Great house, easy to use and comfortable. We stayed 2 nights and had two trips into Joshua Tree to catch the evening glow. Also a day trip to the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway, which is a great way to avoid the heat of the valley in the middle of the day.

Close to the center of town, easy to get to.

Very hard to open front door

The property is conveniently located for hiking and climbing in Joshua Tree. However, the communication with the host was not good. We didn't know how to turn the heater on the first night and he didn't respond to several of our messages, He then charged us for a broken window that we didn't break, only because we had left a tennis ball in the house. We had lost the key (and found it again) and offered to pay for that (If he had already replaced the lock at the time we found the key again). He didn't charge us for that! If you decide to stay at that place, make sure that you take a picture of everything before going in. It is a shame because it kind of ruined or stay there

Very clean and comfortable. Little tricky on how to use the shower. Also would be nice to be able to watch some sort of tv channel other than news

The house is located in a quiet neighborhood. What I really loved is that Mr. Chang did not hover. He was very responsive to my inquiries. My family will definitely stay there again when we are in Yucca Valley.

Overall, the place was fine. Strangely, there were no wash cloths and only one hand towel in the kitchen. The shower had a pot scrubber instead. I asked the host to bring some wash cloths and towels. They said their cleaning company was closed for the holiday and they couldn’t. They also said no one had ever asked for wash cloths or hand towels before, which I thought was strange. I don’t think it’s alright for the rental property to get no service just because their other company was closed. The host was willing to refund us one night that we cut our trip short due to being unable to service the property properly, which was greatly appreciated. The host didn’t respond to my communication via the vrbo app, but did respond promptly to text. Took us awhile to figure out how to turn on the heat since a sign on the wall pointed us to a thermostat, which did nothing. Beds were comfortable, location was great for spending days at Joshua tree.

Nice, cozy home in a very quiet neighborhood close to Joshua Tree National Park. We enjoyed our stay; however, suggest host provide more towels for bathroom, as well as hand towels/paper towels in the kitchen since there is no dishwasher.

Adequate. Some maintenance needed.

We had some personal issues, couldn’t figure out the heater.

Overall we were happy with the accommodations. The location is great for JTNP access and the place was well kept. There is a little “jank” that comes with the property, the front door doesn’t open the easiest and there’s a system for getting the shower to function; but on the other hand for what it is, it’s a decent value. Would stay here again.

My friends and I rented the space for a climbing trip and it was good for what was needed. Lacking of communication with property manager but aside from that there were no other qualms.

Cute home for family use, lots of games for family to play. Neighborhood was quiet and felt safe. And the house is located in a convenient area quick drive to Joshua tree or to the grocery store or a place to eat.

Very clean and neat. All we needed for our short stay for our clan of six.Kids (4) were pleased with our first ABNB.Wanted to stay another night but was taken. Host was great and promt on our trip to Y.V.

Property was minimal in amenities, but sufficient to stay.
Negatives: There was only 1 x towel per person, old/used soaps, NO door handle on patio sliding door, bed was sinking in middle of mattress, felt unstable.. remote didn’t work.
Positives: safe, had utensils, water pressure was fine, lots of windows/natural light, close to jtree.
Recommendations: install door handle on sliding patio door, add towels & smaller hand towels, have better option for soaps, buy new tv remote.

Great with the heat on
Very nice small house on a quiet street a block from the main drag. Once the host, very reachable, explained how to turn on the heat, the house was great.

Perfect location and lots of space
This Yucca Valley home was in a perfect location. Super close to Joshua Tree state park where we spent 2 days and also to Palm Springs. The house is quite large with a big kitchen and 2 large bedrooms w/comfortable beds. There is even a cute backyard where you can see the stars at night! Chris was a super helpful host. would definitely recommend a stay here!

Affordable, clean, safe, good value near downtown & West Gate Entrance
With many inflated prices in the area, this was a welcome relief that we would recommend to others who want Affordable, clean, safe, good value near downtown & West Gate Entrance.
Joshua Tree is so beautiful - that is where we wanted to spend our time. Try 2 Guys Pizza.!

Cozy Place
We were looking for an affordable place to stay for a couple of days and saw this one. We really enjoyed our stay. Place was super clean and very relaxing. We loved it! Thank you Chris!

Great location/questionable amenities
The house was very clean. That’s the good news. She has a beautiful back porch with only 3 chairs, 2 were broken. Kitchen lacked any glassware other than shot glasses. 3 coffee mugs, 1 broken. Kitchen ‘table’ is very small and had only 3 chairs. We ate around the coffee table in the living room.
We appreciated the cleanliness and the comfortable beds but not the kitchen and seating.
Ambiance? Interestingly eclectic.

Comfortable
Place was comfortable. Nice patio area. Was there for one month. Not sure place conducive to long term renting. No access to laundry. No dressers for clothes. They did not give consideration to the length of stay when supplying toilet paper and other essentials that they are to supply. Also, owner showed up way too often for my comfort. Never came in or bothered us, but stopped by to pick up mail, brought over someone to trim bushes in yard. Went in garage a lot, which renters had no access to. Home close to highway, so when sitting on back patio, you heard quite a bit of traffic noise. Overall though, stay was fine.

Comfortable and Outdoorsy
The house is comfortable, clean, and simply laid out. (The patio door could use some fixing.) The neighborhood is expansive with close-by conveniences like grocery stores and fast food restaurants to order food to go. The best part is Joshua Tree National Park only 6 miles. Even though closed, if you look close enough, there are many places to hike. Going north on the gentle roller coastlike asphalt road on Pioneertown was pretty fun and fantastic scenery. Will need to do Part 2 when JT reopens.

Perfect For Dogs Property Owner Was Strange
This was a perfect spot if you have dogs. It is a clean, well laid out unit with a fantastic back yard. I felt my stay was perfect except the last day.
About 2 hours before check out, I hear the loud noise of the garage door opening. (The renters do not have access to the garage). So I walk outside to see what was going and I find the owner of the property revving the engine on a vehicle being stored in the garage. I thought that is weird but noticed my car was blocking the garage exit so I asked if she wanted me to move my car so she could get her car out of the driveway. She said no but continued to rev the engine on the car for 15 minutes. It was so loud, and it started to fumigate the house.
After that, she started cleaning the yard, the back porch, etc and making an incredible amount of noise. I then asked, " do you want me to leave? " she said no, stay till checkout. Then she drove to the side of the house in her other car and sat there with the door open for a half-hour. Then she moved to the front of the house and stared at the front door for another half hour. It looked like she was taking pictures or filming the unit with her cell phone. It was creepy. So asked her, " do you want to come in or something," she said no, but I need to clean the place. I have another tenant showing up. I thought this was strange because checkout for me wasn't until 12pm, it was about 11am and check-in for new renters wasnt until 4pm. When I rented the place, I didn't receive the check-in info until 7pm.
So I said to her " well, I kept the place real clean ( which I did ) so it should be an easy cleanup, which she replied," I will be the judge of that, its my house " ....uncomfortable and of course, rude.
The only thing I can think of was I had a trailer I was traveling with, and she may have thought I was going to steal stuff I don't know, There isn't anything in there anyway
Again, the house was perfect, but that was an odd encounter two hours before checkout When someone barges in on you like that unannounced then creep stalks you outside it makes you so uncomfortable

Joshua hikers
Nice place in progress. Very clean and set up well. Needs a little work on a few items.
Mirrors and shower set for a short person. Would have liked a top sheet and hand and face towels.
Kitchen well stocked but decided to eat out instead.
A great alternative to hotel room.
Close to Joshua Tree NP.
I would stay here again.

Loved this VBRO
Communication with the Owner was very easy. He wrote me back very shortly after any questions I asked. The check in/check out process was also very easy.
The house itself was very cozy. They had all the things you need in the kitchen to make a good meal. They beds were comfortable and the sheets were comfy. Overall the house was very clean. I really enjoyed my stay and when I come back to Joshua Tree I will stay here again.

Very clean well kept place a reasonable price
We were in Yucca Valley to visit our Marine son. Hotels in the area are pretty scare and our experience is that they are pretty nasty. We've opted to use VRBO's when we visit instead. We really only slept in the house and were away most of the day, but seemed to have a well apportioned kitchen with plenty of dishes, pots and pans etc. House was very clean. We did not bring our dogs, but fenced yard would have worked well if we had. One complaint: very few towels; only one bath towel per person and no others. Be nice to have a couple more and a couple of hand towels in the bathroom. The other thing we found a little unusual was that there were no top sheets on the beds; just the comforter. Nevertheless, the beds were comfortable as were we.

Nice little house
It's a cute little house in a quiet area close to everything.

Great place, close to everything including Pappy & Harriet's!
Very nice, well kept house in town at a great rate! Owner for responsive if contacted. Area is quiet but close to everything, stores right down the street along with restaurants. Nice park down the street to let your furry friends run or just to have picnic and enjoy the weather. I will be back..
8.0
Cute little house with all the basic amenities for a lengthy stay
The house is well located and convenient to both Joshua Tree and with easy access to the Morongo Canyon and Palm Springs area. Sparkling clean and well provisioned with kitchen pots, pans, dishes, utensils and other amenities. The back deck area looked lovely, but unfortunately the only reasonably warm days were the day we arrived and left, so we did not get to enjoy the outside. The two queen beds were very comfortable; the bedding looked new and the comforters were cosy and warm. The sofa is rather stiff and hard and can only seat two as it feels as though there is a rigid bar between the cushions. This probably would not matter if the weather is good enough to enjoy the patio area, but for winter months, it means that there is only seating for two in the living room.
For those with dogs, outside the private patio area there is a very large, fully enclosed yard for pets to explore and a doggie door for on-demand access to the outside if that is desired. I had to block one small gate with a few rocks (available in the yard), as my little 6-pound houdini always finds the tiniest of holes to make his escape. Other than that, the yard was wonderfully secure.
I was very pleased at how quickly the owner responded to any inquiries.
