About this apartment rental
Spacious and very comfortable new apartment. Furnished with a Queen Bed Set in Master Room with Dresser, a Second and Third room with two (2) bunk beds, both with a full closet, accommodating 4 kids (or 2-adults and 2-kid) in each room. All rooms have A/C and have full size closets, spacious balcony, kitchen with all stainless steel equipments, micro, washer/dryer, TV set, DVD, music system.

Peña Mar Ocean Club is a well secured complex with 24 hour security. The development has three pools, 1 children's pool, 1 tennis court, one basketball court, one Jacuzzi, walking track, and an exercise room with sauna, playground and clubhouse. The view from the balcony is spectacular you can see Villa Marina, Palomino, Palominito islands and on a clear day you can see Culebra and St. Thomas. Access to apartment with no stairs at all, 2-car parking spaces, gated complex
The complex is very safe with 24 hours security and gated entrance. Snorkeling trips are 1 minute away (at the marina you see from the deck); Playa Seven Seas is a beautiful and uncrowded beach; a nature reserve w/ guided tours is 5 min; and El Yunque Caribbean National Forest is 20 min. Grocery shopping is 2 min away. Also, you can take a ferry (5 minutes away) or an airplane on the local airport to visit Culebra and Vieques islands. El Conquistador Resort and the golf course are 3 minutes away. Walking distance to Marinas where you can go for a day sail to Icacos, Palominos, Ramos among other islands. San Juan is only one hour away

We enjoyed our stay but had some inconvenience when host was not able to provide code/location for lock box. Waited outside the door for 4 hours with our belongings until I was able to get VRBO to help us and they offered a $400 voucher for 4 night which for local rates was not enough for our stay. Finally, host sent us a text and call and informed us of the miscommunication saying that he contacted us to WhatsApp which was never mentioned in initial contact. Finally, we were able to access our place and enjoyed location, lay out of the condo as well as access to the marina for our catamaran excursion. Host offered a monetary day compensation for inconvenience!!! PR people are nice and accommodating. We will be back!!!!

This property is outstanding. Breathtaking view from the balcony and the living space was beautiful.

Property has a great view of the Ocean and of Fajardo in general, very pretty. Apartment is clean, lots of room, very secure, great amenities, would recommend for a family. Host was very helpful and made the experience very simple.

The condo is beautiful! Spacious and comfortable with everything you need, including beach equipment. The balcony and the views are amazing, hands down my favorite part of the trip. I would absolutely stay here again.

We had a great stay at Carlos’ condo for our kids’ first overseas trip. Great place with fresh renovations, beautiful views, and of course the great pools. Carlos was a very responsive host and made sure that every issue noted by a previous reviewer had been addressed. He even had some tasteful holiday decorations and candles around since we were there over Christmas holiday. He was very interested in making sure we enjoyed our stay and had no troubles throughout. Would definitely recommend and our family would definitely return again. Thank you, Carlos!

I can’t say enough about just how wonderful our stay was in this beautiful condo. The view, location, and amenities were outstanding. I was also very impressed with the host, always making sure we had everything we needed and were happy. I can’t wait to come back!

The property was totally dark when we came in, unable to turn any lights. Switches that did not produce any light or did not work, windows blocked by hurricane shutters, etc.
Upon arrival, the property had a funky smell, it felt humid and hot... at least the A/C should have been left running to avoid discomfort. Presentation is a ZERO.
Closet doors in the kitchen/laundry are open and inoperable. The overall look at the house was dirty. Cushions were dirty, stained, smelly, not inviting.
The fridge developed some moisture in the outside of the door. Presence of mold was not only found but it was visible. ALL the ceiling fans are in the same frequency, therefore, you turn one one and ALL of them turn on... you turn the light on in the living room and the light in the master comes up, this is very inconvenient.
The drawers in the dresser (master bed) have mold, smell so bad, unable to use them to store my close. While taking a shower, I soon realized that you either burn your skin as the water is beyond hot or you simply had to put up with cold, I mean, COLD water... there is not middle ground here for a "warm" shower. Extra towels would've been appreciated, just a single set. The living room is super hot.
Sliding doors didn't lock. They slide harder than usual and sounds in need of grease or repair. This place is definitely not worth what I paid for.

The good:
We absolutely loved our stay in Puerto Rico. The condo was lovely and a very good value for my family and me. The owner was very kind to have his brother drop off chairs, beach towels, and a cooler. The property was clean, the beds comfortable, and the view of the ocean was amazing. We felt very safe in the gated community. It was quiet and the grounds are well maintained. Puerto Rico itself was just wonderful! The condo is very close to everything in Fajardo and El Yunque.
The not-so-good:
The hot tub was cold the whole time we were there. Apparently, this is an ongoing issue.
The only door to the condo swung shut from the wind and went right through the molding and trapped us inside. This happened twice and the first time almost made us late for an excursion reservation but we managed to use some tools we found to get ourselves out. The second time we were unable to get out for well over an hour. It was very upsetting to think of what would have happened in a fire or if we were in a rush to get to the airport, etc. The owner was very dismissive and told me to "relax". He knew this had happened before because he gave me a vague warning in a text about "being careful" with the door, but didn't fully explain about the door getting stuck. He installed an eye hook behind the door to keep it open which really isn't helpful as it's a security issue. If he knew there was a problem, he should have just installed something to slow the door close or another solution. The security guard had to come and bust the door in to get us out and he ended up injuring himself and bled all over the floor! He also said this is a problem with the units at the building and the owners are encouraged to fix the door swing. It was a little too much drama for our last night there!
The kitchen could use some basic spices (salt, pepper, sugar, garlic, etc) and was missing some kitchen basics such as a cookie sheet. The bathroom bidet was dripping from the piping so we couldn't use it. Some minor updates and repairs would really make this place a little nicer!
I tell this not to discourage anyone from renting this place. Overall, I still give it a good value and thought the owner was a nice guy. I am writing this just to hold him accountable for fixing the door so other families don't run into the same problem or safety issues. Just make sure the issue is fixed before renting.

We arrived at the property really late and got lost.. (GPS error) but the owner was extremely accommodating and had someone meet us to take us to the apartment. The property was perfect for our needs. We all fit comfortably and the view from it was amazing!! We were not able to enjoy the apartment complex amenities due to not enough time but they were beautifully kept. The pools were clean and inviting. The complex is very secure with a guard at the gates. We would definitely stay there again if we have the chance. The town of Fajardo is lovely!

Beautiful property, clean in a nice neighborhood, very responsive and easy communication from the very first day day with its owner, who went to the airport at 11:00 pm to hand me the key.

The complex is very safe, the location is perfect with easy access to restaurants, marina, beaches and rivers. You can search in the web the many tours that this area of PR offers including El Yunque, Las Tinajas, Bio Bay and boat/catamaran to Palomino Island, Icacos and Cayo Lobos.
The apartment has a beautiful view, perfect infinity pool (one of three, but due to Covid you can only use the main pool, and you will need reservation) and was very clean.

I have wonderful time with my family. The VIEW was the main attraction in this apartment. How ever read carefully before you stay. Because of covid 19 restrictions pool and Basketball courts are not available. Also if you planning to have some family over or spend time with friends this will not work because there is no visitors allowed to this apartment. The price could be a little high keeping in mind you don't have the full amenities because of covid 19. If you want to lay down and rest after a full day outside this will work. You can fixed 8 with no problems. Kitchen have all that you need to cook for the Family. And like I said ... you can beat that view.Carlos was very respectful and professional. He definitely know how make you fill warm.You can make this a 5 star staying if you add a bigger TV and another TV for the main room. Also I will throw some free wifi service.I think this will be a perfect place to stay when covid 19 restrictions are gone.

My family and I loved our stay at Peña Mar Ocean Club! Carlos was great, very hospitable and only a phone call away. The apartment was fully equipped with everything we needed and then some. The view is spectacular! This place is great for all groups of people whether you're planning a relaxing or busy vacation. The complex has all kinds of amenities you can enjoy and is only a short distance from many other attractions in Fajardo. If that is not enough, you can drive less than 10 minutes to catch a ferry to Culebra or Vieques islands! We had an amazing few days!!! Would love to go back!
