfehlung!

Man kann leider keine Fenster öffnen, das ist schade .

A two night stay with my friend for leisure

The location was great in a quiet street. Staff were friendly. Safe.

Rooms were so dusty, shower had a clear door not ideal if you are with friends and family.

Classy, comfortable and excellent location.

There are a few things you need in a hotel on a stay. Bed, shower, location and service. This hotel excelled in all. Additionally, it had such a classy style. I can’t recommend it enough.

Only issue was 1 night when the var was not open due to illness.

Amazing, cozy, luxurious, comfortable and convenient

We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Mercier! It was so cozy and comfortable, while luxurious at the same time. Everything was meticulously thought of and the decor was stunning. Beds and pillows were very comfortable and shower was warm and luxurious. The location was out of this world, in such a beautiful spot and walking distance to most things. Will be back for sure, we absolutely loved our time in Amsterdam

Comfortable and clean, but more attention to cleaning the room each day.

The hotel and room was nicely furnished and decorated and kept clean. The breakfast buffet was very good and offered a good variety of options. Staff were friendly

Our room was only serviced once during our whole stay. I would have liked our linen and towels to be refreshed and also the water temperature could have been a little hotter. The glasses and cups were not replaced with new ones either after use each day. Not having a door to the bathroom was also odd and a bit of a hassle but we used the coat screen in the room for privacy.

Pleasant stay

Very good position, quiet and within one of the most beautiful city parts. The hotel is modern but keeps a lot of traditional elements, so it results cozy and charming. The staff is very kind and helpful.

Covid-related restrictions apart, would have been good to have a bit more of room service (ex. change the towels and replace coffee pods after a couple of days).

Great location, beautiful building

The location of the hotel is fantastic, in a beautiful area and easy accessible to all areas via the tram. Gorgeous food places nearby. Would recommend for the location alone.

We requested the twin beds, (staying with my teenager!) yes it’s written that it may not be possible. But I think if you’re booking a room you should get what you’ve asked for and offer only what’s available. We had to share the double bed the first night wasn’t ideal! But we were given a twin room the next night. Also be aware that there is no door to shower fine if you’re a couple not ideal staying with your teenager.

Lovely hotel in a great location

Great location within easy walking distance of everywhere we wanted to explore.

A couple of quirks in the room layout were a little frustrating, such as the coffee making facilities were downstairs, but the only water supply upstairs. No wardrobe or rack to hang clothes. Nothing that would put us off staying again.

Really cute hotel in a great location, but more attention to detail for those prices.

Breakfast very nice, great location, gorgeous bar and very friendly staff!

Room a little noisy and felt a bit forgotten, we asked for a couple of things, extra blanket and it never appeared. Room turn down missed so had to ask for new towels and mugs, we ran out of coffee pods too.

Fantastiskt hotell: 10/10 i dubbelrum 8/10 i twinrum

Perfekt läge. Väldigt trevligt och snyggt. Tyst och möjligt att helt mörklägga rummet samt mycket bekväma sängar - man sov mycket bra. Bra frukost. Bra högtalare i rummet för musik.

Det enda som drar ned betyget från 10/10 till 8/10 är att twin-rummet uppenbart inte var tänkt som ett twin-rum då duschen hade glasdörr (men inte rätt ut mot rummet) och toadörren inte gick att stänga helt. De borde sätta upp något på glasdörren så att den inte är genomskinlig typ plastfilm och fixa dörren.

Beautiful boutique hotel in the Jordaan neighbourhood, very large room with very nice decor and very spacious bathroom. Excellent breakfast with lots of variety in a very nice dining area. Great value for money in Amsterdam Excellent proximity to public transport and museums and local attractions
