Steps away from the picturesque shores of the Oregon Coast, this dog-friendly Newport escape gives you a place to unwind in peace and beauty. Comprised of two separate living spaces that can be rented separately, room for up to 12 guests, and a central location near a variety of activities, you won't have to go far for fun. Two dogs are also welcome and allowed only in the lower level of the home.
Just steps away from the picturesque Oregon Coast (beach access is right across the street!), six blocks from the lush nature preserve at Yaquina State Park, and just a short walk from the shops at Nye Beach, you'll have everything you need at your fingertips.
Each half of this duplex can also be rented individually - there is one self-contained home on the upper floor and another on the lower level. This listing is for both sections of the home, allowing for everyone to stay with privacy and plenty of room. Both sections have their own kitchen, full bathroom, and either a patio or balcony.
Light pouring in from the oceanview windows highlights the wood beamed ceilings in the main living area on the upper floor. Surf the cable channels, or watch your favorite DVD on the flatscreen HDTV. Check the scores of all the games when you connect to the in-house free WiFi.

Our stay at this facility was everything we need and very comfortable for 8 guest. There were only a couple bumps in the road, one both TV's we could not get to work, we called and someone came out to help us but she was unable to fix problem. So we lived without TV which for our handicap person that was with us was not happy. The rental agency is going to credit my account for the inconvenience .

The upper unit was ok but it definitely needs new furniture. The furniture was not comfortable and the living room chair was broken. The lower unit needs a lot of attention. Again, the furniture was very old, worn and uncomfortable. The carpets were stained and filthy we could not even walk in the unit barefoot. The TV did not work, read the long complicated instructions and tried the remotes from both units but were neve able to get it to work. The bedroom had disgusting old worn out blood stained sheets on the bed! I have never experienced anything like that before and we have stayed in many vacation rentals. The only saving grace was the excellent beach access just across the street from the rental.

We were 7 adults and 4 young kids. The variety of bedrooms and bathrooms plus the 3 decks and wonderful kitchen/living room made to easy to all get together or be in smaller groups. Great view and loved being across from the city park. Being close to Nye Beach is a plus. I recommend this house!

Great stay at the beach
Very rainy wet marathon weekend. Had to stay in all afternoon but ordered Pizza and had a blast. This place has all the comforts of home while celebrating my daughter’s 1st marathon.

Very convenient location. Great for multiple families. Had a well stocked kitchen (small crock pot tho), plenty of games, books, puzzles. Easy access to the ocean and beautiful view. Within walking distance to a couple bars; we recommend the Sandbar. Comfortable beds and plenty of towels. Clean. Thank you for a great time.

We enjoyed this place. Convenient to the beach. No problems with check in. Be aware the dog is only allowed downstairs and up and down Units do not connect from inside. The bed and linens were good. Cleanliness good.

It's good, but, it's changed
I've been coming here for several years. It was a gem. Since Vacasa took over the fees have litereally doubled, with no real difference in experience. They have clearly done some remodeling. the downstairs has replaced a picture window with a slider.... That's great, but it creates an awkward living space. I don't know. It used to be really friendly... now it's more cold and corporate. It's still a great place. The comforts are good. The views and beach access are amazing. Don't hesitate to book, it's just a step down from the personal experience that kept us coming back

Fantastic Home
A kitchen with all the items you’d need and all very clean and well presented. We would definitely recommend it, as we feel so lucky to have found this little treasure in the beautiful town of Newport. The beds were very comfortable; great following a long day of exploring! Checking in was hassle-free. The location couldn’t be better, beach across the street and down a long flight of stairs. Once on the beach to the right, there were tide pools and all sorts of sea life. We even saw whales breaching from the balcony upstairs!

While we didn't get the best weather the property was a great home away from home for staying in or keeping an eye on the beach for a quick trip down to the shoreline when the sun breaks. Was quiet and comfortable for the whole family.

Nice Ocean View
We rented the entire house so our family could join use. Turns out we ended up without the family. We stayed in the lower unit “dog house” as we called it. Unfortunately the lower level needs some tlc, new paint, new bathroom fan, new electrical receptacles, hot and cold water in the kitchen are reversed. The view is amazing but the downstairs couch is weird (futon is too big) and uncomfortable. Kitchen needs some better knives and a real cutting board. We also don’t think it was very clean as we spent a lot of time keeping after our dogs who were obsessed with the smells on the floor. Also the house numbers are the painted the same color as the house which is a huge safety concern. We enjoyed our stay but would have much rather stayed in the nicer unit upstairs, but because we brought the dogs we stayed downstairs.

This is a clean, dog friendly place to stay. It has a fenced back yard that allows convenient dog breaks between beach walks. There is a stairway down to the beach directly across the street between the Shiloh Inn buildings. There is a reasonable view of the ocean out the front windows.

We loved that this is right across from the stairs to be beach. The view from the upper unit and its deck looks right out to the ocean. Great for whale watching. The upper and lower units were both well equipped and there was plenty of space.

This house was very clean, spacious, and had a beautiful ocean view. The house had a nice living room area with board games and movies to watch during the rainy beach nights. The only bad thing I could say about it was the WiFi was a little slow but other than that it was a great overall experience!

We had a large family get together (3 couples, 5 kids) and the house was a good fit. Great beach access. Fun tub of beach toys found on the lower level. It's not fancy, but it's comfortable. Found all the kitchen gear we could possibly need for cooking in, but also convenient to good restaurants for dining out. Very comfy beds.

The property needs a little remodeling over all. But we found it really clean. Beds are more like full size vs queen as listed. Towels are limited an wash clothes for 10. Location is nice, Heavy traffic on road in front of house. Overall I have had worse an the price is good.
