Quite a basic but adequate stay. Breakfast was quitegood People were very friendly .

Geen aanrader!

Het bed was redelijk maar de kamer erg klein.

We zijn niet erg te spreken over City Gardens suites B&B. De prijs-kwaliteit verhouding laat te wensen over. Het is eerder een hostel dan een B&B. Inclusief ontbijt is wel erg optimistisch geschetst. Er waren bagels van enkele dagen oud en er was gelegenheid om zelf koffie of thee te zetten. Afwas moet je zelf doen. Allemaal geen probleem als je dat van te voren weet maar bij een B&B heb ik een ander beeld. Ik raad deze accommodatie dan ook zeker niet aan.

The place was not luxurious . It was a very low standard accommodation .

Breakfast -ok. Not great Location -ok nice view I was disappointed in the place as it was shabby and run down. People were nice

The accommodation was run down Dirty walls and dirty door very low level . I will not recommend not a well kept property

Shared house in good location

The location to Cypress mountain and activities north of the city was perfect.

It was a little funky and wasn't advertised as a hostel. The walls were extremely thin and you could hear others snoring all night.

Negative Experience!!! Disappointing Stay with Serious Concerns!!! I regret to say that my stay at this property was far from satisfactory. Firstly, its location is inconvenient, being too far from key areas of interest. The room, while initially appearing clean, was not maintained throughout my three-week stay. I was even asked to clean it myself on the last day. The owner's behavior was unsettling and aggressive, leading me to report him to the authorities. Misrepresentation of room quality and comfort was also an issue. Furthermore, I encountered a disturbing incident where a cleaning staff member went through my personal belongings. Privacy and noise isolation were major concerns; the thin walls of this 55-year-old property allowed sounds to travel easily. Breakfast was disappointingly limited to just bagels. Be aware that this property operates under various names but is managed by the same owners, who seem to have a track record of guest issues. This review is a serious warning to potential visitors.

I will definitely stay there again next time I ski at Cypress again.

Good location for skiers who ski at Cypress. Grouse mountain is 5 minutes away. Facility is clean. Instructions are clearly posted at various places. Kitchen will well stocked condiments. Nice homy feel.

The wall is thin. However quiet hours after 10pm is clearly instructed. So should not be ok.

Für uns als Backpacker war die Unterkunft ganz oke

Die Lage war gut, wenn man etwas außerhalb Leben möchte. Frühstück war dabei, klein aber ausreichend. Es gab eine Waschmaschine und Trockner.

Die Zimmer: leider konnte man die Temperatur nicht selbst einstellen so wurde es nachts sehr heiß. Außerdem haben die Zimmer sehr komisch gerochen. Wir hatten etwas Pech mit den anderen Bewohnern. Ich habe mich oft nicht wohl gefühlt. Nachts war es sehr laut weil noch gekocht wurde.

more like a hostel

great location and views, good price

it’s not a B&B but more like a hostel. Walls are paper thin and cleaning responsibility is placed on the guests for common areas. Not that I worry about cleaning after myself, but others weren’t so tidy. Place was not dirty but it wasn’t clean either. Linens were clean but stained are frayed.

A high value haven, which I very much appreciate

Well, organized and comfortable. There was a sense of caring there, so she’s the fresh baked cookies on the table when I arrived.

I think it was just a change of seasons, but all I could find more fans in air-conditioning would actually there was frost in the air and my room was cold. It seemed like the rest of the house was warm though. A space heater and blankets would solve that issue.

Beware of false advertising. This place is more like a cattle barn.

The place had one nice shared toilet that I could find. The 2 shower rooms with sinks were new and clean. I had a very nice shower. It was great being able to meet so many friendly and drunk people late at night. They were very apologetic when I had to go out and ask them to not talk so loud outside of my room. There was plenty of signage posted almost everywhere which made up for the lack of any real host on site. Much of the signage said that "quiet time" was after 10 AM. It seems there have been problems before.

Beware of " secret deals" of discount accommodation at this place. This place is more like a cattle barn with I counted 10 separate stalls, and minimum shared washrooms. The room I had was "with a view". Beware of false advertising. There was no real view and definitely no suites and no gardens on site. The main entrance door did not lock properly and the cloths drier was very noisy and needed repair.

Just one socket in the room is not enough, I had to charge my laptop and phone on the corridor. No place to work remotely where there is eletricity available.

Noisy, not well maintained and expensive for value given

Location was residential and quiet. Staff member was very helpful.

Room was small and a little run down. Lots of noise from the corridor. Only two toilets and two showers for 8 or 9 rooms. Breakfast OK but basic.

Great parking and view, comfortable stay like a someones house.

Fabulous view from the deck of the city and water.The "B and B" is comfortable and clean, the mattress neither too firm or soft[good sleep].The full kitchen is great just like at home which is available for guest to use.There is fruit, cereal,bagals ,milk, coffee /tea and yogurt available at all times.I was glad to find a nice steam iron and board to press our clothes pre a wedding reception in the laundry area. Allowed for a one night stay which is hard to find.

There are two showers and toilets for several rooms to share ,it was not an issue as we seemed to be on different schedules .Spotlessly clean, the other guests were respectful.

A comfortable enough stay but well below expectations.

A really well equipped kitchen with lots of fruit, and other essentials in a well stocked fridge. It was a real benefit to have a large washing machine and drier available for our use.

It is somewhat unrealistic to have 9 guest rooms and only 2 toilets and 2 showers. However we were fortunate that there were just a few guests during our stay. As other guest have remarked, it is more a hostel than a suite and it hardly warrants the high cost, even after discounts.

Quiet and clean. Good location on bus route.

No host. All check in by coded door. About 8 other rooms sharing two bathrooms. Breakfast choices were limited.

Location, price, clean room and kitchen was fabulous.

No temperature control in the room, the ad did not share that this is a rooming house, lack of privacy, as can hear neighbouring room guest talking, other people walking around in undergarments in the morning.
