Not overly impressed

Good location for going to Doncaster races.

I was offered a different room by staff as I was staying with my wife and had been allocated a room with twin beds. I accepted the offer, only to find out when I returned to the hotel the room had been allocated to somebody else and they had no other availability. Dissatisfied to be offered something only to have it retracted

Lovely!

Friendly staff, beautiful view from the room on the second night.

The room allocated on night one- a disabled room but the bed was low and noisy. The shower was too low for my husband. We are not disabled

Hi Lovely room spacious and the view of the race track was spectacular. Staff friendly and breakfast good a very good selection buffet. We experienced a few nibbles from the kitchen and the food was tasty hot and presented very well and the portion was large.

A Night in Doncaster

Location and a clean quiet room with a very nice shower. I didn't hear any external noises.

I had to leave before breakfast was served. There seemed to be a strobe light on the wall at the ceiling that stored occasionally until I fell asleep. That was a bit annoying.

My brother and wife stayed there...cant say much about the place. Looked porche though. I liked the fact that it had a secured parking.

The location, it took a while to navigate around the city centre. I could have preferred a better room for my family...one that faces more towards the lake than towards the racecourse.

Enjoyable once we’d managed to move the furniture.

The layout of the room. There was an exceptional view from a floor to i ceiling window, but nowhere to sit and appreciate it without moving a very heavy settee. The view from where it was positioned was on to the brick wall of the old racecourse stand . It took two of us to move it to a better position. A n easy chair by the window was all that was required.

If you are racing in Doncaster stay here!

Rooms are of a good standard. Arrived after dark, opened the curtains in the morning for a full view down the back straight of the racecourse, doesn't get much better than that. Didn't have the breakfast.

Easy to check in and check out.

I didn’t like that the kettle wasn’t clean and it had limescale. Travelling with a baby under 1 year old and having to prepare formula wasn’t ideal to boil water in that kettle. However, staff at the restaurant were accommodating with providing fresh boiling water from the restaurant for free.

A winner at the racecourse.

Fourth time here and the standards haven’t fallen. Spotless. Stylish. Lovely views over the racecourse. I way out from town but excellent nonetheless.

A lack of seating in the bar area meant we had to sit in the lobby. Minor issue but could be better set out.

Even better than expected

Staff were absolutely delightful. The hotel itself is just spectacular. The room was lovely and had everything you could need. Bathroom couldve done with a little more cleaning but nothing major!

Bathroom was a little unclean, marks in the shower and on the toilet seat. However this did not effect my stay.

Too expensive with hidden charges for parking

It was convenient for the racecourse

The fact they added parking charges of £5 per day which weren’t advertised . Also £15 extra on top of the room charge for breakfast is a bit of a rip off to be honest .

room. shower and bath ...water pressure on top floor is low therefore took a very long time for bath to foll to a small level

Poor reception staff nice hotel

Nice view from the queen bed suite.

The fact I had to spend 10 minutes proving I had booked for the weekend then being charged twice for the room only to be told it's not an issue!! They then went on to say it should be in my account with 5 working days..... Their mistake and they very little interest in it
