About this cottage rental
This unique property is set amongst 4.5 acres covered mostly in native bush located in the Manu Bay Coastal Reserve area. Flourishing bird life includes Tui, Kereru, Fantails and Warblers nesting in surrounding trees. Bird song can be heard throughout the day especially at dawn.
Laze around enjoying amazing ocean views from the cottage or explore private bush tracks down to streams and ocean. Visit Raglan's main surf beach (surf patrolled) 20 minute walk or 5 minutes by car. Also in the area there are surf breaks, surf lessons, boat ramp (1 km away) yoga classes, golf course or sample a range of cafes, bars, shopping and entertainment all available in nearby Raglan village just 7 kms away.
This haven is ideal for couples as a romantic getaway or for family/friends looking for a special experience.
There is one other house located on the block, out of sight so your stay here will be private.

Note: Stairs to loft bedroom are steep. Not full head room in loft.
Some parts of the bush track are steep but manageable by people of moderate fitness. There are large rocks on the beach. (my 80 and 75 year old in laws can manage these).Cellphone coverage is patchy.

Fantastic situation nestled against native bush with amazing views over the ocean. The bach is quite rustic but tidy and comfortable. Basically my dream cottage and location. I just didn't like the big furry spiders in the cobwebs, nor the big ones running around the bathroom....yikes!

Property was a lovely kiwi bach, just what I'd love to live in. Simple, clean by the sea.
The area (Raglan town) was quiet but friendly and welcoming. We didn"t do much walking or exploring outside as weather was terrible. This didn't stop us enjoying our stay.

Toni was easily contactable regarding any issues, the cabin was very tranquil and private. It suited us perfectly. The drive into town was under 10 minutes, so we got to enjoy all the wonderful things that Raglan has to offer. The large bed downstairs was comfortable.

Lovely place to stay. Simple old school kiwi bach with everything you need. everything in good working order, clean. Very comfortable furniture inside and out for relaxing and enjoying the view. Good quality linen provided. Would definately stay again.

Cute bach nestled in the bush looking down to the surf beach. Great location for peace and quiet. A quick drive gets to the town for all that has to offer and the beaches. Lovely place.

We loved this place. It was the perfect simple Bach immersed in nature with a bush walk down to the beach. A beautiful view of the sea and bird song in the morning. Just the perfect spot away from the crowds and near to the fantasy beaches of Raglan. Thank you.

The bush and the view are very special. This is iconic NZ. The bach is simple but comfortable, has all you need. It has a homely welcoming atmosphere. It would have a different feel in the summer, our stay was in the winter, with some wild weather adding to the drama of the view.

Great property
Very close to manu bay. Walking track can be super slippery to the beach. Couldnt find tatoo rocks. Very comfy bed !!! Super quiet. Driveway in can be slippery as well. Quite steep into property. We had 4x4 and a 2 wheel drive. If it was super wet then may be an issue.

We loved our stay in the cottage. Very clean and comfortable, had everything we needed. Absolutely gorgeous view and very peaceful. The walk to the beach was an enjoyable too. Hope to be back, thanks Toni and Stephen.

An amazing little spot
A cute little bach in an absolutely amazing setting. The house was well setup with everything we needed. The property is such a gem of a location - we enjoyed a couple of walks down to the beach and the lookout. Really appreciated the laid back atmosphere of the place – felt like we were miles from anywhere, but just a short drive back into Raglan.

If you’re looking for a quiet place in the bush but still close to all that Raglan has to offer this Kiwi bach is a cutie.
Thanks for letting us stay. The forest walk down the beach track is an experience in itself. So much to do …..or you can just sit in the loft or on the veranda or at the viewpoint and watch the surfers in Manu bay.

Beautiful Escape
A little piece of heaven hidden away in a private setting, wake up to the sights of manu bay, with early morning surfers.
Birds singing in the bush, sunlight pouring in the windows. Warm and cozy, comfortable bedding, wifi included.
This gorgeous little gem is the perfect place to get away from it all.

Didn’t disappoint in any way. Spacious and yet cozy. Isolated but felt safe and close enough to town for eating out and getting supplies.
I could have spent the whole week just sitting on the porch looking at the view listing to the waves. A great hideaway.

Peaceful, beautiful views of the ocean and private, but also close enough to the Raglan township for cafes and shopping. The house is low key and comfortable with everything we needed. Relaxing.

A Tranquil Hideaway
This property provides us with all we need. The cottage is basic but lovely. It is really clean. The clincher is the location. It is quiet - except for the amazing birdlife. The views are amazing AND a short bush walk takes you to Manu Bay.

Excellent view and location
We couldn't ask for a better spot to spend our Christmas stay than at Manu bay. We had a view of the surfers from the front deck and such easy access to the best beach in raglan just 5 minutes away. Thank you again and we will be back from sure.

Untouched paradise
Awesome place to stay tucked away amongst native bush out of the hustle bustle of town. Private and tranquil a great place to relax and recharge the batteries. Excellent communication with hosts.

Very nice Bach overlooking ocean
Very nice Bach, great little talk to the beach and house had everything we needed and was very light and breezy. Short road down to it is fairly steep and single lane, so in wet weather care needs to be taken but great natural setting

Surfers Paradise
It was so peaceful, tranquil and relaxed. Waking up with the sounds of the birds and the view of the beach with the surfers in die distance. Will definitely stay there again.
