Cedar Key is one of the oldest ports in the state, and when Florida's first railroad connected it to the east coast, it became a major supplier of seafood and timber products to the northeast. Today it has become a haven for artists and writers who find the unspoiled environment inspirational to their work. Many people visit each year to walk the historic streets browse the shops and galleries, explore the back bayous and enjoy the world-famous restaurants featuring seafood fresh from local waters. Annually, about 100,000 visitors come to enjoy the Old Florida Celebration of the Arts in April, the Fourth of July Celebration and the October Seafood Festival, as well as our Christmas Celebration, and recently Annual Pirate Invasions!
In addition to excellent fishing, bird-watching and nearby nature trails, guides are available to take parties for off-shore trips to the outer islands. A public marina with boat docking is available.
Federally protected sanctuaries, the Cedar Keys form a chain of barrier islands ideally suited to a vast range of migratory and shore birds, including the elusive white pelican, roseate spoonbill and bald eagle. The variety of natural habitats, from salt marshes to Indian shell mounds, makes this truly a nature lover's paradise.
Visit us in the Heart of Florida's Nature Coast, a recreational paradise. We are a small, relaxed, island community located three miles out in the Gulf of Mexico. Rich in small town flavor, it is said Cedar Key is the Island community where time stands still. Cedar Key is located on Way Key, the largest island in the "Cedar Keys".
The Cedar Keys make up one of the oldest bird and wildlife refuges in the United States. With its rich history and natural beauty, you may not want to leave!

Everything was perfect. Plenty of extra towels, sheets, blankets and pillows. The location was close to everything but remained secluded and private. Beautiful view's and wonderful nature sounds from the patio, and the condo itself was bright, very clean and the beds were comfortable.

Unfortunately hurricane Idalia hit the week before we were scheduled to stay. But the condo itself was not damaged. We stayed for just the weekend because the town was under reconstruction. But got a credit for the rest of our stay. So we are definitely going back. It was very clean and we enjoyed the time we had there.

Nice place - no problems with the check-in/check-out - will probably return (after completion of restoration from the hurricane damage caused just 3 days after we departed.....8^(.....)

Con: Both bedrooms too bright at night; needs blackout drapes or something. Both showers are not very good.

This condo fit our needs for 3 retired adults and condo units have an elevator to avoid lugging things up and down stairs. Loved the balcony out back that faces a tidal marsh.

Cedar Key is a quaint town!
The rental was ok, not quite as clean as expected but we made it. The unit is not very handicap friendly, neither are most restaurants in town. My husband who is handicapped could only manage to go in and eat at 2 places. Duncans is one and Annie’s cafe after it opened on Thursday.we left a day early so my husband could manage to sleep in his own bed without needing help to get into bed at the unit

Great time at Nature's Landing. Location was fantastic, nestled along the estuaries.
Fantastic time at Nature's Landing. Unit was very clean and well-equipped, and has a great view with lots of bird and marine activity. Definitely plan on returning to this quiet retreat.

Beautiful condo, very clean and we loved the private fishing pier. Great family fun!!!

Great Experience
The unit was exceptionally clean. The assigned parking spot seems distant at first, but is actually very convenient to the elevator. Parking spots beneath building are tight, not for large vehicles. Highly recommend golf cart rental for excursions, but unit is just blocks away from the marina restaurant/shopping area. Very natural setting. No-see-ums are horrendous in late afternoon, early morning, but that is nature in Florida.

The location was close to the wedding venue and all of Cedar Key's restaurants and sights were all within walking distance. The unit was clean and well stocked with all the necessities. All the appliances that we used were all in working order. The view from the balcony was great. Parking was ample.

Our family of 5 (kids 7, 5 and 2) and a small dog found this to be the perfect in-state road trip. Cedar key is not your stereotypical beach town, and that's a very good thing. More bayou than beach, Cedar Key is laid back, quiet, friendly, with amazing seafood and local small town gems. The condo was clean, comfortable and spacious, with an awesome balcony overlooking the mangroves, a block away from the city beach area, and about a 5-10 minute walk from nearly everything of note on the key. Check in was smooth, condo exactly as advertised, and we fully recommend this for anyone looking to slow down, enjoy the beautiful, unique gulf coast nature, and switch to island time for a while.
