About this apartment rental
Enjoy the quiet Sylvan Shores neighborhood and a view of the South River and bridges in this new modern apartment that has a treehouse style deck with table and chairs for relaxing and enjoying the outside. The unit is served by a separate entrance and free parking.
There is a queen size bed with a memory foam mattress in the bedroom and a comfortable Ikea convertible bed in the loft area. The sleeping spaces are separated by a custom cedar barn door made from reclaimed cedar from the original home. The bathroom is accessible from the bedroom and common space through pocket doors with bright natural lighting and subway tiling.
The custom kitchenette is generously equipped with cooking utensils, flatware, dishes, glassware, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and commercial two-burner cooktop. There is also a small Weber charcoal grill for outside grilling.
You can bring your boat! There is a boat launch directly in front of the house (the boat should probably be 24' or less), and there are slips available for rent on a daily basis for $35 per day.
We are no longer accepting pets in the Loft.
In support of the global effort to conserve energy resources utilizing reasonable practices, we have installed Ecobee “smart” thermostats in all of our listings that the guests can also control. The thermostats are preset with a maximum heating setting of 72 degrees and a minimum cooling setting of 72 degrees.
The Sylvan Shores neighborhood has a new, large swimming platform on the South River which offers fun for kids and adults. Easily walk or use the neighborhood water access to kayak or SUP to Mikes Crab House, a popular seafood restaurant that you can view from your deck. The Downtown Annapolis is just 6 miles away and offers cultural attractions, bars and restaurants, historical tours and access to the Naval Academy. The area is well served by Lyft and Uber and I’ll also give you my “insider” parking tips to make driving to Annapolis City easier.

The loft was very clean and modern inside. We enjoyed having our meals on the deck, with a nice calming view of South River. The owner was very flexible (e.g. check-in time) and easy to communicate with.
Beware that the kitchenette is small (not much room to cook if that matters to you). I personally would prefer having a firmer mattress, but others may disagree.

This was our 2nd time staying at this lovely location. The views and location did not disappoint. The apartment is small but exactly the right space for a short Annapolis mini-break. Perfectly located for a lovely day at the Renn Fest, a wonderful dinner at Mike's, and an excellent day of boating through Annapolis's many waterways. The nights were quiet and the mornings were peaceful. Just a lovely weekend. Thank you!

Property was nicely decorated, kitchen furnished (no stove, but an electric cook-top stored on top of the refrig), comfortable bed, bathroom clean with plenty of hot water for showers, TCL TV, internet, etc. Owner happened to be there and was extremely helpful and friendly. Would happily rent again when we need something in this area.
Google maps had a little difficulty with finding the turn into the area, but once located it is an easy in and out by car. Hint: if northbound on Riva Road, turn to left about 100 yards past the volunteer fire station, just before the lane divider, then head toward the "Do not enter sign" and turn right just before the sign; continue to Ridge Road.

This property was perfect for my husband and I to stay for the weekend wedding we attended nearby. The area was quiet and had a great view. The loft was welcoming, comfortable and clean. If we come back to this area, we would try to stay here again, Thank you Joe!

Husband and I stayed here for 2 nights. It was our first overnight in the Annapolis area and this loft turned out to be a great spot for exploring the area. The view and that deck are perfect! And the accommodations are perfect for 2 people. We had a wonderful weekend and staying at this loft was part of that. Thank you!

The loft is close to Annapolis in a cute little neighborhood (great for walks). You are walking distance to a restaurant that is right on the water and has yummy food. Super clean and cozy- we will be back!

We enjoyed staying in the loft! It was cozy, but perfect for our small family. Everything is new, and well appointed! I especially loved eating a meal on the deck with the river view! The location of the loft is a few short miles to Annapolis! We enjoyed our stay very much!

Lovely quiet location for a perfect break
A brilliant apartment perfectly located for visiting Annapolis and further afield. The apartment has everything you need for your stay with modern and comfortable fixtures and fittings, the owner has a real eye for detail and throughout the booking process kept in touch to make sure we were happy with arrangements. A real added bonus is the short walk to the famous Mikes Bar and Crab house!
