My husband and a couple of our friends stayed at this location this weekend and here are my take aways. The outside was lovely! The water levels were perfect and we floated the river/ hot tubbed all weekend.if you’re looking at this location check the water levels! The beds were extremely comfortable and clean. The room to the right (if walking into the home) is where I stayed. Had an incident in the bathroom where I got locked inside. The door couldn’t be completely shut after that. The door to the room itself also gave us a hard time as well. The other room is where my friends stayed and their only complaint was there was a suspicious stain on the shower curtain. The couch was comfy but not big enough for 4 people to sit comfortably and one of us had to sit on the ground. I would Maybe suggest a smaller dinner table and maybe a sofa chair. The kitchen is a great size but only two burners work. We did have some bugs in the house as well but it is summer in the hill country. Over all we had a really great time but I would Say the home needs a bit of TLC and updates. The owner was responsive to any and all questions I had.

We loved this place! Clean and comfortable. We loved the connivence to town with the feel of being in the middle of the woods. We saw tons of wildlife. Everyday we saw 2 gray foxes pass through the backyard. There are hummingbirds and deer all around and the view was amazing. There is an empty lot next door and thick woods beyond that. There is another home on one side but it appeared to be vacant during our entire week stay. Across the river is a ranch where we could see goats pass through every morning. I would definitely recommend this place and we plan to return.

We really liked the place along with the peace and quiet. The house does need some maintenance in some places. The kitchen faucet leaks at the base if you open it all the way, one bathroom door does not close completely and one shower does not drain well.

The property is located out of town and was very peaceful and quiet. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay despite the fact that it felt like there had been a rushed cleaning job prior to arrival. The kitchen counters and cabinets were not thoroughly cleaned so hope that will be addressed for future clients. Lacks the nice homey touches of other properties in the area. Easily corrected issues.

Location was the best part of the stay. Beds were comfortable. Wifi strong. The house needs a kitchen update...cabinets are old and stained. Dishwasher would not start and locking mechanism did not work. Direct TV was ok but we were unable to get NFL games....odd to be in Texas and not get to watch football! Maybe there was a way but it was taking to long to find it.

We enjoyed our stay. Downtown wimberly was only 10 mins away which has a lot of shops and a HEB. About 25 mins from floating the horseshoe. We seen largemouth and even catfish in the river behind the house and deer came to visit frequently. The location is very quiet and relaxing.

Beautiful view of the Blanco River. We loved sitting on the big deck - it's a very quiet and relaxing area. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean and well-stocked. It's an easy 14-minute drive to downtown Wimberly. I would definitely go back!

The house was very clean and the beds were comfy. Very quiet neighbor so it made relaxing very easy. The walk down to the river is a little steep but worth it when you get down there. The deck overlooking the river was big and had a nice table and chairs to sit and enjoy the view. Will definitely go back and stay again!

A beautiful, quiet, and relaxing place in the Texas Hill Country surrounded by wildlife and just minutes from Wimberley. The back deck sits high on a bluff with a beautiful view of the Hill Country and Blanco River below and a short walk down to a wonderful swimming hole.

The property was stunning and peaceful. We seen several animals at night walking behind the property. There was a ringtail cat, raccoon, deer,2 grey foxes, armadillos and a blind snake which I’ve never seen! We love the outdoors so this was great! The only things I would recommend is a better shower head, some spatulas for cooking and check the A/C because the temperature wouldn’t get colder than 78. Oh and going down the stairs in the back was easy but man that 2nd flight was a beast! All in all it was worth every penny spent!

It was such a wonderful and relaxing stay! The view was amazing, and we thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the porch, or going down to the river. We felt removed from the city, but it didn’t take long at all to get into town and enjoy different things in the area.

The house sits right above the Blanco River, which sets the amazing mood of this place. The living area is open and comfortable with a view that never fails to put you at ease. I loved that the bedrooms each have a bathroom and are located on opposite sides of the house. The property is well kept, if a little overgrown in spots, but creates the Hill country ambience. I came to get away and retreat...this was a wonderful place for that.
A few minor recommendations:
1)Please get better internet/wifi. Would love to come and stay longer, but have to have the wifi stable.
2) Fix the under cabinet lights.
3) Replace the broken paper towel holder.
4) Fix the drain in the east bedroom bathtub.

The house was clean and comfortable. The hot tub was nasty and needs replacement. Fiberglass peeling and filters full of trash. The river was very nice but it is a long way down the 99 stairs and is not for middle/upper ages as far as walking up and down to get to the river. There was a community gate to drive to the river but we did not receive access through the rental agency. If we were allowed to drive down to the river it would have been wonderful.

Several light bulbs inside the cabin were burnt out which made the interior seem dark. Tub did not drain properly. Washer and dryer were old and seemed dirty. Paint coming off the 1 in one of the bathrooms.

The dishwasher didn’t work; the paper towel rack was broken; the drip pans on the stove were unusable; the remotes had dead batteries; there was a wasp nests on the deck outside; there were lots of flies in the residence when we checked in; there was trash and a dirty table on the deck; there were stains in the toilets; the furniture looked like the owners were dumping it there.

This house was the perfect location for a getaway for my husband and I. The river was absolutely beautiful and surprisingly full considering the drought we have been having. It wasn’t crowded at all. We paddleboarded and saw lots of fish. Our only regret was we didn’t bring fishing poles! We will definitely be back!

This place was perfect for our group. Separate rooms and bathrooms. Close access to water. Only downside was the steps were a little steep, but nothing that couldn’t be handled by most people I think. Would stay again!
