Excellent location for exploring Alsace. I did not realise how beautiful the village would be. Lots of places to eat and a bar next to the Marie open until 7pm for a cold beer or wine.
The house is terrific. All mode cons you need and a car park close by monitored by security cameras. The area was very quite and peaceful and we would definately pick this property again when we visit the Alsace again

This recently renovated loft was perfect for 3 nights in Alsace! Right in the edge of the quaint village, it was so roomy, airy and quiet. Locatiion was perfect for getting to Christmas markets, wineries and top-notch restaurants! Loved our stay and hope to return for warmer weather!

The house is beautiful and everything we imagined. The small town and the surrounding area are charming and picturesque. Everything was exactly as listed (except for the cost of the jacuzzi, but we were notified in advance and could have had our choice). Our host was generous with amenities and information. And even though we barely speak French, a little help from Google Translate was all we needed.

Erholung pur
In einem tollen Haus am Rand einer altertümlichen Altstadt haben wir eine erholsame Woche verbracht.
Wir haben traumhaft geschlafen und jeden Abend im Whirlpool relaxt. Das ist nicht ganz billig, lohnt sich aber auf jeden Fall.

Das Haus hat alle Erwartungen übertroffen. Alles perfekt geplant. Der Besitzer war sehr sympathisch und hat immer sofort reagiert. Das Jacuzzi haben wir jeden Tag genutzt. Wir können das Haus jedem weiter empfehlen. Das Elsass ist wunderschön und eine Reise wert.

Juwel nahe Colmar in Bergheim
Ein Künstler hat aus einer Scheune ein Ferienhaus auf höchstem Niveau geschaffen. Das gesamte Objekt strahlt höchsten Luxus in allen Bereichen aus. Es wurde nirgends gespart. Das Beste ************ bisher von allen gemieteten Ferienhäusern. Und dazu die Freundlichkeit der Besitzer - eigentlich möchte man so ein Objekt gar nicht weiter empfehlen sondern nur für sich haben.

Absolutely wonderful
My husband and I had a fantastic week in Christiane & Jean-François' georgeous house. It has everything you need for a perfect and luxurious holiday - is new and have all modern features which is so comfortable when you just want to have a peaceful and easy holiday, and we found ourselves in a totally relaxed state almost immidiately after arrival. The well equipped kitchen, the comfy beds and the jacuzzi had a great part in it, too - and the view from the master bedroom and the living room over the gardens of the neighboring houses with the mountains of The Black Forrest in the horizon was just breathtaking...
Bergheim is very charming with beautiful houses and is enclosed by remparts almost all around the old part of the village. It is not as touristy as some of the other nearby villages but the tranquil and cozy atmosphere was very becoming for us and we highly enjoyed our evening walks around the town and on the remparts as the sun was setting.
Bergheim is also a perfect place for visiting all the other great features Alsace has to offer and we took trips along the rute de vins and up the mountains to several chateaux and points de vues.
Christiane and Jean-François are lovely hosts and we will not hesitate to come back to La Grange D’Auguste again❤️

Superbe séjour !!!!
Nous avons passé une superbe petite semaine dans cette propriété très bien placé. Le petit village était vraiment mignon avec un petit restaurant à l'entrée que je recommande. Les équipements de la propriété étaient top et le gérant, très très aimable, nous a laissé un cadeau de bienvenu, je n'en dis pas plus :-)
Je recommanderais ce lieu à mes amis et nous reviendrons sans doute.

Eine wundervolle sonnige Oktoberwoche in Bergheim! Das Haus ist durch seine offene Architektur lichtdurchflutet und zu Recht der ganze Stolz des Besitzers und Architekten. Die Küche ist bestens ausgestattet zum Selbermachen, aber Bergheim bietet fussläufig richtig gute Restaurants. Vielen Dank für die schöne Auszeit in Bergheim - wir kommen wieder.

Tolles Haus in schönem Ort
Wir waren im September für eine Woche in Bergheim. Die Lage ist optimal als Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen und Besichtigungen der diversen (Wein)Orte in der Umgebung. Das Haus ist sehr modern und durchdacht eingerichtet; es hat an nichts gefehlt.

Vakantieweek in Bergheim
Zeer mooi huis, zeer smaakvolle inrichting, heel netjes, alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig. Eigenaars zeer vriendelijk en
hulpvaardig. Zeer goede locatie, in het prachtige Bergheim,
met goede restaurants op wandelafstand. Centraal in de regio Colmar, alle mooie dorpen en stadjes vlot bereikbaar.

Heerlijk huis in de Elzas
Wij hebben met ons gezin (4 personen) een weekje in dit prachtige en smaakvol ingerichte huis verbleven. Het is mooi centraal gelegen in de Elzas. Bergheim is een leuk plaatsje en direct omgeven door meerdere gezellige dorpjes, mooie wijnvelden en andere bezienswaardigheden.
Door de grote ramen is het een heerlijk licht huis. De keuken is prima ingericht, met vaatwasser, oven, magnetron en een Nespresso machine. Het huis is schoon en voorzien van airconditioning waardoor het tijdens een warme periode voor een behaaglijk klimaat in huis zorgt. Prima bedden en een heerlijke douche. Ook de jacuzzi (optioneel, als extra ter plaatse met de eigenaren af te rekenen) is heerlijk om ’s avonds even lekker te ontspannen.
En wat een hartelijk en gastvrij ontvangst door Christiana, die ons ook leuke en goede suggesties heeft gegeven voor restaurants, wijnproeverijen en andere bezienswaardigheden.

Interessante Architektur - geschmackvolle Einrichtung
Wir konnten im Juli 14 Tage in diesem schönen Haus mit allem Komfort wohnen. Die ruhige Terrasse umgeben von Gärten konnten wir jeden Morgen zum Frühstücken nutzen. Das Haus befindet sich in einer günstigen Lage: Ausflüge, Wanderungen, Weinproben und Stadtbesichtigungen (Colmar, Straßburg) sind durch kurze Entfernungen prima möglich. Die Vermieter waren immer erreichbar und die Übergabe war reibungslos.
Einzige Beeinträchtigung: durch das vorangegangene wechselhafte Wetter gab es abends draußen viele Mücken. Also: Mückenabwehr nicht vergessen.....

Prachtige moderne woning met jacuzzi, centraal gelegen
Zeer licht en modern ingericht huis, van alle gemakken voorzien ook airconditioning. Zeer centraal gelegen in het midden van de wijnroute. Prima uitvalsbasis voor uitstapjes in de Elzas. Goed contact met vriendelijke en behulpzame huiseigenaar, fles wijn en water stond in de koelkast. Jacuzzi is echt een plus. Aanrader!

Das Haus ist modern ausgestattet und bietet alle möglichen Annehmlichkeiten.
Einziges Manko war, dass aufgrund von Covid19 der Whirpool nicht benutzt werden durfte.

Logement aménagé avec beaucoup de goût, situé au calme, tout en étant à proximité de Colmar, Ribeauvillé,...
Très bonne communication avec le propriétaire, qui nous a offert un accueil rempli d'attentions (boissons au frais, chocolats). Quant à la propreté et aux équipements mis à disposition, rien à dire tout était parfait. Nous y reviendrons sans hésitation quand nous serons dans la région.

Top huis hartje Alsace !
Geweldig strak, licht en super modern ingericht vakantie huis aan de rand van het dorp Bergheim. Twee badkamers is ideaal voor een gezin met ouders en kinderen. Bakker en 4 goede restaurants op ca 5 min loopafstand. Perfect ! Zeer behulpzame en aardige eigenaar. Bij aankomst stond er al water en een mooie Gewurztraminer voor ons klaar. En daar kwamen we voor ! De wijnen, het eten en de prachtige dorpjes langs de wijnroute. Bergheim is een sfeervol dorpje en centraal gelegen in de Alsace dus een prima uitvalsbasis om de omgeving te verkennen !

Clean, Quiet, Bright, and Supremely Comfortable! Super Location!
This rental property was perfect for our 10-night stay. Top features for the two of us were the air conditioning, the location, the quiet, having a clothes washer, the overall comfort (beds, couch etc.), and the kindness and help of Mr. Haller, the owner. And the jacuzzi. Sheer curtains over the gigantic wall of windows were installed just prior to our arrival, and they worked perfectly. No sunglasses needed indoors (as mentioned by previous viewer), yet the view was not obstructed. I liked that the shower water temperature can be set and comes on instantly at that temperature (wish I had this at home!)
As the owner clearly represents on his VRBO/HomeAway page, he speaks French and German. As primarily English speakers ourselves, we still felt comfortable to rent, and we were right. Together with Mr. Haller, we used phone apps to quickly translate and clearly communicate with no trouble at all. It was part of the fun!
We also were pleased with our choice of Bergheim. A handful of restaurants, open on different days, meant we could eat dinner within walking distance, which we did most days. Boulangerie for breakfast treats of course! And, there was never a problem with car parking (right at the house) or getting in and out of town, as it is not swarmed with tourists (but definitely so charming and worth a visit.)
Another unexpected plus for this town is the pharmacy. Bergheim's includes a specialty in orthopedics. When I got a blister on my foot and had some never-experienced-before ankle swelling (lots of walking in hot temps), the pharmacist examined me and measured me for compression socks and put them on me and applied the blister bandage herself! She was very kind and even spoke English. (This service is not done in U.S. pharmacies.)
We had been to other areas of France seven times before and can now add this to our list of ideal places to vacation in France. It was so easy to get to the Alsace region on the high-speed train from Paris (under 2 hours). And it is also very easy to drive to all the charming villages on the wine route. Thank you to Mr. Haller for creating a very special place to stay and for his wonderful help and responsiveness.

Excellent séjour
Nous avons passé une semaine au mois de juillet dans cet appartement moderne et tout confort qui est très fidèle à sa description sur le site. On se sent tout de suite très détendu. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié le confort des deux chambres chacune avec une douche italienne, le calme, le jacuzzi, et la climatisation. Les propriétaires étaient très accueillants tout en restant discrets. On serait très heureux d'y revenir.

If I had to pick a place to live in Alsace- this would be it!
The house is beautiful, clean, sunny, well equipped, air-conditioned (4 units, 2 downstairs and one in each bedroom) and ideally located at the edge of Bergheim. The beds, the pillows, the sheets, the showers, everything is of high quality. (The only downside is that the living-room is in the sun till noon. We had to wear our sunglasses inside in the morning)
We first looked at houses in Colmar. We spent a day there. It’s a beautiful town, not to miss but it’s packed with tourists, loud and heavy traffic. We were so grateful to come back home to our quiet neighborhood in Bergheim and park right in front of the house. We loved to relax on the terrace and enjoy the jacuzzi. It was such a pleasure to walk around the village of Bergheim, it’s remparts and it’s vineyards (right behind the house) The little bakery was closed for part of our stay but there is a little convenient store a few minutes walk that also sells fresh bread everyday.
Bergheim is ideally located to visit all the little Alsaciens villages. Ribeauvillé is 6 minutes away, (13 minutes on bicycle) Riquewihr, 12 min, Colmar, 20min, Eguisheim and the Haut Koneigsbourg Castle, 25m. You can easily come home and take a nap in between visits.
Don’t hesitate. You won’t regret choosing this place.

Peaceful, sunny, retreat in the Alsace region
The modern design and new construction of this home created a zen, relaxed atmosphere. Everything was very clean and fresh. The kitchen was fully appointed for cooking. Located on the edge of town, it is quiet, yet within quick walking distance of the center of town. We loved sitting on the back porch in the mornings and evenings, watching the gardeners next door tend their gardens. We also loved sitting in the hot tub in the evenings.
The owners are very kind and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed, answering our questions about restaurants and places to visit, etc. We loved the location of Bergheim for our visit to the Alsace region. It is a lovely town within short driving distance of many of the places we wanted to see.
We would definitely return. This lovely VRBO was the perfect end to our vacation.
